Did my 200-hr yoga teacher training here. My experience at yo-yo had its ups and downs but overall had a positive impact on my life and the students I teach... yoyoyogi!

Yoyoyogi has transformed not only my practice, but how I live my every day life. They have truly created a community within YoYo and the energy this place and the community creates is permeating. I have yet to find another studio like this one (and I don't think I ever will). The teachers are incredible; Alex, Kristy, Isabel, Carella, Xochilt - just to name a few. Every teach here is TRULY amazing and they each have a different message for every class they teach. The amount of gratitude i have for the place is infinite.

I love yoga and have always gone to a studio in Downtown Vancouver. It's where I began my journey of breath work through yoga! But a friend brought me to this hot yoga studio in the Pearl and it's been my of my favorite studios I've been to! The i structure Kristi was so awesome. I'm embarrassed to admit I even cried from relief at the end of class. It was just what I needed to surrender and recenter. I can't wait for Covid to clear so that I can attend Kristi's class again. The yoga mat wall is super adorable and throughout the studio was super fashionable. The atmosphere was chill and calming. Everyone was kind and welcoming!

We came here on my husband's birthday while vacationing in Portland. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and the studio is gorgeous. We did a hot class and it was perfect, loved the beautiful wood and brick hot room. We rented good quality mats & mat towels from them for $2 each. The girl at the front desk was so sweet, when we came out of class she gave us a note with ideas of things to do around town & a birthday message. If we lived here, this would be our studio for sure!

When I first moved to Portland, I spent several months scoping out yoga studios. Once I found YoYoYogi, I knew I was home. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, inspiring, and genuine. The vibe is local and familial. The staff/teachers hold a space that cultivates community and inspires joy, making it the place you crave, even on (if not especially on), those really challenging days. I love the variety of teaching styles offered. There is a hot room with super fun power classes for 50 or 60 minutes where you can sweat it all out. The unheated room hosts classes including introductory classes, power flow, fun fitness, yin and restorative. It is great because you can try several styles of yoga, all within one building. Regardless of the class I take, I always leave feeling lighter and entirely grateful for the community and the opportunity to practice the style of yoga my body needs. YoYo offers a New Student Special for $38 for 12 classes in 30 days; whichever comes first. They also have drop ins for $16, community classes for $12, and Happy Hour classes (offered Mon-Fri) for $10. Punch card Packages and monthly memberships are also available. Additionally, there are frequently fun workshops or special events to check out. To sum up, I found a home and a family at YoYo. Would highly recommend to a friend :)

Wow. Best yoga studio I have been to on the West Coast. Yup, seriously. I'm typically a Bikram fan, but my cousin wanted me to meet her for a class here and the $28 newbie special for unlimited classes for a month had me at Namaste (yes, that was a bad yogi joke). What you will want to know; YoYo Yogi is a beautiful and clean studio. They have wooden floors and it has been tastefully decorated with little lanterns in the studio spaces themselves lending a sense of peace and tranquility. So far, I have taken their Yin and their Yogaahh class, both of which left me feeling refreshed and calm. The Yin class used bolsters, blocks and blankets and all were super clean, high quality and in great shape. The owners of the studio are some of the nicest people I have ever met and are so excited about yoga and you that it just makes you want to try out every one of their unusual yoga class selections. I will absolutely be making it to Acro-Yoga next week but in the meantime will be making a point to visit their Yin class after my evening Bikram session for a truly restorative experience (yes, I am a masochist!). HIGHLY recommend YoYo Yogi Yoga Studio. The only thing that could improve this space would be showers but I know that's a lot to ask for in an urban studio!

Beware, the info page is misleading. Says you can cancel up to a minute before the class begins. Doesn't say that they'll keep your money.

I was able to get in through the coffee shop O'vive as they share the space. There was a wonderful and very kind person that worked there named Grey and even though I dropped in on what I believe was his break, he rebooked me for their next class and explained the classes to me. He hooked me up with a mat which is free ( I think for your first time) and a locker key (in exchange for my I.D.) and let me know about the various lockers. Gendered and all inclusive! I was so stressed with being late and his vibe and the vibe of the studio calmed me down. The place was beautiful, squeeky clean and had pretty small light hanging like curtains on the windows that face Grand. There was some relaxing music playing from the cafe and it smelled amazing. It may have been the tea, the food or whatever else they were making there but it had a nice fragrance. I was able to chill on this beautiful blue sofa snd drink tea and write this review while I was waiting for the next class. The lockers and showere were also nice!! Photos included. I did the Power Flow Class with Eila and it was amazing! It was my first time and it was relaxing yet challenging. I didn't know it was more of an advanced class but I was ablebto keep it (mostly) I will definitely be coming back to do more of their class!

After that, the prices are comparable to other studios in town. The space is really, truly gorgeous. I've driven around the building previously, admiring the architecture and wondering what was inside, so getting to see the interior was neat after all this time. The high ceilings and stained glass windows make for beautiful touches to a light, airy, and peaceful space. The teachers are all great. While they have their individual styles, there wasn't a single class I took that I was unhappy with. The schedule is pretty varied, with lots of options throughout the day. I only wish some of the times were slightly different, as classes often didn't line up with my unorthodox retail work schedule, but I was still able to make it work frequently enough. The atmosphere here is welcoming and inviting; it's enough of a community that you feel at home but not so insular that you feel awkward. The yoga mats are free to borrow for class, as they should be. I'm thrilled with my experience at the Yoga Space thus far and will almost definitely be a recurring practitioner.

Whether it is just an energizing afternoon of Vinyasa Power Flow, or an evening of stretching and meditation with Recovery Yoga, or even a mind-opening experience in Cannabis Yoga... every class is taught with such intent, with caring for the individual and their bodies' needs and limitations, and so much love. Let me tell you a story... Years ago, I was struggling with my transition and many experiences had me sinking under the weight of feeling hated, disdained, or looked down upon by others. This had fed into the feelings of self-hatred that plague so many of us trans folk and I was so suicidal that I had a plan and a place all picked out. One night, I was so distressed, so panicked by the weight of pain that I was walking toward that place, ready at least to test my plan... or more..., when I noticed Yoga on Yamhill on my right. So many friends had suggested the place and how wonderful it was. I felt a sudden and strong urge to check it out. It was coming up on 9pm and... there was a Restorative Yin/Nidra class just about to begin. So, I turned in and ended up doing my very first yoga class ever. When it was all done, I felt as if the weight of the world was lifted off me, I could breathe again... I felt wonderful! Since then, I've attended so many classes here, mainly Yin and other stretching and gravity-focussed classes. I tried Hatha, and that was a great workout for me. I tried Vinyasa and OH MY GAWD that completely kicked my butt. I have gotten to know all the yogis here. Most of them are women and classes are mainly made up of women, making this a very welcoming and kind space, a wonderful place for those of us who do not "conform." There are guys teaching, mainly David Miller right now, who does Yin, Restorative, Cannabis Yoga, and events that blend Reiki, Massage, other healing arts, and yoga. This is a place to heal and grow, not just an exercise studio by another name. Please, if you need more than just a workout, come on in. The studio lost a lot of classes during CoViD, but it's recovering, new teachers are arriving and the schedule is filling out again. Take a look, at yogaonyamhill.com.
