Spoiled Pets indeed! This is by far the best pet service around, and we love going back to them every time we need someone to come check on our two cats while we're out of town. They're always punctual, communicative, friendly and incredibly helpful! Food schedules, cleaning, water, everything always taken care of. We always love getting photo updates of the cats too (who are ordinarily very shy) and they love the visits from their sitters! This last week during the holidays, Scott was able to accommodate a last minute visit addition to check on our cats to make sure they were out and about, giving me huge peace of mind (we'd hurried out the door and wanted to doubly make sure they hadn't gotten stuck in a closet!!). On top of that, our Litter Robot stopped working the DAY OF our departure, and while they scooped it manually the first couple days, the visitor on the last day, unprompted, FIXED it!! Such a huge weight off our shoulders not having to come home to a project, and so thoughtful of them. Huge shoutout to Scott and to Sergio for the fix! Tara and the YSP team are truly unbelievable. Tara walked my little one, Lucho for about two years before we moved out of state earlier this year. During that time I'd come home to the most hilarious written notes of how their walk went. My dog has a huge personality and she would capture his little antics and fun moments in these notes so perfectly to the point where I have every single note saved and want to turn them into a coffee table book one day. You can tell Tara and the team really value the time they spend with each dog and getting to know and celebrate their personalities. It gave me such peace of mind to know I was leaving my fur baby in the best of hands. This review is long overdue, and since I've recently moved from this neighborhood I no longer use their services anymore. However I just wanted to say how much I've appreciated Scott and Greer for the past 3 years and was really sad to say goodbye - from the moment my dog Lily and I met Greer at the meet & greet you could tell she was serious about her business, is super knowledgeable about dogs, and really cares about her clients. There were a couple times when I left Lily at daycare and she got in a scuffle with another dog, and Greer immediately called/emailed to let me know what happened. I thought that was super professional and responsible of her as a business owner to take upon herself to do. I didn't use the daycare services as much as the walking services, but I used their walking services regularly. Booking was easily done online. I truly looked forward to coming home everyday to the "Lily Times" note from the walker - Whenever the walker comes by they leave a cute little note detailing what happened on the walk - I enjoyed seeing which walker walked lily that day and depending on the walker you'd get something super hilarious and cute (à la Tara, Sophie) or concise (Dylan, a man of few words haha). I'd even see a note from Scott the co-owner once in a while, which Lily loved (and you could tell Scott loved her too!). To be honest I thought the daycare space was a little cramped for the amount of dogs so I can see why they chose to leave that location for the Greenpoint one, I imagine that one must be bigger and I think they have a yard? They still provide dog walking services in the area though, and I wholeheartedly recommend YSP if you're looking for a dog walker. They really love your dog as if he/she is their own! read more

I'm sad to report I'm very disappointed with my experience. We left our sweet Border Collie Mix with YSP for 7 days, and received only 2 updates. We've never left our dog with strangers before, so we were nervous going into it, but all the positive reviews were comforting. I was really hoping for more consistent updates, or even just one photo a day would have been nice. I'll start by saying that the Program Director was helpful and responsive to emails. With that being said, the in-person customer service was awful. When I came to pick up my dog, the woman working the counter didn't say a word to me. I said, "Hello, good morning" and she raised her eyebrows at me in response. I told her I was there for my dog, and she wordlessly went to get him. No ID check, didn't ask my name, nothing. She handed the leash over to me, and said nothing. This is unsettling to me because I could have been a complete stranger taking this dog. She didn't say a word about his stay or if he'd eaten yet that morning. I let her know I put a card on file, and she nodded. I said, "so that's it?" and she said, "yep." Not even a smile. According to the 2 report cards we received, he hadn't skipped any meals. This was unusual to me because our dog usually won't eat his food for 1-2 days if we leave. Upon picking him up, over half of his food supply I'd packed for him was still in his bag. We carefully measured out the exact amount he'd need for his stay, so to find so much food left was surprising. It was no longer sealed in the Ziplocs I'd brought, but instead was just rolling around in the bottom of his bag like it had been thrown in haphazardly. His harness had also been put on incorrectly. I hate writing bad reviews and always try to give the benefit of the doubt, but my overall impression was that the staff was unhappy to be there, and I was constantly wondering how my dog was doing. I know the owners are taking some time off, maybe things operate more smoothly when they're there and we came at a time when they were under-staffed. Unfortunately, I cannot say our experience was a positive one. read more

Great doggy daycare spot! Our pup Rosie is a social butterfly and has a blast at YSP. She literally never runs out of energy but comes home from daycare exhausted so it's a win win! Took the dog here for a day while I was working at the Brooklyn Expo Center. The day rate was great. I could tell that everyone there really cares about animals. They even indulge, without blinking, profoundly stupid questions like "did she behave/ how did she play/ did she make friends?" All dumb questions to ask about a dog, but they answer like you are talking about family, because you are. Very happy with paperless registration and billing. Puppy Love!!! From the start, Scott took extra time and care in helping us find the right person to walk our two sweet rescue's. Up until we found the right fit, he would bring his dog whispering skills personally to take them for walks. When we finally found the right person to take them on their daily walks, they simply added her to our pack. I love YSP! I do freelance work so my schedule is crazy. Sometimes I'm off for a couple of months, and other times I need multiple walks a day. They're always super accommodating with my fluctuating schedule and have always found a way to come through for me with a last minute requests. I also have a dog camera and can't help but to watch when the walkers come in - they're always so sweet and gentle with my little guy, which is much appreciated because he has some anxiety issues. If we get within a few blocks of the place, he starts dragging me there (don't tell our trainer that I said that). The staff are professional and friendly. Cat Sitting Client -- I've been using Your Spoiled Pets for about 18 months and they're great. I have one cat who is very shy and YSP has been very sensitive about keeping her company and coaxing her out when they can. They always make sure the temperature is ok (one time my heat was turned on while I was gone and it was sweltering so they made sure to lower the temp!) and give her any extras she might need - a few treats, some extra water, etc. My favorite thing is that they always send an email update after they've checked in and include a picture when they can. There is no other place that our dog would rather be than YSP. Our little guy starts going crazy when we're a block away because he knows he's about to see his favorite humans (outside of his mom and dad). Can't recommend YSP boarding enough!! I have a pup with separation anxiety, and Scott and Greer really made him (and me!) feel at ease during his first boarding stay. I was really pleased that they do a temperament pre-screen and spent some 1-1 time with him beforehand to get him acquainted.
