I took my dog to Molly's Daycare in Washington, DC on Georgia Ave on 11/22/2025, and this was by far one of the most disturbing experiences I have ever had with a pet care facility. While watching the live webcam, I witnessed another dog pinning my dog down and aggressively humping him from behind. I was horrified. My hands were shaking as I scrambled to find the phone number to call immediately. When I reached the front desk, the young woman rushed to the back and had a handler remove the dog responsible (a black dog named Oreo). I have photos and videos of the entire incident. But what made my heart drop even further was that when I went back to the webcam, my dog had suddenly been moved completely out of view. At that point, I stopped what I was doing, left my shopping cart, and drove straight there to get my dog. And then came the part that truly shocked me: the manager, Aaron, flat-out refused to speak with me. He told the front desk staff not to hand him the phone or allow me to talk to him. Instead of addressing what happened, he hid behind his employees and still insisted I pay for the service--even though my dog had only been there about 2.5 to 3 hours, not even a full half day. His refusal to take responsibility or even acknowledge my concerns left me feeling dismissed, unheard, and completely disrespected. To make matters worse, my dog wasn't even properly checked in at the start. I had called earlier because I couldn't access the webcam, and the staff member kept calling me by the wrong name. She insisted she had "my dog Rex," even though I repeatedly told her that wasn't my name. I had to ask multiple times if my dog was even there because at that point I was genuinely concerned. Only then did she discover there were two dogs named Rex, and mine had been checked in under the other Rex who is a regular. After fixing the check-in error, I was finally able to access the webcam--only to witness the incident that followed. Between the mishandled check-in, the disturbing behavior caught on camera, the attempt to move my dog out of view afterward, and a manager who refused to speak to me at all, this entire experience was unacceptable, unprofessional, and honestly heartbreaking.

At District Dogs, he doesn't even turn back to look at me- he just runs right in, which reassures me in knowing he's in good hands. The incredible staff, who actually take the opportunity to know your dogs, alone are worthy of 5 stars. The reasonable prices and webcams simply seal the deal. Let's not even get started about the adorable report cards I get every night with his picture, his demeanor and his friends of the day. One day on the webcam I noticed that he was distressed, so I called them up and they took him for a walk, which helped him a lot for the rest of the day. I cannot recommend District Dogs enough. I am so glad I found them!

I picked up my dog from structured daycare at Parview location. The "manager" gave me my dog and…read moresaid nothing. I walked out and realized my dog was covered from head to toe in urine and excrement. I walked back in and asked if there was a problem and she was like oh yeah yeah, she messed her crate twice today but we wiped her off. I should have never been handed back my dog in this type of condition AND without any explanation. And how long was she in this state with no attention to her health and wellbeing? And apparently they accept no responsibility: "Unfortunately we do not have a grooming at this facility and really no way of cleaning her up other than just water. The dogs are crated throughout the day when we are rotating the classes of the different groups of pups. When we have a full house it is almost impossible to keep cleaning crates and transferring her to another." - Megan Clipfel-Johnson, Structured Daycare Manager This all sounds like a District Dogs problem, not my problem. With them knowingly operating one location in a flood zone that ultimately killed puppies during a flash flood last year to an employee at another location hitting a puppy that resulted in its death, you would think they would have a heightened level of care, but apparently not. Be cautious of using the Parkview location if you care about your pup's health and wellbeing.

Every booking, every pet, every time: more signatures and "agreements" than a mortgage closing. Somewhere there's a lawyer who's never met a dog and decided the real threat to this business is the guy who's paid them loyally for three years. You carefully fill out the entire grooming form online, pick every option -- then show up and they shove a paper copy across the counter to sign the exact same thing again. And after all that paperwork, they still claim they don't have the phone number they've had on file for three years and called me on before. Let's put this in perspective. I can order dinner to my door in two taps -- Reorder, Apple Pay, done. A stranger drives hot food across town on the strength of my thumbprint. But dropping off dogs these people have known for three years apparently requires a signing ceremony and a fresh liability waiver every single visit. In 2026, that's not caution. That's a business that's forgotten how to trust its own customers. And then there's the membership -- the crown jewel of contempt. They took a system that worked and actively torched it. Gone are the daycare credit packs: fair, flexible, buy-what-you-need, the way a business treats people it respects. In their place, a pricier monthly "membership" that auto-drafts your card whether your dog walks through the door or not, with no rollover for the days you paid for and never used. Read that again: you pay, they keep it, your dog gets nothing, and they call it a perk. It's not a membership -- it's a standing withdrawal from your bank account with a bow on it. It punishes the exact people who kept this place in business: the regulars whose lives don't run on a fixed weekly schedule. Some months my dogs come once, some months five times, because that's how actual life works -- and this program is built to make sure I lose either way. It doesn't serve pets. It doesn't serve owners. It serves a spreadsheet, and it treats every loyal customer as a recurring charge to be maximized rather than a person to be valued. It is, top to bottom, the most openly hostile "loyalty" scheme I've ever been asked to fund. When customers spend more time signing forms and fighting your billing than petting their dogs, you're not a pet resort -- you're a law firm with a kennel attached. Take your pets somewhere that still remembers what the word "customer" means.

Kore is an incredible trainer-- so patient, enthusiastic, and so knowledgeable. She really helped Maple come out of her shell and Maple grew to be totally OBSESSED with Kore, eager to learn from her and earn treats! The obedience commands Kore taught us and other puppy tips and tricks have been so useful and Kore has been an amazing support system throughout Maple's journey. Highly recommend all of her classes! We've also done a few private sessions with Avi who is also so amazing! When Maple was struggling with potty training when she first came home, Avi worked with us and helped come up with a plan to get Maple on track. We were feeling pretty overwhelmed those first few days, but Avi helped put us at ease about all the puppy stress. He's also worked with us on getting Maple comfortable with handling and grooming, and leash skills. He is so knowledgeable and such a kind person in general. He's answered countless of my questions via email and has been such an incredible support system along with Kore. Highly recommend working with Avi if you get the chance!

Coincidentally, it seems that when they raised prices, the quality of service went down. On my latest visit, the front desk staff acted like they didn't want to be there. The employee had a friend eating lunch at the bench up front. I came in for a walk-in nail grind, and they didn't have the staff to handle it. It was a very disappointing experience compared to how it used to be.

He isn't putting much weight on the leg yet and it still can be tender. PPC scheduled a google conference call with me ($5 to avoid no shows) to get details on what he needs during a groom. I spoke with Melissa and let her know my concerns about putting weight on and to stress that the groomer needs to be gentle with his leg. She assured me everything will go at my dog' pace and even let me check him in at the front door as stairs can be difficult still. I went ahead and booked the appointment, and am so happy I did. Drop off was very easy and convenient for me to drop off early morning and go back home to take meetings. I picked up my dog a few hours later. He was clean, smelled great and was so happy! I received his report card later that evening and was pleasantly surprised to see how detailed it was and that 4 wonderful people were involved with the grooming. Especially thankful for the time it took to sand his toes on his bum leg!! My dog had such a great time there he was worn out the rest of the day. I know he can't wait to go back! Thanks so much Patrick's pet care, Melissa, Jerniece, Mea and Andrew for the great experience! Burrito loved it there!! I can't say enough good things about our first experience at Patrick's Pet Care!
