It had been vacant for up to a year and the landscaping was very overgrown - so much so that it was blocking the front walkway where my movers would need to unload our furniture. I met Marvin on Monday morning to survey the work needed. He was very knowledgable and pointed out many things - including the fact that we had poison ivy EVERYWHERE. With a busy 2 year old who runs around and puts everything in his month, this was going to be a problem. Marvin gave me an excellent price for the substantial amount of work needed. What's more, he came back the same afternoon to get started. He immediately knocked out the items that were in the way of my movers coming Tuesday. Between Monday afternoon and the rest of Tuesday, he and his crew did a fantastic job making our home presentable once again. With phase 1 complete, we've already started talking about phase 2 which we'll work on after the summer. He was extremely knowledgeable and experienced, able to name various plants and tress at a glance, and was happy to answer all of my questions through the process. He and his crew came out and cleared it after 2 days of work the following week, which I appreciated as it allowed us to talk about the progress and I how I wanted certain areas handled. The price was reasonable and the crew took great care to trim and keep healthy plants. Now that the space is cleared we can really appreciate the size of our yard and it feels like we suddenly have 60% more yard!
