The store is broken up by two floors and both offer some very unique items. I was really impressed by the first floors selection of furniture for such an inexpensive price. They also offer a large selection of vinyl on both floors. Overall this is a great place to check out while in Bellefonte that offers really cool items at great prices!

Be careful in dealing with this business! We ordered a bed,…read morechairs, and bookshelves. We told two salespeople that we needed to have the delivery men move the old bed from downstairs to upstairs. When the delivery men arrived they refused to move the bed because there was nothing in their notes about moving a bed. The salespeople never bothered to write it down! So the delivery guys said it would be $60, then $30, then $80 to move the bed. As they were leaving, one of the delivery men said, "If your dog comes near me and bites me, I'm going to kick it." They did come back to finish the delivery, but the owner of the company didn't have the professionalism to call us back! They also didn't know how to set up the new bed we purchased. After spending thousands of dollars on furniture there in the past; we will be buying from another furniture store.

I was given so many options to find the right fit, and didn't feel pressured at all. Ask for Cindy, she's fabulous. I bought a large Stein World bookcase on casters, a beautiful Bassett console, a gorgeous Norwalk ottoman, and a colorful Turkish-style rug. The delivery guys were very professional and careful with all the items. Cindy even came with the truck to see my room and help put everything together! We were so happy with the service, quality, and prices that we went back and got a bedroom set, too. When the bed set arrived, one of the side boards had a small issue, so they replaced it with a new one right away. Really can't say enough about Capparella's!

This little town is a little beat down but it just oozes charm! At around 10 o'clock Victorian House Antiques seemed to be the only shop open (correction: they technically open at 11 but the shop owner was in and kindly allowed us in early to look around. Extra star for him!). I love all things funky and old and this store had a pretty solid stock of every random piece of antique furniture or doo-dad you could think of. Although the shop is a tad small the entire store was expertly organized and tidy. I've been to some shops that are so crammed full of junk you're literally required to twist and bend just to get around. This was not the case here. Another pretty awesome feature is the price comparison done with some of the larger pieces. The shop will list their price along with a description of the piece and then they'll post a print-out from ebay with the pricing info and stats on a similar piece. You're essentially comparison shopping without any leg work! Although I didn't make any purchases this is definitely a store I will be making a trip back to when I'm in the market for some accent pieces. Nearly everything I saw (shelves, little cart bars, end tables, etc., etc) was in crazy good condition and very reasonably priced. Well done Victorian House Antiques!

I've always loved the Habitat for Humanity ReStores. Their prices are excellent, much lower than…read moremost other thrift stores (MUCH cheaper than Goodwill) and they have nice stuff. We've gotten a few pieces of furniture, lamps, kitchen items, and lots of scrap wood at this particular location and the prices have saved us hundreds of dollars. They have nice bathrooms but recently started locking them which is slightly inconvenient but I guess they've had trouble with that. The people working there are generally nice but definitely not super pleasant- they're not rude but not especially outgoing either. Overall a great place to go for miscellaneous items you don't mind getting secondhand!

This is such a unique place! Seems to defy physics, the floor is on an incline because it was an…read moreold theater, but somehow the cabinets holding the antiques are precariously propped up, and everything wobbles as you walk through, but amazingly it seems like nothing falls over! Lots of little hidden rooms and spaces, it's like walking through a treasure hunt! I visit here whenever I'm in the area!
