I saw the sign on the door telling their customers to call and let them know you've arrived, then wait in the car for them to allow you to enter. (We do something similar at my job.) I arrived early, by the way. Well, I did as instructed and called. No answer. I waited a few minutes and tried again. No answer. Then I tried another time as it was now getting close to my appointment time. No answer. I saw other people just walking in. I guess that sign was a suggestion? So I walked in and let the receptionist know that I had followed protocol and no one responded to me. She looked overwhelmed and didn't seem to have a grip on the her skills. (I also check in people at a front desk and it requires multitasking... sometimes I feel like an octopus handling several things at once.) Well, this poor woman was more like a sloth, sad to say. I waited another 15 minutes in the waiting room, now 45 minutes before I was called back. It was my first time here, and I didn't have a good first impression. Jessica took care of my procedure and that went fine. She walked me out and the receptionist who was supposed to take my payment was flustered and couldn't manage it so Jessica check me out and apologized. The stars are for the cleanliness, Jessica, and the price point. But if I were to review the overall efficiency of my experience, I'd give them one star. I found another office for my follow up.

I was put on the wrong machine (i.e. the machine for people with darker skin) for my last session and I noticed we were in a different room. The laser hurt much more and I noticed the lighter red spots (last few images) right after and was afraid I was burned. I asked the estheticians if I was burned and she said no, it's normal, and it'll go away. I knew this was abnormal because it hadn't happened the sessions before. When I left I started freaking out as I was walking to my car, so I went back in, crying, and asked AGAIN if I was burned because the spots look suspicious. The esthetician, annoyed, said no. Fast forward, I was absolutely burned, BADLY. The top few photos show what it looked like a week later, and my burns, on both legs and clearly noticeable when I walked outside, made me feel like I had truly been abused here and then gaslit. I couldn't even look at it myself. These marks stayed for YEARS as I was entering college and I became extremely insecure. I saw dermatologists and many said even after it peels it may never go away. My dermatologists told me I wouldn't be able to have my legs in the sun for years. That's the price I took for Sona's mistake, on top of lots of $$ for seeing the dermatologist and creams/topicals. Of course frustrated I met with the manager at Sona and showed her what had happened. After gaslighting me saying that nothing went wrong on their part, she offered me a portion of my money back as long as I did not write a review. But when I signed the document and went back, I was completely ghosted. Each time I went in and asked to speak with the manager, I was ushered out and told she would 'call me back', but she never did. It's been 5 years and I know they know what they did and who I am, and of course they keep telling me that she will one day call me to compensate for this horrendous mistake. And it still has never happened. So here I am writing a review. I repeat, under no circumstances, DO NOT COME HERE. AT ANY COST. This is NOT a trustworthy place. You will be abused and then ghosted.
