Found this spot using the too good to go app. Happy to know they participate in reducing food waste. The ladies behind the counter are friendly and service is very fast. There was a line to the door today when I arrived and I was at the front in a matter of minutes, thank you. This is a small local donut shop, popular among the community. Donuts here are tasty, they have a variety from old fashioned, cake style, jelly filled l, twists, glazed, Apple fritters and more. They also do various sandwiches and serve coffee, drinks, smoothies and boba. The guy in front of me was ordering a breakfast sandwich with bacon, cheese and egg, sounded so good, maybe next time. We discovered this place through the too good to go app. I like this app because it offers an affordable way to try something new. While we had a nice adventure getting here, sadly, that's where the positives end. FOOD The donuts were EXTREMELY dry and hard. I strongly suspect these were beyond-day old donuts. We also purchased a donut in store, and it was significantly less dry, similar to a store packaged entenmanns donut. The variety of donuts, was actually decent, and included a filled donut, an apple fritter, bear claw, both yeasted and cake donuts. I always find it funny when I get a donut surprise bag and there's at least three donuts with coconut sprinkles on them. PICK UP EXPERIENCE/SERVICE We had to shout to get the attention of the person in the back. She quickly handed us the box and walked away. She never asked if we want to purchase anything else. We did. So we had to shout, once again, to bring her back to sell us a cake donut with sprinkles ($1.45!) The plaza had parking, so it was at least to do the pick up. GENERAL OBSERVATION. No one wants the coconut sprinkle donuts. They always look dry and sad. Stop putting coconut sprinkles on donuts. Seriously. Unless there's pineapple in the donut, then just stop it. I have gone to the donut shop on two different Sundays at the same time, around 9:45am. On both occasions the donuts served are cold inside. I have a feeling these cinnamon crumb donuts are being made at 2:00 or 3am, and have become extremely cold. Have you ever had cold dough? If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I have never been more angry at an establishment when customers were treated so horribly. My aunt's english is quite broken so communicating is a little hard but she didn't deserve that type of treatment. They were short with her, irritated, impatient, and extremely rude. She simply asked for jalapeños in her sandwich and they said it would cost extra. While she was still willing to pay, they DIDN'T include it in and still charged her. When she went to ask for the missing ingredient, they brushed her off and ignored her. If you are craving donuts or a sandwich, go somewhere else and do NOT support this place. They made her cry. They have the best ham and cheese croissants, fresh and flakey, filled with lots of ham and cheese. Awesome. Literally awesome. These are the French pastry of donuts, in the valley anyhow! I don't eat a lot of donuts, but when I do, I like them to be some with character. (Not the cookie cutter, grocery store kind-some with guts!) My absolute fav is the cinnamon-crunchy covered one. Sorry, don't know what it's called, but it is one with the traditional hole in the center...awesome. The buttermilk bar is my husband's new fav. It looks like a brick, but is so great inside-it actually tastes like melted butter! I realize there are prob no less than a million donut shops in LA; but Winter Plus is a new one that is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Rock on, Winter Plus! All because I wanted a ham and cheese croissant and the 1st place I went to ran out so I decided to come to this place instead. I ordered it and a bagel plain for my granny. I was going to pay and saw the debit card logos and another handwritten sign below it "$10 minimum thank you." So I point to the sign and the lady said "yes $10" so ok let's see fine I bought a large Thai Iced tea with boba, total $9.25 man you've got to be kidding me she says again $10, donut holes $1. Fine add them whatever $10.25. As she's making the drink another lady comes out from the back and starts helping with other orders. So I'm waiting for her to make my drink another lady comes in makes a purchase $6 pays with her debit card the other lady said NOTHING to her as she charged her, so I said out loud "oh but you made me spend $10 to use my card." The staff said nothing, I'm still waiting for my drink the place is getting packed, this is the only part that came out good out of this, a little boy about 4 years up goes up to look at the donuts and he points to the donut holes and tells his dad that's what he wanted, the dad pulls out a handful of coins and starts to count them, so I asked him if I could give them to the boy I bought them just to buy them so spend the $10 to complete my order. He thanked me and left. I'm still waiting for my drink. The lady who was originally in the back came up to the counter where I was waiting and said "ma'am stop saying we made you spend $10 customers are going to think we are robbing you. You don't have to spend $10 anything under is 50 cent charge." So I tell her the worker didn't say that to me she kept point to the sign saying yes $10, "I don't know why you don't understand we charge .50 cent if under $10" so me trying to be nice.. "I don't understand? No you don't understand she never told me about charging.50 cents she kept point to the sign and saying $10 and to make it clear to customers you can make that part of your sign too!" If that was the case I would of gladly paid the .50 fee I would of spent less than $5 not $10.25 needless to say I'll never go back and to top it off the croissant tasted old! read more

Don't have lots of selection. I was going to go to a different store. Then, the lady offers to put custard fillings in long john donuts. So I said ok. She put my orders in the box. Getting another box for my mom also with long johns filled with custard filling. Then, she told me that I have to pay extra for the filling for each donut. I left without buying anything and I definitely won't be back either. It is not about the money but the principal. At first the lady was willing to accommodate me but in the end, she wanted to charge me extra for doing so. If she wants to charge me then do tell me up front. Don't tell me after she put my donuts in the box and trying to put the second order in. I went to a different store and got me some custard filled donuts with no extra charge. They even give me another donut that would cost me extra 50 cents and waive that 50 cents. Go to DC donuts instead. read more
