High expectations often leads to disappointment and this is an example of that. Some of mmy very favorite Yelpers have given Yume Hibachi rave reviews but I just don't see it. The restaurant is comfortable but decor is 90s coffee shop goes ramen. Metal tables and chairs. Minimalist. Nice wall paintings and a bit of steaming. Otherwise fairly nondescript. I ordered hibachi chicken. It came with soup and salad, both fairly average and consistent with what you get at other hibachi restaurants. The chicken was tasty, but somewhat rubbery and consistency, and the fried rice was moist, but bland. The portion was excellent, but it was overall somewhat average and not up to the standards that I am used to at better hibachi restaurants. The price was slightly lower than it is standard hibachi restaurant where it is served Teppanyaki style, but not enough to offset the loss of the entertainment and the additional food items and service that you receive. Overall, I found things pretty average. Having a $20 plus entrée served on a plastic plate with package plastic utensils just does not seem to scream out value to me. I thought everything was OK but I do not think this will be a place I will frequent. read more

First time at Yume, here at my old mall from childhood-Kendall Mall. Location is great & easy in strip mall. It feels like a fast food place ala Pinchos/Panera style where you order at counter either from kiosk or staff. First off, Price is no bargain despite the Pinchos/panera type fast food like style. My chicken ramen soup $14.95 was bland and not restaurant quality at all, portion slightly small but ok, but lackluster. No extras like edamame, seaweed, corn. Meh. Hubby's hibachi was ok, but well over 20 dollars? At least it came with uninteresting, but adequate soup & salad. The matcha smoothie was just cold milk with matcha flavor at $7.25, plus smallish-meh. If I want Hibachi or Ramen in the West Kendall area of Miami, I'll pay a couple bucks more and head to a real restaurant. This feels like a chain, not in a good way. How did I not know this place existed when it's so close?! Yume is basically fast food hibachi perfection ... think Samurai, but faster, cheaper, and just as packed with flavor. The portions are generous, the seasoning hits just right, and you get that hibachi style taste without the wait or the price tag. I stopped by Yume Hibachi and ordered a passion fruit slushy along with their pork ramen, and both were absolutely delicious. The slushy was perfectly refreshing -- not too sweet, just the right balance of tart and tropical flavor. The pork ramen came out steaming hot with tender slices of pork, rich broth, and noodles cooked just right. Every bite hit the spot. I went after the High School graduation of my oldest daughter and her friend family who is also just graduating! They feel the need for Hibachi. And they were so friendly, nice, accommodating, plus! The food was super delicious !! We got Ramon, Hibachi, and Fried Rice! The fried rice was extremely fresh and so good! Thank you for making our experience so much open, and top notch! 05/2025 Rating: 3.0 RESTAURANT: Inside, the restaurant was small and has more like a take out vibe than we anticipated looking from the website. Its very clean, decor is minimal with the menu in large screens up on the wall. Its was also a little warm there for my liking so I just know that eating ramen was noin the cards for the day. Utensils were just on the side with no signs nor any thought because it was just sitting on a plastic container and I thought it was trash. There are lots of seating, again reminisce of a fast food joint. They have one beautiful accent wall wayyy back by the restrooms which we wouldn't have noticed had we not looked for seats away from the sun. SERVICE: Service was ok. The person that took our order was also the person that brought our food and cleans the table. I also think that it's unfortunate that they could not provide me a cup of water. FOOD: Overall the food was good. The packaging of the food is just kind of confusing. My friend ordered the vegan ramen. He said its good. The ramen came in a beautifully designed disposable bowl. My other friend ordered a chicken and shrimp hibachi combo and her food arrived in a disposable plate that looked like real china on top of a gold charger but her soup and salad came in a plastic and foam to-go containers. My takoyaki and chicken katsu bun came in two of their signature to-go boxes. Utensils were in a package and we thought it was odd it came with a toothpick/floss but I did not mind. It was weird that they did not provide us with chopsticks and we had to locate it ourselves. The plating/packaging is very contradictory... looked like it can be nice sit-down place but has a Panda Express vibe. Which is too bad because it's really take away from the food. The hibachi combo was well seasoned. The vegan ramen was colorful. The takoyaki was good and the katsu and bun was good but that kimchi is a little boring. Overall this visit was underwhelming. Price point is average. Maybe we'll just order take out next time, although not anytime soon. read more

Everytime we have family come to town, Yume is on our "must have" list. We absolutely love the hibachi combinations. My wife prefers the vegetables, but I have savored every type of their hibachi combos. I really enjoy the salmon, chicken, and filet. I can't live without the Koren fried chicken bun appetizer. You definitely need to give the beef rib ramen a try as well (see picture below). We normally order everything take out, but the location has plenty of seating. read more

I went to Yume and this time my husband wanted to go. All because he saw what our son and myself had, and so we went. He absolutely loved it! He even said he was definitely going back for more. It is hard to convince him because he loves to cook but now he's hooked on going again next Friday. I'm so excited that he loved it. We are definitely making Yume our date night often. It's very clean, cozy and decor is amazing! They are also very friendly and welcoming when you get there. We had the combination chicken and shrimp and Sapporo beer with our dinner. We also noticed that there are a lot of orders for delivery and the uber drivers were running in and out. They really have a great menu and dinner comes with a choice of soup and crisp salad. Great food! I was pleasantly surprised about this fairly new Japanese spot in Kendall. The food was so fresh and tasty. The prices were phenomenal compared to some other hibachi spots in Kendall. I had the hibachi combo with two meats (steak and shrimp). It was cooked perfectly. I loved the homemade ginger dressing for the salad and the yum yum sauce. It's not your usual hibachi experience but it is flavourful. We had a chance to try this new restaurant in our neighborhood and really enjoyed it. We had a chance to speak to Lucas who seems to be the mastermind of this restaurant (they do catering and can cook for you at home if you meet the minimum party requirements). Everything was carefully thought through. The food is made there including the yum yum sauce and their ginger dressing; the black garlic ramen was great and the hibachi combination of filet mignon and shrimp, too. I picked up a steak hibachi for my husband because I wanted to see if it was going to be good or not. The lunch combo came with a salad, soup, vegetables & fried rice.
