You pick what carb choice you want with the bowl you make- noodles, fried rice, etc. and once you make your bowl and add your sauces and seasonings, the food is brought to your table with the carb you chose. First time trying Yummy Bowl, and overall, I enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, and while the customer service was just okay, it wasn't enough to really take away from the visit. I ordered a Yummy Bowl, where you choose your own noodles, vegetables, seasonings, and other ingredients, and they cook everything right in front of you. Since it was my first visit, I wasn't completely sure how the ordering process worked, so that made the experience a little confusing at first. The food turned out decent, and I'd definitely like to go back and try different combinations now that I have a better idea of how everything works. My husband and son didn't find much on the menu that was appealing to them, so they ordered the fried chicken instead. They both agreed that it was pretty well seasoned and good. While my husband and son weren't huge fans of the overall concept because they have different food preferences than I do, I can definitely see myself returning. We happened to be in the area and decided to try this new spot, and we're so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They took the time to explain the menu options and answer all of our questions. We ordered a regular bowl, but they also offer an all-you-can-eat option for only about $5 more. The staff explained that with the all-you-can-eat option, leftovers cannot be taken home. We chose the single bowl and were surprised by how generous the portion was--we couldn't even finish it! For anyone who enjoys all-you-can-eat dining, this is a fantastic option and a great value. I love the concept, the creativity you get to put into your meal, but there's always room for improvement. It was date night for my husband and I, so we decided to try yummy Bowl. Upon entering, i saw quite a few people waiting around to get seated. We headed to the counter let them know we needed a table for two. We were seated immediately. While walking to the table, i noticed how slippery the floor was, that could've been room for disaster. The original seats they sat us at was hidden in another room closed off from the rest of the restaurant. We asked to be moved to a booth, which they happily moved us to. The server explained how the process worked and we were off to create our meal. The food station was quite congested,as it's small and everyone is trying to decide what they want to put in their bowls. Customers don't give you room to breathe, and they are on your heels. You decide what meat, spices and sauces you want and leave your food at the counter for the cooks. Once your food is cooked, your server will bring it to the table. My bowl turned out good. I wish they gave you different recommendations on what sauces to use, or combine together. Trial and error style dining! They have bottomless options or just a one time bowl option. The crab Rangoon were delicious. Not overly sweet, but yet quite savory. I say go for the experience, but be prepared to wait. The inside is not that big, and isn't ideal for large groups. read more

5/5 what can I even say. If you're starving and haven't eaten all day you will be full and get your moneys worth here. For $14 they allow you to fill a bowl mountain high with whatever variety of veggies meats and seasonings then they add in your selection of carbs (I do the noodles and fried rice) it is fantastic. I wish they had a premix option for the seasonings and sauce mix as of now you have to make it yourself which I love but I know some people may have issues with it. Not sure where else you can get this great of a deal though. I walk out every time with a bowl bigger than the food I ate while sitting to take home. I will be a repeat customer continually. New spot for fast casual hibachi. Lots and lots of fresh veggies , meats, and seafood to choose from. New to me were dry spices you could mix to season your protein (such as lemon pepper, garlic, onion, old bay, black pepper), and a wide variety of sauces too! I chose garlic oil with lots of chopped fresh garlic, fresh chilies, soy sauce, and teriyaki sauce. For my proteins, I chose shrimp, bay, scallops, steak, sausage, and egg. There were three of us and our food came out very fast and I was happy to find out that this place is entirely peanut free so peanut allergy friendly!! We ordered two sushi rolls, a California roll and a salmon and avocado roll. They were fine but looked more like grocery store quality sushi. I forgot to take a photo. Service was very attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was very clean and modern. We were super excited to see this place open up in O'Fallon. I will say the ambiance and decor feels very modern and bright. You can either order off the menu (ex. Sushi, appetizers) or build your own bowl. For the bowl option you can choose rice or noodles. There is an assortment of various veggies, proteins, sauces, and seasonings to choose from to build your bowl. Once you hand your tray to the chef, they'll cook it up for you. Our food was ready super quickly - we ordered two bowls and also decided to try the sushi (sexy lady roll). The quantity was pretty big so we had leftovers. It seems I'm in the minority here but I was not a fan of Yummy Bowl. My mother and I stopped in during the first week or two they were open. I thought it was dirty and the service was extremely slow. I didn't think the proteins looked fresh or good. I stuck to vegetables and tofu. If you like this kind of place I think Hu Hot in Creve Coeur is better. I would not return. read more

We tried yummy bowl for lunch on Saturday and it was delicious! The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean and the food area was also clean. We really enjoyed the Mongolian style so we can build our own bowls. The pricing for weekend lunch is a bit high, but lunch pricing during the week seemed more reasonable and dinner pricing made sense. I do think it is worth the splurge of a bottomless bowl and plan accordingly on how much you're willing and able to eat. But it was very good and we hope the quality and service stays the same so we can enjoy it for years to come. read more

The space was clean. We got a 6 pc crab rangoon as an appetizer - which were good, what you'd expect of a crab rangoon. My husband and I and our 6 year old each got a stir fry bowl. You go up to a buffet, and fill a bowl with whatever ingredients you want. They had a wide range of vegetables, meats, rice, noodles, and other additions. Then you get to choose your seasoning(s) (and choose your own amount), and same with sauce(s). The whole time we were filling our bowls, the staff kept encouraging us to fill them higher! Add more! They really made sure we got our money's worth. No sooner did we sit back down that our bowls were brought to our table, steaming hot and absolutely delicious. We actually got our bowls before even our appetizer! (We did arrive just before the rush, so it wasn't packed yet). Our 6 year old had so much fun picking out things to put in his bowl and kept raving about how good it was! And he's normally not one to try new things. This was my 3rd visit to Yummy Bowl, so obviously I think the food was decent. However my latest experience will have me question if I should ever return. I chose the dine-in option , was seated like normal, but was NEVER issued a server. No one greeted me, gave me a lil paper thing to fill out, No drink order, all while everyone around me was being served, mind you, there were only like 4 or 5 groups there at that time anyway. So I went to the front counter, told a guy who claimed to be the manager, hey.... I need the paper form to fill out, he handed me one, they made my food, but never received a drink, any yummy sauce, no napkins, NOTHIN, everyone just walked by and ignored me. Like I mentioned, the place was not crowded. After finishing my food a server approached me and said "ready to pay"? REALLY!! funny how they didnt ignore that part. I mentioned ALL of this to the "manager" .....no apology, no whoops my bad, just took my money and was like o well..... VERY unprofessional!
