The candied pecans gave it a contrasting sugared crunch making it really addicting to eat, and the candied oranges rounded out the flavors. I hope they'll keep bringing this cookie back!

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference. If you prefer a more traditional cocoa-forward red velvet with tangy cream cheese frosting, just know that this one is quite different. Here's hoping they have similar things year round because I will definitely be back here. The Hot Cocoa Creme Brulee was so good I literally licked the bowl after. I also loved the Butterscotch Christmas Candy hubby got. He wasn't as impressed as I was so it might be good to try different things so here's hoping everything there tastes as good. There's almost always a line, but it moves fairly quickly, and honestly, it's part of the experience. You can watch the bakers adding the final, intricate touches to each dessert while you wait, which is really fun to see. They do offer a small selection of croissant sandwiches and specialty beverages, but for us, it's all about the desserts. From their signature creations to seasonal offerings, everything is visually stunning and (most of the time) absolutely delicious. That said, while most items are fresh and flavorful, we have experienced a few cakes that were a bit dry and seemed over baked. It's not the norm, but worth mentioning. Anyone else experience this? Yes, it's a little pricey--but it's Disney, and you're paying for both the quality and the experience. Overall, it's still one of our favorite stops every trip and well worth it if you're in the area.

The shop itself is much bigger than it looks…read morefrom the outside, with plenty of seating, and I really like that they have a small private conference room you can use for meetings. It's a thoughtful touch if you need to get some work done without disrupting everyone else trying to enjoy their coffee. The service has been quick every time I've stopped in, and the girls working there have always been genuinely friendly. One thing Lucky Goat does really well is their seasonal drinks. Right now they have a Snowflake Crunch Cold Brew that's absolutely delicious. It's one of those drinks you'll be disappointed to see disappear when the season changes. Is it the best cup of coffee I've ever had? No. But it's consistently good, it's a little cheaper than Starbucks, and I honestly think it tastes better too. When I'm in the area and need a caffeine fix, it's an easy choice. Definitely worth checking out.

*INITIAL REVIEW*…read more When it comes to The Lucky Goat Coffee (which I will shorthand simply to Lucky Goat for the remainder of this review), I will express some honesty, as in I never heard about this coffee shop which happens to be very popular in Metro Orlando. You'd think Lucky Goat will be a dime a dozen, but let me tell you these new breed of coffee shops are suprising me, incorporating their own character that makes them standout on their own, while paying honest respect to the coffee house classics. I am happy to review that Lucky Goat is another coffee shop that honors the aforementioned. It also helps they are one of the businesses/restaurants partaking in Too Good to Go. Though an address is provided, the Lucky Goat happens to be in this new strip mall that has other unique businesses that I suggest you all check out, too (Fatburger, Pop Up Bagels, Cava, etc.). Upon enterining Lucky Goat, you'll find their theme seems to be modern rural, a theme that happens to be popular with breakfast and brunch joints as well. This of long slabs of wood polished and protected to be used as tables, the greenery background often used for photography moments, and modern furniture highlighted by snipets of farm life. That's the Lucky Goat. However, the real treat here is the food, price of food, and service. Their coffee selections are a dime a dozen when it comes to the basics. Everyone from Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts to Dutch Bros. and 7 Brew serve a version of an expresso. It is their signature drinks that snap. Definitely liked their "Christmas in July" special, their snowflake iced coffee. Fantastic. Pair it with their unique baked goods such as their savory scones that have bacon, jalepenos, and cheese on them, and you'll have a unique breakfast experience that differs from others. And they still know how to make a good Flat White and London Fog if you ask, too. Finally, I want to stress the Lucky Goat is one of the restaurants part of the Too Good to Go app. If you are every lucky, you can get a bag of their baked goods for $4. One time, I got a couple of their delicious cupcakes and a sugar cookie. Another time, I had a bunch of their dessert bars. And at that price, it is a steal. Just take note the pickup is between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., in which the latter part of that time is just 30 minutes before they close. Ultimately, I am going to give Lucky Goat a well-deserved rating of four-out-of-five stars. They are so close to getting their fifth star for consistency, but I just need to try a couple of other things they have, just to make sure. Still, just by the two visits I had there, you can't go wrong enjoying a simple cup of coffee or whining and dining at the Lucky Goat.

Love the interior and how unique the vibe is. Got the chocolate chip, pistachio toffee, and peanut butter crunch except they gave us another pistachio one by mistake. They even clarified which peanut butter one I wanted and showed it to me and somehow still didn't put it in my box. So, that was disappointing as I was looking forward to trying that. They tasted really decadent and not as sweet as I thought. We took them home and the chocolate chip ones are amazing once you microwave them for a little bit and the chocolate chips melt and become gooey. Very rich but delicious.

We don't typically eat the cookies when we get them, we take them home and have them later that evening or the next day. Anyway, I opened it the next day and unfortunately, my pistachio toffee did not make it but rather a peanut butter cookie! I was so bummed out, no one is going to eat that in this house. Anyhow, I knocked two stars down because of the staff when we entered. The employees that were choosing the cookies seemed very upset and irritated, and there were no smiles out of them whatsoever. My cashier was wonderful, but just made for a strange experience since they are your first point of contact. I also noticed that the peanut butter cold brew was a little more on the sweeter side this time, so I'm not sure if the quality has dropped down or if someone just was in a rush when they made it. If this is the case, I probably won't be coming back here or maybe their focus has been going to their other restaurant six ravens. I have not been yet but will try it one day. I don't know if this was an off day, but the ambience definitely killed my vibe! Super bummed about the wrong cookie too! The receipt even had the correct ones. Oh well!
