I decided to check it out today with all 3 of my kids and I'm very glad i did. Checking in was easy and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There are several different stations and play areas set up in a large space but luckily you can see pretty much everything around you if your kids decide to head in different directions like mine did lol they really enjoyed the large bounce house, bubble machine, chalk area, swings, and reading area. There is also a climbing wall and computer area. They have a hair salon on site which is very cool and convenient but it was not open when we arrived. I have heard they do a great job with the kids though. It is $7 per child and $3 per adult for admission but you can get an unlimited membership for $45 a month which includes 1 haircut and a pizza dinner every month as well. Very good deal. She always kept me informed about what was going on by calling me directly. She also allowed me to do pop-up visits, which showed transparency and trust. What I truly loved and respected about this daycare is that they made sure my son knew he was loved and supported, but they also held him accountable and made sure he followed the same rules as the other children. That balance of love, structure, and communication meant everything to me as a parent.

The very concept of the Ronald McDonald House is pretty amazing. They truly go above and beyond to…read morehelp families with sick children. Volunteers come in and cook meals - dinner and some lunches - for the families who need to stay here to be close to their children who are in the Detroit Children's Hospital. Every staff member I met here was so kind. They have a great system where the families staying help clean as well. You are responsible for keeping your own room and bathroom clean as well as the kitchen, trash and other common areas. This really helps them keep the cost affordable for families in need. I strongly encourage anyone who is able to donate time, money, whatever you can really to do so to the RMH. They also save the tabs from the tops of soda cans to raise money and I definitely plan on saving mine to send to them. So Thank You RMH for caring about my family and providing a place to stay where we could be near my nephew in the DCH.
