Lucky Goat is a really nice addition to the SoDo area. The shop itself is much bigger than it looks from the outside, with plenty of seating, and I really like that they have a small private conference room you can use for meetings. It's a thoughtful touch if you need to get some work done without disrupting everyone else trying to enjoy their coffee. The service has been quick every time I've stopped in, and the girls working there have always been genuinely friendly. One thing Lucky Goat does really well is their seasonal drinks. Right now they have a Snowflake Crunch Cold Brew that's absolutely delicious. It's one of those drinks you'll be disappointed to see disappear when the season changes. Is it the best cup of coffee I've ever had? No. But it's consistently good, it's a little cheaper than Starbucks, and I honestly think it tastes better too. When I'm in the area and need a caffeine fix, it's an easy choice. Definitely worth checking out. read more

*INITIAL REVIEW* When it comes to The Lucky Goat Coffee (which I will shorthand simply to Lucky Goat for the remainder of this review), I will express some honesty, as in I never heard about this coffee shop which happens to be very popular in Metro Orlando. You'd think Lucky Goat will be a dime a dozen, but let me tell you these new breed of coffee shops are suprising me, incorporating their own character that makes them standout on their own, while paying honest respect to the coffee house classics. I am happy to review that Lucky Goat is another coffee shop that honors the aforementioned. It also helps they are one of the businesses/restaurants partaking in Too Good to Go. Though an address is provided, the Lucky Goat happens to be in this new strip mall that has other unique businesses that I suggest you all check out, too (Fatburger, Pop Up Bagels, Cava, etc.). Upon enterining Lucky Goat, you'll find their theme seems to be modern rural, a theme that happens to be popular with breakfast and brunch joints as well. This of long slabs of wood polished and protected to be used as tables, the greenery background often used for photography moments, and modern furniture highlighted by snipets of farm life. That's the Lucky Goat. However, the real treat here is the food, price of food, and service. Their coffee selections are a dime a dozen when it comes to the basics. Everyone from Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts to Dutch Bros. and 7 Brew serve a version of an expresso. It is their signature drinks that snap. Definitely liked their "Christmas in July" special, their snowflake iced coffee. Fantastic. Pair it with their unique baked goods such as their savory scones that have bacon, jalepenos, and cheese on them, and you'll have a unique breakfast experience that differs from others. And they still know how to make a good Flat White and London Fog if you ask, too. Finally, I want to stress the Lucky Goat is one of the restaurants part of the Too Good to Go app. If you are every lucky, you can get a bag of their baked goods for $4. One time, I got a couple of their delicious cupcakes and a sugar cookie. Another time, I had a bunch of their dessert bars. And at that price, it is a steal. Just take note the pickup is between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., in which the latter part of that time is just 30 minutes before they close. Ultimately, I am going to give Lucky Goat a well-deserved rating of four-out-of-five stars. They are so close to getting their fifth star for consistency, but I just need to try a couple of other things they have, just to make sure. I love coffee and this just added another spot to my coffee list. I am on the run usually so grabbing a quick coffee always is a great way to start the day. I love the quote in the picture "I started with a simile make great coffee" and they did just that. I end up getting the lucky goat with oatmilk which woke me right up. I should have added a bit more vanilla but I didn't want a coffee that was too sweet. The man at the register was really nice. He recommended me some options that I could try and I went with his pick which was the lucky goat. The place was very very clean and just an overall great spot to grab a quick coffee or sit down and get some work down. They have a lot of options on their menu so I will definitely be back to try another coffee. Also the service was very fast. I placed my order and after like 2 mins I got my order. I love fast service especially since I had to go into work I needed something quick and simple and they got the job done. I did go around 7ish which was when they open so the service was very quick for me. Overall I had a nice and quick experience so I will definitely be back to try other options! I rated it 4/5 only because the coffee I expected it to be a bit sweeter, it wasn't too sweet which I love but it also wasn't sweet at all if that makes sense but I still enjoyed the coffee. read more

