The tooth had been hurting off and on for a few weeks, but it absolutely exploded in pain over the 24 hours before I got in. The prior two epsidodes were not nearly so bad or progressive, and the pain of those was essentially gone when the anesthetic wore off, so I was surprised he gave me a narcotic pain prescription - until the anesthetic wore off. Then I realized just how inflammed that area had been, and while I hate medicine, I took the pills for the next 24 hours by which time the pain was almost resolved.

Ruth took excellent care during and after surgery explaining everything that would happen pre and post operatively. Barb coordinated my office visit and explained everything step by step. If you go to an area dentist you need to tell them to send your referral for specialized care with Dr Bickel and Dr Ford. The dr we first saw told us we would get an initial set of dentures and then a permanent set after all the healing was done. That dr is no longer there, and the dr that is there, has said he is not going to honor what the first dr said. So we are struck with the initial set that does not fit correctly and now have to pay another dentist to have another set of dentures done. I had some issues getting my old records sent here from my prior dentist but that didn't deter this staff. They have been professionals at every turn. Very kind and understanding. Am going in. Is for cleaning and will update on hygienist. I'm sure she will be just as great as every one else here has been. Dr Sweet is kind, patient and conservative. The office staff is courteous and prompt. This is a two- appointment review as I have subsequently come in for my cleaning after the initial exam. Judy is a very gentle and thorough hygienist. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours via a referral from my primary dentist. The office space is clean and well decorated. Dr. Thayer explained the procedure - what was going to happen, level of pain, follow-up (if needed), and how long it should take. They try to make you as comfortable as possible, and provide TV with headphones to help with distractions from the sound of the dental instruments. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a trip planned that would have been a disaster if I had to cancel and the staff made it happen in 2 days. I was seen and the procedure was explained by Dr Thayer. During the procedure he checked in and let me know what was going on as well. Dr Thayer called me later on in the evening on my cell phone to check on how I was feeling. He asked my pain level and told me to follow up with him on his cell phone if I wasn't better in a couple of days. Now I have seen the same dentist for over 20 years and never received a call from them after any procedure to check on my wellbeing. I am overly impressed and I will always recommend this Dr. we always remember the negative experiences but we don't always highlight the positive. Wonderful Staffs & Service, same day denture!!!…read more The Salado Creek Dental is wonderful, very friendly staffs & dentists. Facility & equipment is top top-notch. The best is the same day denture. I am travelling on this Thursday and no time to wait for my new denture. It is lucky that Salado Creek Dental can do the same day denture within couple hours. The same day denture is a wonderful fit and I believe it will last for long too. I can enjoy my trip now!!!

My husband had work done here in 2022. They did a root canal and 2 crowns. The experience was awful…read morefor him. First it took all day. He kept telling them he could still feel them working. He wasn't numbed all the way. They ignored him and kept working. He was in so much pain. Then after the root canal they did molds for the crowns. They were very rough. Absolutely no compassion. They use a secondary source for the crowns so it takes awhile for them to arrive. We waited a month before I finally called to ask about them. They couldn't find them in the system and weren't able to tell us when they would be ready. They told us they would have to investigate and get back to us. We waited a few days before calling them back. By some miracle they were found and waiting for him. It took another couple of weeks for an appointment. All in all the experience was not worth the time or money. He has continued to have issues with one of the teeth they put a crown on. A few days ago the pain became unbearable so we made him an appointment with a different dentist. Now the tooth with only a crown needed a root canal. During X-rays and exams they discovered that the crown on the original tooth with the root canal wasn't done properly. He will eventually have to have the crown redone. Since his appointment we've heard other negative stories about this office. We definitely would not recommend.
