I came for procedures. after Dr Jo Bohannon-Grant injected my mouth my heart raced and I felt faint. She impatiently wanted to get the procedure done but I had to lay down. She was impatient, unkind, accusing me of taking up 4 patient slots. I was faint and she rudely said: "You took up my whole morning!" She made her nurse tell me: "you're not welcome at this office anymore. Don't come back" Dr Jo Bohannon-Grant has terrible bedside manner. I'd give ZERO stars if I could. read more

I really can't say enough nice things about Dr. Adams and her staff. I've battled a really complex skin condition since I was a teen and she's the first dermatologist I've seen in years that really takes the time to help address any concerns I have and come up with a treatment plan. Her front desk staff always welcomes you with a smile, and her nurses are compassionate and helpful. It's the reason I commute there all the way from Williamsburg and will continue to do so. If you're in the area or surrounding area, I would recommend giving Dr. Adams a shot. You won't be sorry. read more

I have used Midlothian dermatology for laser hair removal , with Lisa, and can't be happier... recently I have decided I wanted lip injection to make my lips slightly bigger but still keep natural look.... so I Scheduled consultation with Dr. Bohannon... after seeing me she advised/really asked me not to do it, coz it wouldn't look natural and my lips are pretty as they are....I was pleasantly surprised, most places won't tell you not to do stuff , because, we all know why :))) can't appreciate more her honesty read more

I have had nothing but pleasant experiences here. From Stacey, who has helped me get my adult acne in line and has even helped me with the scarring, to the in-house esthetician, who performed my chemical peels, it's been great. Waste of money- Botox did not last 2 1/2 months. Went back for a follow up and she offered nothing.

I went it for fillers.Dr Grant was sweet at first meeting. the nurse injected my mouth with novocain. I immediately felt faint. Long story short, Dr Grant was impatient with me. She said to me: "You've taken 4 of my appointments!" As a doctor it is important to care for your patient regardless of their condition. The doctor needs to emanate patience and sincere care for their patients, regardless. Dr Bohanen-Grant needs to treat her patients the way she wants to be treated. Put a review on Facebook, took it down trying to be the bigger person however I fee it's important to say something even if Dr. Bohanan and her employees have an issue with it. I went to this practice as a self pay patient. When the Dr. Bohanan asked why I was self pay and found out it was because I used Medicaid insurance she said " oohhh I wish I didn't hear that, I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that." Remind you I'm self pay for this appointment. She proceeded to look me over including under my shirt and Doen the back of my pants with zero warning. I work in a gynecologist office so I just let it go even though I found it a bit odd. I went in because I have a rash that is spreading like crazy. It burns and itches like crazy. I can't cry because my tears burn what's on my face, can't sweat at all because that irritates the rash and burns. If I shower it hurts, if I put on moisturizer it hurts, I can't even have sex with my spouse because it hurts! I had already seen an allergist to rule out any kind of allergy that I was unaware of. When she was looking me over about my issue and I pointed out that the rash was even attacking my face (which looked like acne at the time) I had said something along the lines of " this acne didn't show up til this rash." She replied " no I don't think that's how it happened." She then completely looked over it. Now I work in a doc office and I know a problem appointment is desperate from an annual check up so I understood how an acne appointment was different and had to be scheduled separately than an issue appointment. However I was not the to big to two for one her, my fave was a legit concern that is associated with whatever this rash is. The doctor gave me know real solutions but to do a patch test, which they could do in that office but the doctor kept mentioning that test would be hundreds of dollars. She stated I should find a doctor that takes my insurance because the test that would help me is again hundreds of dollars. When she kept mentioning the test price I said it was fine and that I was just wanting to do anything to get some answers she still persisted that I find another doctor because it would be a very large bill. I was self pay already! It's as if the minute she found out I had Medicaid she checked out and didn't want to treat me. She could have performed the test I needed and I could have gotten answers already but she didn't. There is only one dermatology office locally that takes Medicaid and they are looking at June for their next opening. I went back to my allergists and they don't perform the test Dr. Bohanan said I needed to get. My rash has now taken over even more of my skin and nothing is helping to relieve the pain or the itching. The " acne" she wouldn't even look at is actually hives and it's expanded as well. My self esteem has been shot to the ground and I am constantly miserable. Dr. bohanan could have helped me but because she couldn't get as much money out of me by self pay as she could from an insurance company she refused to help me. read more

WOW ....... what a fantastic experience I had this morning. I've been to other dermo offices but this was my first visit to Dr. Bohannon-Grant's office. I was greeted at the front desk with a lotta smiles & good mornings, and yes, I was back in the examining room before my 9:00 appt. Her assistant Val, 23 years in the dermo business, was so nice & personable and explained the whole pre & post op process. Dr. Bohannon-Grant walked in with such a positive disposition and her bedside manner is second to none. She explained exactly what she was doing during the ten minute surgery. In no time, the surgery was over. Ahhh, I almost forgot to tell you, Dr Bohannon-Grant steps outta the room for a second and gets me a fresh Krispy Kreme donut ..... she said it would raise my blood sugar just in case I got a lil queezie after my minor surgery. THIS PROVIDER REFUSES TO TREAT ACTIVE DUTY AND RETIRED MILITARY. I am retired military and have 3 sons on active duty. Our family of 5 have been patients of Midlothian Dermatology for approximately 15 years. When I went on Tricare this year, I was told by the Office Manager that I and my 3 sons would no longer be seen because Dr. Grant refuses to accept Tricare. We love Stacy the P.A. and she is great, and the Office Manager was very kind and professional. But when I asked to speak with Dr. Grant about this, she refused to even talk with me. So after 15 years as her patients, she has discarded our treatment and refuses to even discuss it -- it's one of the most disrespectful things I've ever experienced as a serviceman, and it's disrespectful, degrading, and ungrateful to all who have served or serve in uniform! In all our years seeing and knowing dozens of health care providers, we've never known of another ONE who refused to treat those who serve in uniform. I recommend NOT using this provider. read more

OMG!!! Worst decision of my life! This is the last time I will ever pay to see a doctor for not being seen by a doctor. I read a similar review on Stacey ramero that made me feel I was being subjected to the visit all over again. After entering the room with an associate I recall named shoshie, they both acted as if they were in fear. I also was referred by a friend who appeared to have similar blemishes on his face. After telling Stacey I wanted the treatment he received because I first hand witnessed his before and after effects, she assured me, without any type of testing that I did not have what he had. She smirked while stating "I have something that will kill it". She did not give the name of the medication or discuss why she selected it. She did not discuss its method of performance. She did not discuss the drastic side effects, blurry vision, deadening of cells, or erectile dysfunction to the point of impotent then loss of interest in sex. She did not give any alternative solutions for such a minor problem verses life changing detrimental side effects. I regret the day I made this visit. I have spent my life monitoring my health through advice from the medical profession. Never again will I ever trust anyone again with my body. I will research for myself whatever a doctor prescribes or suggest before committing to it myself. Had I simply researched this medication there is no way I would have risked my vision and my manhood to correct uneven skin tone. I am also convinced and will always believe the actions of Stacey Ramero were intentional and malicious. Her strange behavior being standoffish and not taking any professional steps to treat me and that statement "I have something that will kill it" are forever etched in my mind.
