Luckily for me, Claudette was very kind and patient. She went over the different types of facials that she offers and explained the benefits of each one. My main concern was to even out my skin tone from acne scars and clean out my pores, so we ended up going with the Microdermabrasion facial. I will admit that even after the consultation I was still nervous. I knew that there would be buffing involved and was very scared that it would hurt and my skin would look raw! But boy was I wrong. Claudette was very gentle and took her time, making sure I was comfortable with everything she was doing. Within minutes I was completely relaxed and forgot that I was ever worried about anything. I've been having breakouts since January, pretty badly for the first time ever. After trying plenty of remedies, I found her online. Not only are her facials all natural and extremely relaxing, but I always leave glowing and my skin healing a bit more. Negin has given me plenty of tips to get my skin back to health, and I've bought a few products in her skincare line to replace with chemically products I was using prior. (Nuh' Geen'....phonetic spelling...hope I got that right, Negin!) I tend to write reviews when an experience is either spectacular, or poor enough that I feel it's my duty to warn others. Of course, Negin is on the SPECTACULAR end. Her space is small, modest, quiet, tranquil. If you want lots of bells and whistles and a fancy location, this isn't it. But if you want to be treated to a lovely experience amidst Negin's calming, soothing energy and a facial that is both thorough and tailored to your skin's needs, Negin will not disappoint. She greeted me with her gorgeous, bright smile and welcoming energy. And while I'm always a bit wary of getting facials (super sensitive skin means bad experiences are likely), Negin set my mind at ease. She took her time. Everything she uses is gentle and free of chemicals, and smells divine. I purchased two masks in addition to my facial, which Negin packaged up beautifully for the ride home, and the total, while not insignificant for those of us on a budget, cost roughly the same as what I spent for my last facial alone (without products). My last facial, at a deluxe spa in Soho, was lovely, but I was interested in trying out Negin's services because I had a feeling that, due to the more intimate nature of her space and her reputation for taking a personal approach to each client, that she wouldn't up-sell me on a more expensive treatment nor products, and indeed, she did not. That alone makes me want to return to JustBe! But it's the final result that makes Negin the best in the business. I came home and assessed my skin post-treatment, and it is now clear, glowing and without any cuts or tiny bruises of any kind. (This also, is a rarity for one with sensitive skin.) Perfection!
