Wow!! This place is now a staple in my takeout when I'm lazy and want really tasty Chinese food or sushi. The interior is really cute and reminds me of a few places I used to eat at while I was living in Asia. Their menu is extensive and while that can be a bad thing at some places..they actually make everything pretty on point here. They're very fast at cooking your order and the sashimi/sushi prices are way more affordable than most places and the quality isn't lacking either. My second time here they did forget to add a bag to my order but ended up giving me free Chinese donuts and tea on the house for the messup which was more than I expected. They have a website to order on as well which makes it even more convenient and hassle free. I used to like this place but my last experience with them was horrific. We ordered deliver today and when we went to unpack our food a half squished roach crawled out of the bag.. Let me say that again... A ROACH CRAWLED OUT OF THE BAG THEY DELIVERED OUR FOOD IN!!!! Wtf?! This has never happened to me in my life. This was the best Chinese food I've had in Charleston and I'm from New York. I went here on a whim and I'm sad they're closed during Covid 19 because we would be giving them soo much business. I have ordered many things on the menu now after one great lunch I had there a few months back. Since then I've ordered 3 times and different things from them and everything was spectacular. I lived in Orlando before moving here and one thing I missed the most about the north East was the Chinese food. So many let down places and take out. Perfect balance of flavors on this dish, not too spicy. CRAB RANGOON (8) = $4.95. You can taste the sweet crab in every bite. We've never eaten in the restaurant, so I can't comment on that. There are only two things we haven't fully enjoyed such as their egg foo young sauce and pad thai. Their pad thai noodles were over cooked and flavor wasn't great. I enjoy coming here because it's fast and convenient. I ordered takeout and they said it would be ready in 10 min! I got the general tso's chicken with pork fried, vegetables with garlic sauce, hot and sour soup, spring rolls, and California roll no crab. The general tso chicken was good. Very saucey with maybe a little too much reading on the chicken. I can see why some people said it was sweet. The vegetables in garlic sauce had good flavor and there was definitely a ton of sauce. Great for mixing it on rice. The hot and sour soup was good and not too spicy. There was chicken in it which surprised me cause I thought there was only tofu. There were a few huge pieces of seaweed in it so I had to chew at it a bit. The spring rolls were good hot, but I had to use my own sweet chili sauce for dipping since I was only given the duck sauce or whatever packets come with a take out order. The California roll was good. I can see how someone may have been bothered with the avocado since it had some dark spots to it. But it tasted fine to me. The only thing that threw me off was a sweet pickled taste I think was from the cucumber since I asked for no wasabi or crab. I paid in the restaurant and their internet wasn't working so my card wouldn't go through. I ended up waiting 8 min for 4 unsuccessful tries at the machine. Very good sushi sold here, it's a little Chinese restaurant in a small strip center, it's nice and clean and the service was great. I don't eat Chinese but the sushi is fresh and perfectly prepared. What a delightful hidden gem. You kind of feel like this is going to be a generic Chinese place when you come in, but after you look over the menu and order, you realize that they are a step above the average. The bad reviews on the sushi are spot-on. Other than that, it's a decent little neighborhood Chinese take out. You can eat in, at the few tables they have. Atmosphere is relaxed, and clean, but service is spotty. Don't expect drink refills, attentive service, or anything like that. The Chinese food is better than average. During the week for lunch, there are a few more misses than hits. They seem to have a different cook sometimes during the week. On the weekend, whoever is doing the cooking knows what they're doing.
