My husband had work done here in 2022. They did a root canal and 2 crowns. The experience was awful for him. First it took all day. He kept telling them he could still feel them working. He wasn't numbed all the way. They ignored him and kept working. He was in so much pain. Then after the root canal they did molds for the crowns. They were very rough. Absolutely no compassion. They use a secondary source for the crowns so it takes awhile for them to arrive. We waited a month before I finally called to ask about them. They couldn't find them in the system and weren't able to tell us when they would be ready. They told us they would have to investigate and get back to us. We waited a few days before calling them back. By some miracle they were found and waiting for him. It took another couple of weeks for an appointment. All in all the experience was not worth the time or money. He has continued to have issues with one of the teeth they put a crown on. A few days ago the pain became unbearable so we made him an appointment with a different dentist. Now the tooth with only a crown needed a root canal. During X-rays and exams they discovered that the crown on the original tooth with the root canal wasn't done properly. He will eventually have to have the crown redone. Since his appointment we've heard other negative stories about this office. We definitely would not recommend. read more

The most unprofessional staff. They whisper about you as soon as they leave the room. I lost my retainer and it took 3 weeks to just get an appointment. When I show up they tell me my teeth shifted. WELL DUH! If you consider orthodontics please know that you will have a minimum wait of 6 weeks before you can schedule your next appointments. I recently moved to Temple and needed to see a dental clinic that has a dentist and an orthodontists since I had ortho tx in 2007. After searching online, I came across Temple Total Dental & Orthodontic. My first impression was every staff were friendly. The dentist was really nice, professional and attention to detail. Dental assistants were kind with good customer service. I really had a great experience with Mimi the dental assistant...she explained each process, very thorough, gentle and let me be involved in my plan of care by choosing which crown I like. They had a student dental assistant and he did a good job as well and will be trained well by a wonderful team. The dental hygienist was really cool and gentle during my treatment. Overall, I had a great experience and I'm pleased with the decision I made. read more

What can I say about Temple Total Dental & Orthodontics? I have a terrible fear of going to the dentist. Because if this fear, I haven't been to the dentist in 2 years! The staff didn't judge me when I divulged that to them. All staff were extremely professional and friendly. Amy kept me informed of everything that would happen before being done. Dr. Tucker is excellent and he is very personable and professional. What's more--- Dr Tucker is extremely good looking. He's cuter than Dr Travis Stork. This practice is failing to follow Texas State Board of Dental Examiners minimum protocols for COVID19. These protocols are state law. They include taking temperatures of patients entering the facility, signage about social distancing, PPE and separation of patients. I posted similar review two days ago. Somehow they erased it. BEWARE, RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION! After breaking a tooth and concerned that I had an infection and being able to get in with my normal dentist, I was able to get a walk in appointment with the clinic. My 2 hours appointment ended with being told that I in fact had an infection at the gum line, she. I asked the first gentleman about antibiotics he explained that's for the dentist to discuss. The second gentleman came in to schedule my extraction, after explaining I would need to check my work schedule he proceeded to talk me out. I asked twice more before leaving about antibiotics and both times told " no sometimes these things just need removing not medication". No more than 2 hours of getting home I started to feel like my face was swelling. By 10pm the side with the infection was so swollen that I looked like a squirrel I'm holding nuts in it's cheek. The next morning I went back to the office right as they opened. Explained to the same gentleman Eric at the front desk and removed and replaced my face mask for him to see the swelling. I requested for the doctor to send in an antibiotic now due to the obvious change as well as my paperwork that no one gave me from the day before. I was offered to see the other doctor that was in the office since the one I saw ( Dr. Shea Santos) was working out of a different office, but I explained I didn't have the time to wait another 2 hours to be seen. Then I asked for a number to file a grievance and Eric was confused by my question! A complaint sir, was my response, which he answers with " we don't have one, but I can send the office manager an email for you". After he called the office manager I was told that Eric would reach out to Dr Santos to see if she was willing to write a prescription and also request that the office manager call me. Assuming that nothing would get done after a few hours of waiting I went to another clinic to be seen and was able to get the antibiotic that I needed. I received a call from Eric after 2pm stating that the doctor agreed to send the prescription. I called back right before the office closed to ask when I should be getting a call from the office manager. I was given the typical she is busy and asked if the grievance was still needed. Absolutely! Eric then tried to "remind me" that I was a walk in patient. My response was I appreciate that BUT nothing was done for my infection until I came in the next day. And that took until late in the afternoon.I have also filed a grievance with my insurance in reference to their claim. It blows my mind that at no point anyone apologized for not being treated appropriately! We will see if I ever get that call from the busy office manager! read more

Worst customer service EVER!!! Had an appointment yesterday to fix a broken crown. I took half the day off for a 3:30 appointment. The receptionist called at 2:42 to reschedule. Since I already took the day off I told her I could not. She told me to come in at 4pm. Arrived at the office and she was on the phone. They called me back at 4:30, took an XRay. Dentist said looked ok and informed me that he didn't have time to fix (they close at 5) and said I had to come back. I will NEVER go back. read more

Do NOT go to this dental practice. Worst dental experience of my life. I called to schedule a cleaning and was told I was on the books. When I arrived, I waited 45 minutes to then be taken back and have the most extensive xrays and photographs ever taken of my mouth. I then met with the dental hygienist who acted like a desperate new member of a MLM scheme. She tried to sell me anything and everything she could... cosmetic dentistry, a retainer "fit check" (I didn't have my braces done here)... and so on. Then the dentist came in and told me I needed 2 crowns and many fillings. This seemed odd as I had no pain in my mouth. They didn't have time to clean my teeth ... even though I had set this appointment to be a cleaning. So over 2 hours later, all I had were excessive photos. I have insurance and they told me everything was covered. I knew I would never go back and so I requested my xrays. I requested in person (to Eric), by phone, and by email. They never sent them. I found a different dentist and they didn't charge me to take new xrays and covered the cost for me since I was unable to get my images from this practice. And SURPRISE! with the new images, I didn't need a million fillings or any crowns. I had a chipped old filling that needed repair and I happily gave this other practice my business. Now... several months after initially going to Temple Total Dental, I received a text to a website saying I owe $212. Why you may ask? Your guess is as good as mine. I have dental insurance that covers the full cost of xrays and considering they didn't even clean my teeth, I don't know what they possibly think they can charge me for. An incompetent dentist telling me to get work done? All the phone calls trying to request my xrays? So now I have to deal with this incompetent practice yet again this week. It's almost worth paying to never have to deal with them again. They are money hungry and struggling and it shows. I truly recommend finding a competent practice in town to go to for your dental needs. read more
