It turns out that Reeta is a part owner of Kerls Salon that specializes in natural hair care. My daughter started her natural hair car journey, about three years ago. She had a relaxer and decided to let it grow out and is only using natural hair care products and no heat on her hair. Reeta provided her card and we decided to schedule an appt. Veronica was our stylist and she suggested a hair steam to minimize the frizz and then we were going with a large hair twist. The staff is nice and courteous. Natural hair can be wash and go, large or micro twists or braids. The appt can be long so be sure to think about that with your schedule. The salon also sells hair care products with looks like two stylists and room for two more. My daughter was pleased with her hair and the larger twists should last for two weeks.

The size of the twists was not micro. The size became larger and larger as the girl went up my hair. I used the "human hair" the store supplied ($59.99 per pack), which she stated would be mid-back length. It didn't even reach my shoulders. The stylist would part a section of my hair and add that eco-gel. When she got to the section she was going to twist, she added more gel and raked the small tooth comb through my hair, ripping out bushels of hair at a time. I'm certain my natural hair is beyond damaged now. At the end, the hair was spritzed with some water and sprayed with oil. No trimming or styling of the hair was done. I was left with uneven twists going in all different directions, with straggling ends. I told the stylist I was not happy. All she said was, "sorry." To top it off, when I got home, 2 of the twists had already fallen out. I tried calling the owner/manager (who answered the phone), and she said she was not there. I called three more times, and they proceeded to hang up the phone on me. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. I am too embarrassed to state the amount of $ I paid for this service. The poor technique and lack of professionalism are unconscionable. As a business owner, you need to be willing to hear from your customers and make amends accordingly.

I selected the service, chose the time, and left a note about the coloring desired. I pre paid my booking fee and waited for my appointment. No further information was exchange prior to my appointment date. I arrive at the salon five minutes before the time of the appointment (9 am) and the door was locked. Understandable as this was the first appointment of the day. I waited for five minutes and the door was still not opened and the lights were off. I waited a few minutes more and then called. I got another text directing me to the website. Then I received a message from someone apologizing for the wait. We were let in at about 10 minutes after our appointment time. When we walked in, the person staffing the salon was confused about us being there for an appointment. The literally asked "Do you have an appointment?" and for what type of service. Now wait. You have this online booking platform and yet your employees are not aware of the appointments being made? Looks like we are both confused. OK. I say "Yes, we have an appointment and it is for color and style". Here's the best part; she then informs me the colorist is not there. I made an appointment for color, you have this information beforehand, you allowed me to get this far in the process and no one thought to show up to provide the service? I was not happy. The staff person then calls the colorist and she is not prepared and asked for us to come back later. I'm sorry, this is such a haphazard way to run a business. I can't call and talk to someone in person and you can't seem to check your own booking system prior to appointment dates? The best part, since I have pre paid, they get away with my money and have not sent me a refund that I asked for on that day (about 3 weeks ago). Feel free to book here if you like losing patience and losing money.
