Kampai is a lil sushi spot in Miami. I heard that they've been around forever and, walking in, it felt a big nostalgic even if I've never been there before. It reminded me a bit of a sushi spot I used to work at in high school- intimate and a pretty extensive menu. Parking can be a bit tough but we were lucky to find a spot easily this time around. When you walk inside, there are two sides and I heard it can sometimes be a bit of a wait for a table. The service was great and pretty fast. We ended up ordering two rolls and the Tom Kha chicken soup. The soup was probably my favorite out of everything. I think the rolls would have been my favorite but I think the rice was a little too damp. I think this was just a one time experience for that so I would like to come back and try the rolls again because the flavors were great!

If you want sushi this is a place to go. It is a small, cute restaurant. We called to make a reservation and right when we got there we were seated. There is an option to sit either up stairs which is the traditional sitting on the floor or down stairs where there is chairs. All the servers were attentive and very helpful. We ordered a couple appetizers, sushi rolls and a boat. The fish for the sashimi and nigiri was fresh.

Delicious food, amazing prices and amazing service. Parking is a little hard but it's always packed for a reason. Just do yourself a favor and try this place out.

A friend recommended this place a while ago. We originally first visited over a year ago, and again recently (last week). It's not a fancy place but that doesn't bother me much. It's still welcoming and the service was good both times. The first time we came I remember they had a lunch menu with specials. It was not available on this last visit, but they normally still have it. This time we ordered a Crispy Rice appetizer dish with tuna. Loved it! For rolls, we picked two that were fully cooked, the Caliente roll (wish fish) and another one with salmon (can't recall name now). The person I visited with is allergic to shellfish so I had to skip on other options. Caliente roll was tastier, as the salmon one had no flavor, but still not what I'd pick again. What saved the day was the appetizer! Parking is limited.

Amazing Japanese and Thai food! Every plate we've ordered has always been delicious and abundant. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly and will recognize you by face once you go there a few times. It's always busy but you get seated without waiting too long. Ambiance is nice and you can also sit at the bar and see them make sushi!

Kampai is my favorite restaurant in the whole world! I never knew what I was missing out on until I came here for the first time. I had never had pad thai before or tom kah and I was blown away. I come to Kampai at least once a month because I truly crave the food that has such a unique and special taste that feels home made and delicious. I love this place so much and enjoy coming here and speaking to the sweet waitresses and owners. I love Kampai and hope you will too! It is definitely a hole in the wall find, but the inside gives a perfect home feel that you cannot find anywhere else when wanting to get a good meal.

We had an unplanned visit here on Sunday whilst waiting for our friend's dog to be finished with an emergency vet service across the street. It was a perfect spot to grab a bite while we waited. The menu is large - I am always wary of "combo" type places where there are two distinct cuisines on the menu, but I knew this place has been in business forever, so I guess they have figured it out. Larry S. and I both got Japanese combos and our friend had a wonton soup with a roll. First of all, the portions are HUGE!! It was so much food. Even the solo roll our friend ordered had about 15 pieces to it. My favorite was the tempura that came with Larry's combo. Lots of variety and clearly freshly fried. Super crisp with a tangy dipping sauce. I thought the fish freshness was so-so. Not off at all, but right on the edge. This was confirmed when Larry, who admittedly has a very sensitive constitution, had to make an emergency pit stop back at the vet due to an upset stomach. Nevertheless, we did eat all the food and enjoyed it very much. Getting the bill at the end took a bit of time, but other than that, the service was very good! Although I wish we didn't have to have the emergency vet visit, it was a pleasant surprise to have lunch at Kampai.

This is the best sushi place I've ever visited. The waitresses here are so sweet and know everything on the menu and have great recommendations. The food was fresh and the sashimi pieces are cold and not warm. The place is clean and gives off a traditional vibe. I definitely recommend sitting at the bar.

Listen. I'll keep it short. The restaurant is small and simple. The food is amazing and they have food portions. The service is good.

The Fried Calamari were HUUUGE and meaty and the flying dragon roll was so delicious, just also had a little more cream cheese than we'd prefer. The service was great, the food came out SUPER quick and everything was made hot and fresh and we almost couldn't believe how quickly everything came out. Multiple servers would stop by our table to see if we needed anything and that was great. Service was a 10/10. The ambiance is very heavily Anime Themed (hence the name) so if you're into that kind of thing this place is like heaven for you. Overall had a great time, food was great, service was great. I will definitely be coming back!

And certainly does ramen right. Manga Ninja hero Naruto Uzumaki's absolute favorite food is ramen, specifically the miso-based pork broth ramen from Ichiraku Ramen. His namesake restaurant stays true to his favorite food and does it impeccably. My go to is the Chicken Tonkotsu with add dumplings. I must admit that I have not tried the sushi and do not plan to because the reviews of it are pretty mediocre. But the Ramen is top notch. The bubble teas are delicious. The vibe is just so cool. I really enjoy this restaurant and highly recommend it for what is the clear winner for best Ramen in the area.

We ordered ahead of time, waited for quite some time. My husband drove all the way there, only to arrive home and realize that half our order was missing. Called them to complain, and they are taking off the missing items from our bill. The food we did receive was mediocre at best, honestly Publix does better than what we received tonight. The spicy tuna roll, one of our always staples, was just rice and tuna, no spicy mayo. Total disappointment. Waste of time, energy and money. They don't do delivery and we're certainly not driving back there, but I feel like in instances like this they should make it up to you. It's not about the money. It's about not having the food that you ordered and were excited to receive.

Recently, we moved to this area and have made this our go-to Thai restaurant and we also love their sashimi when you just want some great fresh slices of hamachi. Recently, I tried their pad thai. I am not normally a pad thai lover however, this pad thai is made with angel hair type noodles that really soak up the delicious sauce. Included in the chicken pad Thai is also perfectly cooked tofu and delicious pork rinds. Honestly, its so good that it can satisfy a pasta craving also. Their tom kha soup is also in my opinion the best in Miami. It's not overly watery or just coconut milk like most offerings. Pla tu makes it with fresh herbs and has a little bit of heat mixed in. It's so good. The pieces of chicken and mushrooms are also tender and not overly boiled like most tom kha soups. We also go for the sushi. Their sashimi is extremely fresh and we can never turn down some fresh sliced hamachi here. Lastly, yesterday we tried the Thai Donuts. I am not normally a fan but the waitress insisted we try and boy are we glad we did. They were warm pillows that melted in our mouths and we scarfed them down. I don't think I will ever visit again without ordering them. I love this place. Service is great. Food is consistently delicious and I will always be back.
