I was going to give this store a few more stars but right before I left I received attitude from…read moretheir employee (Geo). I was standing close to the door waiting for a family member to pay and he kept asking that I move even closer to the exit. I said I'll stand right here because I'm waiting for someone to pay. He said several times for me to move (which it was literally a few feet away), however, I was taking care of a baby in a stroller and it's chilly outside (which I mentioned to him is why I was staying exactly where I was). He then said he wasn't there to argue with anyone (who in the world is arguing with him). Before this when he was telling people to make the line that they were closing he sure seemed like he hated his job. Don't work with customers if you don't know how to deal with them. Overall the store has a good amount of clothing options, shoes, socks, and other products. Too bad their rating will be a 1 thanks to the poor customer service.

"Hit or Miss at Burlington"…read more Recently, I purchased a new coat for my eleven year-old from Burlington in Garfield, New Jersey. This store is relatively new to the area, and our family visited the location a few weeks after its opening. At that time, the store appeared to be well-organized, with a place for everything and everything in its place, to be cliche. On this visit, January 9, 2019, I was unimpressed. Burlington has taken on the personality within its interior of a Marshalls - there is one of these stores next door - or (black Friday-looking) Walmart; and, of course there is a Walmart at the other end of the huge parking lot of this shopping center. It's difficult to find what you're looking for at this Burlington store. The coats, at least for the small women's and children's areas, are severely disorganized. Numerous articles of clothing are strewn atop the vast rows of racks, and floor walkers are invisible. The coats that are arranged appear to be hung in the wrong sections, making for an unsatisfactory shopping experience. Our intent was to locate a winter coat for *around $50 or less. Eventually, we were able to locate a reasonably-priced wool coat with the Anne Klein label ($64.99). But, the checkout procedure and manners of a guest checkout at the nearby McDonald's was better. Apparently, a manager with a walkie-talkie took care of us; he seemed more interested in acquiring out phone number than asking us if we had a pleasant shopping experience or "did you find everything to your satisfaction" - if he had asked these questions, the conversation would have been decidedly two-way in nature, for we were certainly not pleased. Positives? * Location: it's nice to have access to this store without having to traverse the craziness of the local highways * Parking * Proximity to competitors * Home goods/furnishings * Quick gifts Negatives? * Disorganized inventory * Availability of English-speaking floor staff * Checkout experience * *Pricing What advice would you give to someone who is interested in shopping at Burlington? We imagine this location would be busy on the weekend, so plan to come mid-week. Would you recommend a customer to shop at this store? Perhaps it's best to shop for a seasonal coat before the season begins. We were expecting to find a much wider selection and were surprised to meet with such difficulty. Overall, it may be hit or miss, when hunting for the coat or jacket of your dreams - no pun intended with "hit or miss".

Love Costco thru-and-thru…read more I hate to be so candid - but I absolutely hate this location. Whether you're an Executive Member and have access at 9AM or you're coming 15 minutes before closing, this Costco is an absolute MAD HOUSE at all times of the day. I love organized chaos, but this is not for me. I'd rather drive 30 minutes in another direction to go to a much quieter and calmer location. Where's that you may ask? Not telling you, I don't want that location to be bombarded like this location is ALL THE TIME. Anyways, they offer everything every other Costco has, but because it's a madhouse at every hour of the day, like Shark Tank, "For this reason, I'm out".

I have been a Costco member for more than 20 years, and this was the worst customer service…read moreexperience I have ever had at Costco. On June 11, 2026, I visited Costco Warehouse #1214 in Teterboro, NJ with my wife and mother-in-law to exchange a diamond ring purchased from Costco on March 27, 2023 for $2,899. The ring was purchased as a gift for my mother-in-law after she helped care for our newborn son. It never fit properly and was never worn. We brought the original receipt, original box, original certificates, and the ring itself. The employee assisting us called over Reggie, who identified himself as the Customer Service Manager. After he refused the return, I requested a higher-level review and was then assisted by Chris, who informed me he was second in command at the warehouse. During the discussion, I pulled up Costco's own return policy on Costco's website and showed both managers the section specifically addressing diamond returns and inspections for diamonds over one carat. What frustrated me most was that neither manager appeared willing to engage with the policy I was showing them. I repeatedly asked why Costco's published policy did not apply and never received a clear answer. Instead, I was simply told the return would not be accepted. The issue wasn't just the denial. It was the attitude. Both managers came across as dismissive, condescending, and completely uninterested in helping. The most disappointing moment occurred when Chris told me he would be "more than happy to buy me a hot dog" but would not process the return. I found that comment insulting and unprofessional. My mother-in-law is a Costco customer in South Korea and was excited to visit a Costco warehouse in the United States before returning home. Instead, she left with a very negative impression of the experience and commented that the Costco stores in Korea felt very different from the ones here. I rarely return merchandise and Costco can verify that through my membership history. I wasn't asking for special treatment. I was asking Costco management to honor the policy published on Costco's own website. Very disappointing experience and completely unlike the Costco I have known for the past 20+ years.
