The restaurant is situated off the beaten path in the business district, but it's impossible to miss with the huge smoker sitting out front. It's a small restaurant with just a few tables and the ordering situation is a bit wonky (just one small window to order and pickup from). The staff was ultra-friendly and the food came out quick. As for the food, it was just okay... The BBQ itself wasn't bad, but it was definitely precut and kept in warmers (this would give a pit master down in TX a myocardial infarction as this is a huge "no no"); the sides were actually really good though. The total was about $30 for lunch, which to me was a bit high based on the quality of the BBQ. Overall... Not bad, not great, but not certainly TX BBQ.

That said, when I am in the mood, I love their tri tip sandwich with the spicy barbecue sauce, and dipping it into their beans just takes it to another level. It's so good that way. I also love driving by and seeing the giant chicken on the roof. And if you see smoke coming from the place while you're on the freeway, you already know it's time to pull over and grab a tri tip sandwich. Definitely one of those spots that keeps you coming back.

I was happy to see the non meat options they have available. I was a bit bummed out they didn't have their hummus but it's just another excuse for me to go back. I did end up getting their cauliflower tacos. My friend got their avocado fries and their devil eggs. I had never had devil eggs, and tried those and were so good. I wanted more but I had already had all my tacos. I did appreciate the owner coming to greet us and finding out I was pescatarian. He was nice, mentioned that even though they are a BBQ spot, they still want to value those customers that don't eat, and asked if there's anything I think of to let him know to see if they can add it to the menu.