I ordered an iced caramel latte with oat milk and it was so so creamy! Not excessively sweet either, it hit the spot. We also ordered a matcha lemonade and it was refreshing and tart. Lucky Goat is a hidden gem! This coffee shop has a modern interior, and the esthetics is similar to other popular cafes. It's spacious and clean. I love their focal point community table that is a pure wood edge design. There's a small private room where someone can work and plenty of seating. I'm not sure if the back room is open to the public or available for rental space, but it's a nice concept. The staff is super nice and greets you as you enter. They answered questions and were very helpful. The merchandise and branding is really adorable. There's a modest pastry case of everything from muffins to croissant and more. I got the latte with a cold foam topping. I like the smooth and bold taste of the coffee beans. It's not over roasted so there's no bitterness. It's definitely a place I'd come back to! It wasn't bustling at Lucky Goat, so I may have come at a slower time. I hope they get more foot traffic because when I find good coffee, I'll be come back. Even if it's all the way across town for me. There's plenty of parking in this strip mall at a busy intersection. You don't have to worry, there's a traffic light to the plaza. If you love coffee that tastes like coffee this is your place. This is not a Dutch bros, Dunkin or Cali coffee and I'm so happy for that! My cold brew tasted fresh, strong and bright. They sell it in gallons and I might have to go buy one instead of brewing my own. The space is very large, great for a gathering or even to work and study. The menu has some solid choices and it feels like an actual coffee shop selling legit coffee! I'm so happy we went inside. I had the cold brew with cream and an added espresso shot and I loved all of it! We also had the same drink but with pumpkin flavored cold brew, which wasn't strong pumpkin flavor but did finish with a hint of spice. Lucky Goat is a growing chain out of Tallahassee, and I think it's best described as: yes, this is definitely a coffee place. Okay, okay, that's a little flip, but what I mean is that it's not a "get in get out just business" place like Dunkin, a "coffee can be candy" place like Dutch Bros, or "coffee must be treated as a work of art" like Lineage. (I love both Dutch Bros and Lineage, for entirely different reasons.) They have solid coffee (the way reviewer Maria L. put it, "coffee that tastes like coffee," is right on target), a nice mix of drinks, and a pleasant enough atmosphere to sit around and chat or get work done in. It's similar in some ways to Orlando's own Foxtail, or to the way Starbucks was a quarter-century ago. While I live kind of far from here (and this is the closest Lucky Goat to me), next time I'm in the area I'm likely to pick up some beans to take home. read more

Horrible experience. I ordered a brown sugar caramel latte and it tasted like straight milk. I went back to the barista to ask if that's what was made and she said "idk is that what you ordered?" I said yeah and it doesn't taste like anything but milk. She got an attitude with me and then added a pump of brown sugar to it. It still tasted like straight milk so I threw it in the trash and went down the street to foxtail. Also tried one of the pastries and it was so greasy. Will not be back because the staff is rude and the coffee is trash. read more

I hate to say it, but I was very underwhelmed and pretty disappointed in my experience here. I didn't find the flavors or combinations to be anything special. I ordered an iced latte, orange blossom with lavender cold foam, one of their summer specials, and asked for it half sweet. It's like they forgot flavor altogether. I couldn't taste any orange blossom and there was absolutely no coffee flavor to it. All I tasted was watered down milk. I won't go out of my way again to come here. read more

As a local to the SODO/Conway area, I was excited to see a new coffee shop move into town. Been to Lucky Goat quite a few times now and I can definitely say I prefer it over some of the chains in the area that will not be named. My usual go to is an iced latte with oat milk and an extra shot of espresso. It's always made perfectly and tastes amazing. I've also had a few of the pastries here and I truly love the pistachio muffin. It's really good if you eat it warmed up in the shop. The inside of the coffee shop itself is very cute with ample seating and even an area for a private meeting space which is nice. Parking is easy here as well. The only downside is some of the staff isn't as friendly as other and trust me as someone who has worked in coffee shops/customer service for years, I get it but being grumpy shouldn't be the go to. Overall though, I love Lucky Goat and I will definitely be back! read more

I got the guava pastry and a vanilla iced latte with 3 shots of espresso. The guava pastry was delicious, and honestly I'd only go back for that. Despite ordering my latte with an extra half shot, the color was lighter than any normal latte I've had before. It tasted like I had a cup of milk. It was so disappointing because I used to be obsessed with the Lucky Goats in Tallahassee. The cashier and barista were very nice and helpful, so that was a plus. No complaints there. I didn't stay for long inside, but the general vibe inside is kinda cold...idk. The bright overhead lights and all the tables being right next to each other made the place feel like a school cafeteria. AKA not very inviting. I wouldn't sit and study there personally. read more

I'm waiting to review this myself. I live in the area and would love a good coffee spot. EVERYBODY that has tried this and told me has said the same thing. SLOW...even with nobody in there. This is a franchise and this one is family owned. As nice as that sounds you still need to know what you are doing. I've waited a couple months for them to work out the kinks. The ambiance is a cool aesthetic the vibe is there. I went early morning so maybe the service could have been better but we'll chalk it up to it being 7am and people are half asleep still. Now the important the coffee latte felt like a latte but the flavor wasn't there very feint taste. The texture and the smoothness of the coffee very good. The taste of bean wasn't my favorite but I did like the visuals. I would say 3/5 but I only tried it once probably may stop by and try several drink for a more accurate rating. read more
