Wow, I'm not surprised about the low reviews. This establishment is terrible! I needed to speak with the manager because we found a LONG blonde hair in one of the cake doughnuts that we ordered a couple days ago, and the customer service personnel made it impossible. They didn't speak English well, so I spoke Spanish. They couldn't speak it either. One day a woman the next day a man (I'm sure he was the manager). He hung up on me and when I called back, he picked up and put the phone off the hook. Not very trustworthy business. It is gross and unethical. Went in there this evening for a quick donut pick up and was surprised on the assortment they had to offer because at most other donuts shops they would either be old with only a handful to choose from. Very friendly, very fast and they don't have a $5 minimum to use a card. The food is consistent so if you like it the first time, you can expect the same thing every time after. The parking is always convenient but that probably will change as a 99 cent store is opening next door. The parking lot is a little messy at times, but that is normal in LA. read more

For me customer service is really important, So when I arrived to this yum yum location i expected a hello and nice smile . As soon as I opened my mouth for I hesitated, he walked away and started to place donuts in the fridge and went into another room. Good donuts at a fair price. The four corners nearby attract their share of characters around these parts, be it the Bottle Bin liquor, the Mobil station, the 7-11 across the street. Stick around here and you will see what I mean. For the longest time, I would see a Freddie Mercury lookalike in hot pants or were they cutoffs? And how could I forget his cowboy hat? He seemed to have a gravitational orbit around the corners. He was harmless enough, I suppose. Anyhow, their apple fritters are great, as are the curlers, and this place is surprisingly clean. Some donut shops are petri dishes, or their donuts can be dropped at center ice in a Kings game. A lot of foot traffic here from the Laundromat next door and the 99 Cents store. Went in for a late night snack after hanging out with some buddies, and ordered a breakfast chorizo sandwich with an ice blended drink. The drink was what I expected, but the sandwich was a disaster. When I first took a look, I noticed that the filling was a little strange, but I decided to take a chance. With the first bite ( which I regretted immediately ) I noticed that everything was as hard as a rock, and absolutely burnt. This is the best donut shop I've ever been in. They use the best coffee (farmers) which has been around a long time so you know it's good they have the best home made sandwiches in town.
