So I'm not really a fan of Colombian food (I think it's bland, please do not come for me) but!!! I have always loved Colombian empanadas and pan de bono so I decided to give this bakery a try. First things first...I came here on a Saturday morning, there was a line, and it took a long time to get to me. The employees were kind of a mess/rude, there were a total of 3 people switching between serving food, cashiering and also behind the counter taking orders. (They should all have 1 person for each thing but that's just my opinion.) When I finally got my food, fresh pan de bonos and empanadas had just came out and they were some of THE BEST, I've ever had. They were seriously delicious. (Based on freshness and taste alone this would've been a 5 star review.) Unfortunately, I'm impatient and can't be waiting in lines so long and don't really like spending my money anywhere that has bad customer service, but if you're okay with underwhelming customer service and just want really good colombian baked goods, this is your spot!

After Starbucks ran out of their ham and cheese croissants, we've decided to try Colombian bakery and we will never go back to Starbucks ever again. Best bakery and best coffee, best customer service. It's good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a great meat platter with rice and beans and chorizo. Also, the prices are great.

Very yummy empanadas. Wished the ají was a tad bit spicier but it had good flavor. The cashier was very pleasant and apologetic for not having other flavors of empanadas but chicken available, which we didn't mind. It was very clean inside with quite a few booths filled with people having dinner. Would definitely go back for the empanadas!

Bread with Queso was sooooo delicious! Cookies weren't so good, they were hard and tasted like straight up flour! I thought they were more like a soft and chewy almond paste cookie at first before I bit into it but I definitely was wrong hahahahaha! Fruit bars are beyond delicious and taste like real fruit with yogurt! I absolutely love them! I picked the blackberry one but there definitely was a large variety that all looked so good! My iced coffee which I don't have a picture of was alright, just needed to be a little sweeter! All in all great bakery, every place has its pros and cons, we can all use a little constructive criticism here and there because that's how we improve! Check them out!

I swung by here on my way home from work. I picked up 2 empanadas. Chicken and beef. A little on the greasy side. My son enjoyed his beef empanada. An order of chicharrones. It came with potatoes. Those were really good. I ordered a cake as well. It had a lot of cream and caramel on top. Caramel was good. I don't know what the cake was called. There was some serious language barrier there. I asked if they had any tres leches left. There was no more but the last recommended this other cake and I decided to give it a go. Other than language barrier it was ok. Will definitely pop by again for chicharrones again.

Yummy!!! I've never had Columbian food before coming here. Great stuff and you definitely can tell that it's an authentic place. Everything we had was spectacular. My favorite was the Guabana y queso pasteles. Wonderful introduction to Colombian cuisine.

This place took me by surprise! I came here months ago and they didn't have the menu they have today. I tried it today and it was so DELICIOUS! I'm Hispanic and crave homemade food a lot of tje times. In hunters creek we're a bit limited but this place is perfect for that. Everything was fresh and again homemade. The coffee was really good too! The service was fast. Definitely give it a try! Perfect for a Sunday morning.

Came for something specific and it must be excellent because it was all out. They had very little food in the case as well.

Either way, visiting this location really is the hack that you think it is. Since it is in the East End Market, you can simply waltz in with little to no line and order your delicious Gideon's treats. It is important to note that unfortunately they don't offer the cold brew here, however, as they don't have the facilities to make it like they do at Disney Springs. But, the cookies are just as delicious and they do always sell their limited edition cookies here in addition to their classics. It is also worth shopping around the market as well since there are many indulgences here ranging from sushi to cocktails to fun trinkets. It is best to visit at an off time though as parking can be a challenge.

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference.
