We decided to try Yummy Kabab for lunch today. The space for the restaurant is in an industrial warehouse district with lots of auto dismantling businesses.around. Parking is a little snug. The restaurant, itself, does a decent job to make the dining space inside have a little more character than a box. They added textured surfaces to a couple of the back walls. It looks like they really tried to make it nicer. We saw the lamb chops chicken plate for just under $26. They cook to order, so we grabbed a table and waited. Checked out the restroom and saw that it was clean and well-stocked with the essentials (TP, paper towels, soap.) . They cook items to order and ask for your preferred doneness of the meat. The food came. Quite a bit of food CV ame: 3 lamb chops, 3 pieces of chicken thigh, and one skewer of minced meat grilled to perfection. Hummus, 2 half rounds of pita bread, tomato cucumber salad, and slices of sweet onion. The meal was enough for the two of us. Not o early so, but just enough to take the hunger off. Perfect. Not open on weekends or after 5 during the week but if you can go during the week, you'll become a fan. I've been coming here for years and have NEVER been disappointed in a meal. Quality of food and service is impeccable. I wish they would open at least one weekend a month or extend their hours one or two days a week, because I would love to share with my family. That is my only complaint - they're not open long enough! The location is a bit dicey for parking but the restaurant is clean and well lit. They do cater to those who work in the area. We just ate in the restaurant this past week & food came out in a matter of minutes. So service is polite, quick & perfect. It was my first time to experience their chicken shawarma which was so good & tasty with red pickled onions & salad with tzatziki dressing on pita bread. Usually I order my favorite chicken thigh kebab plate but now this chicken shawarma option is up there too! My wife had their salmon kebab with their Greek salad without rice & potatoes. I've lived in Rancho my whole life and am sad i am just now trying this place! The food was easily a 10/10. I ordered the chicken thighs plate and the meat was so juicy and flavorful. We just noticed that the beef kebab wasn't that flavorful yet it was served fairly big for its size. The chicken was good to taste. Food is good for the price. The wait time might be a bit extended, but it's definitely worth it! Why? Because their food is exceptionally fresh, cooked to order rather than pre-prepared. The establishment is clean, although it does have a somewhat generic atmosphere without a distinctive style. I couldn't award a full 5-star rating mainly because it feels a tad overpriced - $15 for a salmon dish without drinks seems on the expensive side. We went here during lunch and ordered by phone after getting the flu shot. We ordered the beef Sharmwa plate and the beef steak kabob. The place is overall clean and modernized and tables are socially distanced. The menu has pictures and a price on there which is nice. We checked in and they let me and my wife get our free drinks. The plus is most places let us only have 1 drink per order, but they insisted we check in twice to get 2 free drinks and actually our order was ready for us to pick up once we arrived which we did in 15 minutes. Price overall was $31.00 which is not too bad. When we arrived at home, we ate our food and it was really good. Now was it better than Zankou Chicken back in the Los Angeles area or comparable, no, but it is a place I would come back and eat here. The beef was not dry and portions were right as I was able to finish everything and be full. I did enjoy the humus and the white sauce they gave us. I wish I had more, so next time I will request for more if can. I wish they gave my wife humus on her beef Steak Kabob plate as they filled it with onions. Since when we checked-in, Yelp now requires us to answer is the place is Covid-19 compliant and I would say yes. The owner explained the mask situation with us as he saw we were Yelp reviewers and say they got an exemption from the health department. I feel safe going to the place. The only con of the place is, it can be a tricky to get to and getting out of. Some tips is make sure you turn on Mechanical Road (Signal Light) and then make a left onto the first opening and follow the road onto the restaurant. If you miss Mechanical Road and on the side of the restaurant just make a right onto Elks Circl and a left onto Recycle Rd. Parking lot is tight and make sure you do not park onto the Uniform Cares parking spot. Getting out it is tight as well so drive carefully. read more
