Found Yummy Hawaiian on Yelp and decided to give it a try. A large dining room with plenty of tables. We were greeted by a friendly young lady as we approached the counter to order. Decided on two mini Katsu Chicken meals and a side of egg rolls. Both were delicious. Katsu was fresh, hot with a perfect fry. The egg rolls were also perfectly fried and tasty. A combination could easily be split between two people. Not from the area but will definitely stop by again should we pass through Hueneme. read more

I got the loco loco and the BBQ mix and both tasted great and portions was honestly still decent. The food was brought out piping and fresh. SERVICE: The servers and the girls at the registers were so nice and sweet. It was steady busy so there was like a 10 minute wait on the food but the food came out nice and hot. I thought it was going to burn through the container lol so the wait time was honestly not a big deal. AMBIANCE: The place was spacious with plenty of seatings. It can get loud depending on how busy the place can get. It was well lit and clean. No funky smell inside the building. I did not visit the restroom so I cannot give an opinion on that lol. They don't offer the daily specials anymore. I think they offer bowl specials, you just have to ask. The Mongolian part has been donzo for a long time now. There's indoor seating. Plenty of space to wait in line to order & plenty of space to wait for To-Go orders. I usually order To Go.... Catering trays are available. In the past, I've ordered Large Trays of Chicken Katsu & Fried Rice. And those were a hit especially with the kids. They give huge portions! So if you order a combo, you can either share or have leftovers. My favorite is the Seafood Mix. It comes w/ BBQ Chicken, Fried Fish & Fried Shrimp. Combos come w/ Rice & Macaroni Salad. The Mac Salad is simple but tastes so good! I sub veggies for rice, Bec I need low carb sometimes lol. They offer Family Meals, Bowls & Mini Meals are available too. Love Yummy! Been coming here for many years and the service is always friendly, and the food is always consistent. My favorite is the bbq chicken and Katsu chicken. We usually get the family meal but the combos are easier to share. This time we tried the loco moco and it was really good as well. Their rice is soft and moist which is the way I prefer. I've never personally been to this restaurant but my family has. They talk about how good the food is so the last two times we had a big family party I had placed catering order from them. Their catering menu and prices are reasonable! Chicken katsu is good, they give a great amount of katsu sauce for cater order. Spam masubi is good and they are ok cutting it in half for you so it's a bite size for parties! We also get their macaroni salad and a half pan is always a perfect size for our big parties. I love their macaroni salad. Also, it's easy calling in your order. They call you the day of just to confirm your order before they start making it. read more

Ordered the chicken combo, got a side of rice, macaroni salad, two teriyaki chicken thighs and a chicken katzu. If you are hungry, I would recommend it due to portion size and ok food. I came here just to see how the food was and the atmosphere was a but empty when we got here, but later on, more people started coming in. The workers here were great and even made surr that everything was what we ordered, even giving 3 sause packets. The food here is incredible, having great taste and a strong going for their sides; especially the macaroni salad that comes with the Chicken Combo. I tried the food with the sauces and they were great combos; I would even suggest going with the bbq sauce with the chicken as it soothe out the flavor of smokey and tender chicken. We'll get right into the meat of things. PROS: a ton of food, not too expensive, good sized menu, Workers seemed nice. CONS: Loco Moco was subpar, eggs on top should be soft boiled and they were over hard, gravy was standard can/jar gravy. Hamburger patty seemed preformed and frozen, lack of flavor. Chicken plate was just okay. Both came with mac salad on the side. Interior is dated and not comfortable. I think they could do better. They were busy on and off but certainly the quality of the food could be lifted up with just a few changes. I don't really care about the interior as much as long as the food is good. read more

The food is good; however, none of the cooks wear gloves or hairnets, especially considering that only one has very long hair that passes the shoulder.
