I cannot believe the unprofessional approach taken before and after my surgery.
Dr. Felice was 1 of 3 doctors I went to for a consult on lipo and a bbl. He was also the cheapest, which should have been an indicator right there.
The first of the 3 doctors I saw felt I would need some additional work, because I might encounter loose skin after lipo. Dr. Felice didn't feel this would be an issue, even after mentioning this.
I also got blethroplasty in the same surgery. I wanted to get rid of my hooded eyes altogether and I was very clear about how I wanted them to be.
I get my surgery and I have loose skin on my stomach area that isn't shrinking more than 6 months post-op (I was not big prior, so it is upsetting my stomach is ruined, because of neglect, which I will get to how it was neglectful in a moment).
It wasn't until after surgery they explain to me that I could have had laser assisted lipo, which would help shrink the skin, had I had this surgery done in the office instead of the hospital (which would have been cheaper as well). So it was an option that was NEVER presented to me, even after bringing up my concern pre-op of another Doctor saying my skin felt loose and like I might have this issue.
So they want me to pay thousands more to get something they should have offered from the beginning. (Going through other reviews I see many patients were offered the option of hospital or in office, so it makes no sense)
It also was not until after surgery, when my eyes were nothing what I expected, that they tell me my bone structure wouldn't allow for the results I was looking for.
I understand this now because NOW it was discussed with me, but had it been explained prior, I would have opted out of having this surgery. And, again, I was very clear on the results I was looking for and my bone structure hasn't changed, obviously, so they knew before taking my money I wasn't going to get the results I asked for.
This was my first surgery ever and it was a horrible botched experience. They knew it was my first surgery, so they should have really taken to time to explain what to expect and what was and was not possible.
I have a lump/knot in my eye lid, a saggy stomach at 33 years old, when I was already skinny before lipo, and my eyes look the same, with slightly less of a hooded lid, but still very hooded. Not a difference I was willing to spend thousands on.
The fat transfer in my bbl and (face) cheeks pretty much all dissipated by the 6 month point. Probably because no one told me I shouldn't have gotten my face a butt done at the same time, because you cannot lay on your stomach or back after surgery for weeks after this, because the fat will not stay if you put pressure on it.
I tried asking for a sit down with Dr. Felice, so we could negotiate something to make everyone at least semi-happy and try to correct some of these issues and they stood by saying they felt they did everything they could have. Dr. Felice refused to call me or sit down with me to talk. Absolutely... unprofessional.
If you're thinking of surgery... I suggest you go somewhere else. Don't see him because he is cheaper. Not to mention they won't care if you're unhappy with your results or if you're botched.
I paid well over 10 grand WELL over... and ended up terrible results. When I spoke to the woman, Nancy, who sets up all of these surgeries, she was also talking to me as if I already had this laser assisted lipo done and even she seemed confused as to why it wasn't done in the initial surgery or at least offered.
I would have absolutely opted to have surgery done in the office had I known this would be done in addition AND it would have been much cheaper. And I would have opted out of blethroplasty had I known they couldn't give me the results I had asked for.
