We have been on several cruises to Progreso and never got off the ship until this visit, and I'm so glad we did. We were traveling with multiple families with kids ages 2-14 and adults up to their 70s. Every single one of us had a great time. We had a private van (like a Sprinter) with plenty of seating and nice cool AC. The ride to the cenotes was over an hour, but our guide kept us entertained with history and stories about the area. The cenotes themselves were amazing; they were breathtakingly beautiful. They weren't crowded - we were literally the only people at one. The kids loved the rope swings, and one from our group braved the 30+ foot jump from the top. At the end, we were served an absolutely delicious meal by a sweet group of local ladies. Even the picky eaters found something to enjoy. We didn't want to cut it close with our ship's departure, and our guide was sensitive to this. We returned with an hour to spare as we requested. Bear in mind that the cenotes are in remote locations, so facilities were limited and restrooms were rustic. Once off the main road, it was very bumpy for the last 10 minutes or so. Also, lots of steep stairs led to the cenotes, so this isn't a great fit for anyone with mobility issues. That being said, it was totally worth it in our group's opinion. I cannot say enough good things about this company and our experience with them! From the communication before the trip, to the actual tour, everything was taken care of and in order. We had a private tour that was customizable (and right on par with the other excursions offered in the area as far as pricing goes) and ended up being the highlight of our whole cruise. We were taken to a village where we were able to walk and talk with the local people at an old church and the village market (several people in our group speak Spanish, so they were able to more fully immerse in the experience). It was so authentic and a great experience. Then we were taken to some ancient ruins where our guide gave us a little [optional] informative tour and then let us roam around at our leisure for a while (including climbing to the top of the tall pyramids) before we boarded the bus again. Next was the incredible cenote where we swam and explored for a while - it was breath-takingly beautiful. Our last stop was the home of a local family, where we were served an authentic lunch. This was absolutely amazing. Such a unique opportunity! Our children were able to play in the backyard with the two young children who lived in the home, and who were so sweet. Like I mentioned, we had several Spanish speakers, so we were able to converse with the children and there wasn't an awkward language barrier. Lunch was delicious and plentiful! We were so grateful for their hospitality. Our tour guide was really funny, and very informative. He made us feel comfortable and I would love to tour with him, and the company in general, again. It was pouring rain on the way back to the ship, but our driver was aware that we couldn't be late, so he did his best to get us there quickly and safely. Side note: we brought little toys for the children and they seemed to be excited about them. And we brought money to tip the tour guide and driver, which I believe is kind of an expectation. read more

I contacted this company because I was interested in one of their port excursions. They got back to me promptly (almost immediately) despite the fact that they were currently at a fundraiser event with all of the necessary information. When I didn't follow up, they sent a second email clarifying some of the finer points of the first email. Upon checking the budget, we discovered that their excursion was not something we could do, due to money. Not to say it was overpriced, but that we've dedicated our resources to other parts of the trip. They were understanding and went ABOVE and BEYOND. They advised us on free shuttles, where to find them, when to find them, when they would stop running; they told us of the free beaches and shops and museums we could peruse once exiting the shuttle. I thanked them kindly for their extra service (after already telling them we would not be able to use them!) and they sent another email with a helpful link to the Facebook group for our sailing! Exceptional, extraordinary customer service, and believe me that if I HAD the money, I would give it straight to them. read more

The best travel decision we ever made! We travel a great deal so our family is rather burnt out on the cookie cutter tours. Yucatan Cenote provides a PRIVATE, custom tour that didn't break the bank. While everyone else debarking from our cruise ship was being herded on to packed buses without a/c, we met our tour guide in a newer model van with all the amenities, even soda, wine, and beer! It was just our family, nobody else. This was one of the most memorable days in our lives. We visited a clear blue Cenote. The Cenote history is incredible and they were just as beautiful as we had seen on television. Our next stop was lunch which was prepared by a Mayan family, in their home. This was such a beautiful and humbling experience. The family was so gracious to let us into their home and the food was incredible! Our last stop was visiting Mayan ruins. Unlike the crowded tourist traps to Chichen Itza, we were alone at the ruins and could walk up the pyramid. Words could not describe what we saw. This is a once in a lifetime experience you will not regret. read more
