Best donut shop in LA. The couple that runs the place are extremely kind and sometimes they give out free stuff when they happen to have extra. It's a small family business. Supporting them is sooo worth it, they're one of the best parts of the area. They also sell breakfast sandwiches and drinks, and they're delicious. "Honestly, don't waste your time or money here. I only kept coming because it's close to me, but the quality is gone. $6 for a soggy croissant that didn't even have the jalapeños I asked for and it wasn't flaky at all , No thanks. The donuts just as bad they're barely glazed. I'm tired of driving out of the area for a decent donut or ham and cheese croissant with jalapeño, so I'm really hoping the new shop opening up nearby actually gets it right. read more

The cutest little mom and pops donut shop on winnetka. Elderly couple were the sweetest!! My Visit was impromptu because I needed to take donuts for the soccer practice and it was the closest place to my end point. They were so friendly and accommodating! Had an assortment of donuts I only tried the old fashioned and it was tasty. We also opted for a bagel which was fresh from western bagel. They warmed it up and all. Went to pick up donuts for the team, and found the WD crowd where the owner seemed to know everyone in the store. Obviously, there was a friendly vibe, and very quick service. Staff were awesome and nice and efficient as well - totally collegial and treating a newbie like a family member. Staff sucked up all the offering so fast couldn't even get a pic! Everything I have had here has been wonderful! Try the #5, Bacon, Egg & Cheese bagel, (my favorite, with fresh Western Bagel's, many to choose from.) or try a toasted bagel with cream cheese, half avacado and half with sliced tomato, add jalapenos. I enjoy Western Donuts 6 out of 7 days a week. While I only get my coffee mug refilled, no more donuts for me, I will get a bagel from time to time. Debbie, her husband, and her brother are the owner operators. It is a joy to see them each day, sometimes as early as 530am, when they open. What a great way to begin the day here. You will see many of the same faces each day, as many people enjoy the always fresh coffee and astounding variety of donuts, bagels, hot and cold sandwiches, smoothies, and much more.
