Unfortunately the graphs that were done years ago by another doctor had areas in which original hair did not need to be transplanted. After 20 years some areas in the front of my scalp became very thin and it did not look like it did 20 years ago. I knew most of my donor area had already been taken and I consulted Dr. Rosenelli to see if he might be able to improve the front hairline. He offered a realistic solution but also inform me that there was some limitations with the amount of donor area that I had left. I decided based on his honesty and expertise that I would go with a procedure about two weeks later. The girl who would do my scrubs was not assigned to me one time, and I got assigned a different girl who did not tend to me like the girl I had always come to. For instance, towards the end of my scalp scrub, the girl I always went to would leave me for roughly 10 minutes and join the steam bubble they encapsulate your head in for ultimate relaxation. But when I got assigned to a different girl, she did not provide this service, and when I asked about it, she said "I did steam your hair." But it was just with the handheld steamer. She did not encapsulate my head in the steam bubble contraption, which I was disappointed about because that was literally one of the highlights of the appointments. But then fast forward and the last time I went was December 2024 and I haven't been back. I'm not sure why the salon changed everything but now they cater more to nails than hair, which is confusing because it is still called Pure Hair Spa. Now the singular hair station is in the very back. When they used to be multiple hair stations right up front. And I used to be put in a nice spacious room for my appointment, but when I went in December 2024, I was put in a room the size of a closet. It was borderline claustrophobic how tiny/cramped it was. I know that they always provided nail services, but the scope of the salon has completely changed from when they opened, and now the nail stations have taken the place of the hair stations in the front. So I guess if you want to get your nails done, this is the spot to come to.

When I finally had it removed after 2 1/2 months Emily of course was out of town so her aid removed it and when she did so she removed most of my hair on top of my head. It was the most painful situation I've been through in a very long time. She was lying to me and telling me it was natural shedding that she was removing when in fact, I have no hair left on top of my head so now it is very difficult for me to go back to my clip in toppers because I have so little hair left. I have been working so hard for the last two years to get my hair to grow back and it was doing so much better. Emily promised me that the solution to remove the glue was easy Peezy and would come right off NOT damage my own hair. It was excruciating. I was the first client of the morning, so I looked in the garbage can and saw the piles of my hair in there so I know how much came out. Things for you to think about before you EVER agree to have anything glued to your head by Emily. The cost of this piece is really expensive as I've priced it out with other pieces so her prices are high. The quality of her pieces are subpar as they literally shed all the time. I truly wanted to have a good experience, but unfortunately my results were very disappointing--especially considering the amount I paid. During my first visit, the procedure was one of the most painful experiences I've ever had because there seemed to be a lack of care for my comfort. I was not offered any numbing cream, and I was in significant pain throughout the entire appointment. Before coming here, I already had nice eyebrows done by another professional--I simply wanted a touch-up to make them a little darker and slightly thicker in the middle. Instead, I was charged $700 as though this were my first full brow procedure, despite already having existing work done. I was also charged an additional $100 for "nano" work that was not done deeply enough, and it completely faded away once the scabbing healed. Another major issue was that she shaved parts of my natural eyebrows that should never have been touched. I expected only the small hairs underneath my brow to be cleaned up, but instead more of my natural brow was removed. I carefully followed all aftercare instructions, yet the pain in my eyebrows lasted nearly three weeks. Most importantly, she did not follow the shape I requested. I specifically wanted my brows to remain similar to what I already had--slightly thicker in the middle--not higher, not more pointed, and not thinner. Unfortunately, that is exactly what she changed. I let it go after the first visit, hoping the touch-up would correct things. Sadly, the second visit made everything worse. I returned because the nano strokes had disappeared and my brows still did not look darker--as if I had barely had anything done despite spending so much money. During the touch-up, even more of my right eyebrow was shaved off, making it much thinner and more pointed than it has ever been in my life. I walked out looking like I had overly thin 1990s brows, which was absolutely not what I wanted. Now my right brow is noticeably thinner and more pointed, while my left brow was left thicker and more intact. I am literally walking around with two uneven eyebrows after paying $800 total. This was a very expensive service for me, and I trusted this business with my face. Two years ago, I paid another professional in San Jose much less, and the results were beautiful. I came here expecting the same level of expertise and care, and unfortunately that was not my experience.
