This restaurant is difficult to spot as the signage is faded. Interior is plain, but clean and there is a full bar. Food is good with good value. I have enjoyed Kung Pao Chicken. Egg rolls, broccoli beef, shrimp and lobster sauce. Lunch specials are a special value , 11am to 3 pm, mon - Sat. Very pleased to have this restaurant locally. read more

This restaurant has really gone downhill. For many years it was the best Chinese food around, but they have gone through many cooks since, and the latest iteration is extremely sub-par. I spent $50 on take out for my family this evening, and everything was disgusting, to the point of being inedible. The spring rolls were greasy and had tasteless mush inside, with no fresh vegetables and the texture of dog food. They tasted of freezer burn. Crab rangoons had no seasoning and no crab, and even the cream cheese was flavorless. General Gao's chicken, a former standout at this restaurant, had maybe three actual pieces of chicken in the entire container. The majority of "chicken pieces" consisted of crispy pieces of fried batter with zero chicken inside. The broccoli which came with the dinner was half raw, half overcooked, watery, and smelled like garbage. Just putting it in my mouth and chewing made me gag, and it quickly was spit out. Rice noodles with vegetables were mostly a pile of starchy, stuck together noodles with very few actual vegetables - mostly little pieces of unidentifiable, overcooked vegetation. Everyone took bites of everything and we all had the same reaction - while a few small pieces of our initial bites were swallowed, most of the dinner was spit out and thrown away. We were very afraid of food poisoning or getting sick from either very old food or cross-contamination. I have been attempting to call the restaurant for 2 hours since picking up this food, and I either get a fast busy signal or someone picks up and then hangs up on me. I am furious to have spent so much money and we still have not had any dinner. We will never order food from there again. Be forewarned! read more

We had our early dinner at Yummy's the other day. Clean restaurant. Not many decorations, lots of people came for takeout, we ate inside. Went to the bar side and saw one worker was in their PJs, another was laying in a booth played on their phone . Hopefully they didn't roll out of bed and start working in a restaurant without showering. Anyway, we started with a pupu platter. Substituted one item for MORE beef teriyaki but got chicken teriyaki instead..the beef teriyaki was very good!told the waitress we got chicken teriyaki instead of more beef teriyaki, she just said chicken and went away. Rangoons didn't have much filling at all but what tiny amount they had was good. The wings were good, the boneless ribs were good, the rice was good. We wanted the lo mein and beef & broccoli to go but I ordered it with the meal forgetting to ask for it to be separate so I did try a lo mein noodle & piece of beef and a piece of broccoli. Asked them to box up everything and was stunned that such tiny boxes for beef & broccoli & lo mein since it wasn't eaten. The meal came to $70+ read more

Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, this roadside restaurant is far more than meets the eye. Yummy Garden certainly lives up to its delightful name, as they serve some of the best Chinese Food in Worcester County (and there are plenty of places offering competition). The spareribs are truly the absolute best I've ever had: tender, juicy, and delicious. While the lo mein falls short, everything else is absolutely first-rate. Also, the cocktails are strong and delicious. And strong. This place is highly recommended if you live in the area (Barre, Rutland, Hubbardston, Oakham, etc) for either quick takeout, or a night on the town. read more

I ordered enough for two or three because I like leftovers, so I tried several dishes. For the most part the food was good. Nothing to write home about, and a little on the expensive side, but I enjoyed it. But then I got to the moo shu, which I've had many times elsewhere. The pancakes that traditionally come with it were replaced with white deli wraps from the grocery store, and the dish itself tasted like straight charcoal. It was inexplicable. My favorite dish, and I had to throw it out. All in all, I might go back for a quick lunch once in a while (my work is nearby), but I'll never order that much again. Or the moo shu, sadly. read more

Over a decade of eating there, only once, just once we were a little disappointed. Great lunch menu, soup, egg roll or chicken wing, and you entree. Don't pass it up. You wouldn't expect to find good Chinese food this far from civilization, but fear not: if you are in the mood for some good old American-style Chinese, this is your place. Unless it's New Year's Eve. But I'll get back to that. This is, hands down, the easiest place to take the kids for dinner. The food comes out almost immediately. (They don't seem to understand that appetizers are supposed to come out before the entrees.) It is never crowded. It is bright and clean. And they have all the stuff you would expect. In particular, you *must* try the French Fries. I'm not kidding: they are the best fries you will ever find, anywhere. Our kids usually have sweet & sour chicken, which are basically deep-fried battered chicken tenders. Steamed vegetables, and fries. Did I mention the fries? My personal favorites are the orange chicken, and the chicken with broccoli. The peking ravioli is also good. Oh, and the fries. Did I mention the fries? They also have the standard selection of cocktails you would expect to find in a Chinese restaurant. My favorite is the Head Hunter. They make them incredibly strong, so be careful. They do a booming takeout business as well. And, well separated from the dining area, there is a dive bar where the locals hang out. My only caveat is that you must never, ever try to get takeout from here on New Year's Eve. We called our order in at 4pm, for 6:30 pickup. We arrived at 6:30 and there must have been 50 people there waiting for their food. One poor soul had called his order in at 10am for 4pm pickup, and HE WAS STILL THERE! But the crazy part is that while all these people are standing there, the phone is still ringing, and they are still taking orders, and they are telling people "15 minutes"! After waiting a while, we finally gave up and told the hostess to cancel our order. She thanked us! Fortunately, Northeast Pizza was open, and they saved the day. read more

I must say the crab ragoons and the french fries are dope. if you like chinese food and you like to have a good time check this place out. With two seperated dining areas as well as an outdoor patio and full-bar* they always have room. Most places in MA are typical when it comes to american-style chinese but the french fries here are fried in the same oil as everything else: making them the tastiest fries i have ever eaten - to this day . I think the service was great, they had my order put together very fast, it was hot and still pretty warm when I got home 20 minutes later. This was our first time ordering from here I was driving back backroads from Auburn and GPS had this as a nearby restaurant. I think the food was pretty good but the portions of the Generals Chicken was smaller than I was used to and it didn't come with any white rice, like most places do. read more

Yummy's has the best Chinese food I have ever had! We go here almost once a week and the whole family enjoys it. Their food is incredibly delicious. The people who work there are incredibly nice and welcoming. They always remember our orders, food and drink, and they are like friends. The food comes out very fast.
