My initial checkup left a lot to be desired in terms of professionalism, expedience, and the general quality of care. The entire establishment seems to be run like it's still 1982. To top that off, I recently received a notice that my account was being sent to collections despite having no contact with them for nearly a calendar year. I tried calling them immediately, but apparently they close at 1:00 PM on Friday. I'm assuming the bill was likely lost in the mail, but that's no excuse as Dr. Cote and staff made absolutely no effort to contact me via the other more reliable methods they recorded (phone, email, text, etc.) to inform me that I had an outstanding balance. Now I'm dealing with a collections agency and frivolous, needless damage done to my credit report. I cannot recommend this establishment in any way, shape, form, or fashion and would advise you to find somewhere else more reputable and professional if you're seeking a PCP.

I then asked nicely if she could describe their product and what made it special to justify the cost. I told her I wanted to compare it with a less expensive mouth guard product I had purchased from another dentist. While she was describing their product she started to speak in a smart aleck tone. I told her that she was not be very professional speaking like that. Her response was telling me that I should just buy the mouth guard from the other dentist and then hung up.

One review of one star here is not a basis whereby anyone makes a decision. Grace Dental has a five star average with over 600 reviews over on Google. That's the real story, not a review that frankly, I find suspect in its description. There has to be some other thing going on there. (She even says she had been going to Dr. Thomas for years.) The receptionist replied we don't have room for Medicare united health after asking if I had united though my employer. As she tried to word it had I had anything other than Medicare insurance I would get an appointment. So I said so its not the insurance company, you just a problem with people in Medicare. After the total polite conversation it was a PREJUDICE OF OLDER PEOPLE who has worked all there lives to be turned away for not being able-bodied anymore. Today, as a self pay patient, the doctor and his staff once again treated me with the utmost respect, were willing to consider my financial situation (instead of pushing me into something), and worked with me to get a treatment plan that suited me, my finances, and the future of my teeth. I've had extractions, cleanings, and root canals at Dr Moore's office, and everyone there is so kind and knowledgeable, I just won't go anywhere else. I haven't needed it, but they do provide sedation dentistry for folks who have a dental fear. I would recommend them to anyone. His office is on Roan right next to Boones Creek Pharmacy (another great local business), he's a Tennessee native, and a veteran. Make an appointment.

This is a hard mix to find, especially in the medical profession. I was particularly impressed with my parents' last visit. This practice has taken all of the necessary steps to protect their patients against COVID-19. For example, we waited in the car until it was time for my parents' appointment. Staff came wearing masks to the car and escorted my parents inside and returned my parents at the end of the appointment. Also, staff took the time to explain the results of their exam to me and invited me to use their restroom or bring coffee back to our car while I waited. This was a very nice touch. My parents and Johnson City are very fortunate to have Dr. Moore's practice.

Went to hospital,they couldn't help , no dentists in Tazewell or anywhere near would see me or help me because I wasn't an established patient . My daughter n law made the last call we were going to make to ask for help and thank God it was Dr Moore and Laningham's office! Dr Laningham didn't care if I was an established patient , he did care that I was in pain and needed help. Him and his assistant gave up part of their Saturday to come in and remove my tooth so I wouldn't have to be in pain the rest of the weekend , and so I could finally eat or drink something! He also charged me less than we paid for my husband to have a tooth removed during regular business hours with a scheduled appointment! If I need any dental done while I'm still around the area , I will drive the hour to go there. Nice to know there are doctors out that that still care and have compassion and sympathy for someone in pain. Him and his assistant was very nice and professional .
