So I'm not really a fan of Colombian food (I think it's bland, please do not come for me) but!!! I have always loved Colombian empanadas and pan de bono so I decided to give this bakery a try. First things first...I came here on a Saturday morning, there was a line, and it took a long time to get to me. The employees were kind of a mess/rude, there were a total of 3 people switching between serving food, cashiering and also behind the counter taking orders. (They should all have 1 person for each thing but that's just my opinion.) When I finally got my food, fresh pan de bonos and empanadas had just came out and they were some of THE BEST, I've ever had. They were seriously delicious. (Based on freshness and taste alone this would've been a 5 star review.) Unfortunately, I'm impatient and can't be waiting in lines so long and don't really like spending my money anywhere that has bad customer service, but if you're okay with underwhelming customer service and just want really good colombian baked goods, this is your spot! read more

After Starbucks ran out of their ham and cheese croissants, we've decided to try Colombian bakery and we will never go back to Starbucks ever again. Very yummy empanadas. Wished the ají was a tad bit spicier but it had good flavor. The cashier was very pleasant and apologetic for not having other flavors of empanadas but chicken available, which we didn't mind. It was very clean inside with quite a few booths filled with people having dinner. Would definitely go back for the empanadas! read more

Bread with Queso was sooooo delicious! Cookies weren't so good, they were hard and tasted like straight up flour! I thought they were more like a soft and chewy almond paste cookie at first before I bit into it but I definitely was wrong hahahahaha! Fruit bars are beyond delicious and taste like real fruit with yogurt! I absolutely love them! I picked the blackberry one but there definitely was a large variety that all looked so good! My iced coffee which I don't have a picture of was alright, just needed to be a little sweeter! I swung by here on my way home from work. I picked up 2 empanadas. Chicken and beef. A little on the greasy side. My son enjoyed his beef empanada. An order of chicharrones. It came with potatoes. Those were really good. I ordered a cake as well. It had a lot of cream and caramel on top. Caramel was good. I don't know what the cake was called. There was some serious language barrier there. I asked if they had any tres leches left. There was no more but the last recommended this other cake and I decided to give it a go. Other than language barrier it was ok. This place took me by surprise! I came here months ago and they didn't have the menu they have today. I tried it today and it was so DELICIOUS! I'm Hispanic and crave homemade food a lot of tje times. In hunters creek we're a bit limited but this place is perfect for that. Everything was fresh and again homemade. The food was good I'll give it a 4 star. Now when it comes to the bill they charge a Service Fee of 15.0% automatically and they don't tell you. When you pay at the register it asks for tip and since you don't know until after you pay and get the receipt, that they have added that charge and on top you tip 15%, 18% or 20%. I didn't like that they don't make you aware. For that reason I don't think we will be back. read more

Stopped in after Easter service to get a snack, since we knew that our ham would take a while to cook before we could eat. Ended up getting a lot more than we planned, because the pastries and coffee looked and smelled so good! Bought orejas (elephant ears) and they are very good, although a bit smaller than some other places. Also bought pandebono, pan de queso, and beef and chicken empanadas. All were very fresh, flavorful, and just as I remembered them growing up on Colombia! I wish this place were closer to our house, but perhaps it's best, as I would probably weigh a TON if it were nearby. Always helpful. So delicious. We don't speak Spanish and they are always so kind and willing to help us learn the right names for things. Their assortment is always fresh and delicious. The breakfasts are hot and full of flavor. The breads and pastries have the right amount of sweetness. The coffee/espresso is smooth and hot every time. The staff is very nice and always welcoming. This isn't always the case when we come in not being able to speak English. We found this place about a year ago and have been weekly customers since. Our Colombian friends say this is the best place around for authentic baked good and breakfast. We believe them!!! read more

My wife and I went in for breakfast. We told the attendant that we were Puerto Rican's and that I had a questions concerning their menu. Complaint #1: the menus don't show the prices on any of the items they offer. So that means that your total is a surprise before you pay. I wonder if they are allowed to do that. Complaint #2: I ordered a "tamal" to try it. I told them in a respectful manner (like I like to be treated) that I didn't like the tamal. I tried a small piece on both ends. When I asked for the check at the end the owner explained that they had to charge me 50% of the price ($10.40) because I had tasted the tamal. I was taken aback and explained that how was I supposed to know if liked it if I didn't try it first . I told her that it was the first time in my life that a restaurant was charging me half of the price for tasting a dish that they offer and I didn't like. Go figure. Maybe they try what they did to me on anybody that is not Colombian, who knows. JUST BE AWARE when you go to eat at COLOMBIAN BAKERY across from Gatorland. read more
