Okay, so I just had to share about my latest trip to Verizon - it was seriously great, all thanks to Mikeljan and the super helpful manager, Sergio. Honestly, from the second I walked in, Mikeljan was just on it. He totally nailed everything you'd want in a sales guy: he was helpful, knew his stuff inside and out, was totally straight with me, and super professional. Mikeljan was awesome at walking me through all my options. He didn't just rattle off tech jargon; he actually explained everything so it made sense. And what really impressed me? He was completely transparent. No hidden fees or surprises - he laid out all the prices, plan details, and any little catches upfront. That kind of honesty? It's gold. Beyond just knowing his stuff, Mikeljan was just a pro. He was polite, paid attention, and genuinely seemed to care about getting me the best deal. It wasn't just some quick sale; it felt like he was really trying to help me out, and that's what I call excellent customer service. And big props to Sergio, the manager, too! He was also super helpful, and you could tell he really contributed to the whole vibe of the store. I went in asking for a screen protector and asked general advice on if I could salvage mine because there was a bubble forming. The associate took my phone and then proceeded to crack my screen protector and it's broken officially now. after that, the supervisor ( not sure because they had no name tag and looked terrible), walks up and offers to give me a new screen protector.... if i upgrade my phone... which i had no intention of doing because i was in there just for the screen protector. what a joke... useless... break my stuff then tells me i can help if you if pay through the nose for something i do not need read more

If you're going to pay any bill, make sure to bring the exact amount if you're paying in cash. They take advantage of you because they claim they don't have change, then lie and tell you that your change will be credited to your account and applied to the next bill, but that's not true -- that money ends up getting lost. read more

Brand new iPhone 5 arrived in the mail, Yay! I contacted my new service, Verizon, who counseled me to take the phone over to a Retail storefront for assistance with porting over from AT&T. I asked the salesperson to assist in moving info from my old iPhone over to the new and he suggested I do it myself through iTunes. Now, I am standing in the store at 9:30am on a Wednesday. I am first in line for assistance. The salesperson deftly helps a few others that came in after me, all the while working with me by calling directly to Verizon Wireless regarding my porting concern. I aske again to have my old iPhone info moved over to my new phone. Once more, I was directed to do it myself. Another two customers arrived, who were helped by the same sales person who still had my phone in hand, while I perused the shelves for a new iPhone cover. Deciding against the options in stock, I make a third request of the same, again refused, this time being told that it was easy. I am already in the store. Had the salesperson done what I had asked, it would have been completed already given the amount of time that transpired for him to assist me while helping everyone else. I give kudos to his multitasking but zero for his customer service. I am a customer requesting a service that can be provided - it's easy, right?- the answer should not be NO, GO DO IT YOURSELF. read more

This place is horrible! Minus zero stars! The salespeople are idiots and only helpful if you are buying top of the line. Avoid Stephanie Amaya! She sits on the right. I got a what I thought was a refurbished new iPhone. It was broken, had to put it on speaker phone to talk, many problems. When I went to return w attached highlighted contract, Stephanie, whoops, forgot to tell me that "used" phones, which is what I actually got, were not returnable even with the contract. Would have sued them but I got enough money back from Apple to get a new one. Nobody cared at all when I kept asking where was anything that said "no money back if used. " Geez the cashiers at the 99-cent store are trained to tell you underwear isn't returnable. Thanks Stephanie for shrugging your shoulders and not giving a hoot. I went in with my new phone and asked John(one of the service person) to help me to transfer the content. He told me I can do it myself, but I told him im not tech savvy and asked to help as a favor. Fortunately there was no other customer, so he helped me out. Not sure those services are included in his job description or not, but I think it's good idea not to assume and have an attitude they suppose to do those time consuming transferring which we can do ourselves at home easily. read more

Horrible retail store! Theres this girl that works there with a bad attitude for no reason cursing under her breath. They promised me to get a family plan with no upfront fee if i switch from t mobile to verizon so i did them after the credit check and last minute they were saying im good to go all i got to do is pay the fee. ??? I told them this is fraud snd they didn't care at all. I had a conversation with the girl and she said she left the EMT because she hate dealing with sick people and she got this job and she told me she hates her job, hates the manager, and she never break drawl. Just an awful experience. The place opens at 10 on Saturdays, and I got there around 11. The sales guy shuffled out the back room sipping orange soda the whole time I dealt with him. Told him I needed a new phone ASAP for work purposes. The guy went out of his way to not sell me anything - "we're a retail store. We don't sell phones." Huh? I was ready to spend $1000 to just get a phone so I could move on and get to work. No dice. The guy just didn't want to work. I left angry - he was useless. When I got to my car, I saw him leave the store and walk down Riverdale Ave as if he was sneaking out for the day or taking an early lunch. Terrible. Cannot recommend this place at all. read more

Bought 4 phones and one tablet there, at 5909 Riverdale Avenue, over the years. Just brought in my BB Z10, for a data transfer to an iPhone. Called last week and was told "no problem, just bring it in." Just came back. Was told by rep that "I don't know how to do it. It's very hard." I asked if one of her associates could help. FYI, they were not assisting other customers. One said, "it's very complicated," agreeing with her. So, basically, there they were, three of them, not doing much of anything, and not able to help me with a data transfer. Translation: they could not be bothered. I thought my North Riverdale neighbors would want to know about this. These people are useless. read more

One star because you have to give it one to get started, but this store deserves a NO stars. Let me begin that 99% of the time when you walk in there the 1 or 2 employees they have assisting customers do not look up to see other customers as you walk in. They just assume you know you have to wait do why bother I guess. That is a huge NO NO. That alone sets the mood for the wait you have to endure. In the least they should look up acknowledge the customers walking in and let them know.. Begin with hello thank you for coming into our store , we are a bit busy but we will get to you as soon as we can. "Do not shop here. Bait and switch. They offer one deal and then forget about it." That was my original review. After I posted it the manager of the store reached out to me to discuss my complaint. He was courteous and obviously concerned. He listened and then made sure my issue was resolved completely to my satisfaction. He explained what happened and it made sense, it was more a communications issue than an intent to deceive.This is my local store and until this episode I had always walked out satisfied; I am very pleased that this was rectified and I have ever intention of continuing to shop here. read more

I signed up with Verizon because they were offering promotional incentives for new customers. I was promised a $150 Visa card for moving my cell phone from AT&T to Verizon and I never received the card. When I received my first cable bill it was way over the amount that was quoted to me. I went to the store and spoke with the manager Sergio, who then told me that a mistake was made when entering my order. He said I would receive a credit of $140 dollars in two credit installments of $70 dollars each. These credits were to be applied to my bill for the following two months. Well to date I have only received one credit of $70. I have spent the better part of the past year calling the manager Sergio, who was often not at the store. I left numerous messages, never received a call back. The few times I did catch him at the store, he would tell me that he would follow up. That I should see the credit in a couple of weeks and if not to reach out to him. I have not received the second credit of $70. When I recently caught up with him at the store, he told me that a year has passed and it seems that they cannot do anything about crediting me the $70 dollars. I was pissed off. I should have expressed my anger toward him, instead I decided to leave Verizon and sign up with another cable service provider. This store sucks! They have had a huge staff turn over during the past year. I plan on writing the regional manager about this. I may not get my money back but they will know that this store is being poorly managed, although I am not sure they care. I am fed up with Verizon and their poor customer service. Marshall was very helpful. Had a problem setting up my phone and he got it fixed before the store closed so I wouldn't have to take another trip back to the store. I've been to a number of Verizon stores in New York and New Jersey and this is the best one I have been to. read more
