Chicken Plus located along Spring Garden Ave. near Yonge St. serves up tasty Korean fried chicken…read more Their menu consists of bone-in chicken, boneless chicken, tteokbokki, fries, as well as deep fried snacks (wings, squid, chicken gizzard). Like similar Korean fried chicken places, Chicken Plus has a variety of seasonings that you can choose from to make your chicken and fries more flavourful. The restaurant is available for dine in, take out, or on delivery apps. This review is based on their food as we ordered delivery through a delivery app. Food wise, my party and I ordered the following items: - Boneless snowing cheese chicken - Boneless soy garlic chicken - Original tteokbokki - Snowing cheese fries The food was delivered safely where the packaging was on point. The staff had wrapped the tteokobokki in another plastic bag to make sure nothing spilled. The chicken came in cardboard boxes that were easy to open, making the packaging effective and mess free. Food wise, the chicken flavours were delicious and the boneless chicken was crispy! The chicken itself was not dry and all the pieces were dark meat. Favourite flavour still has to be the snowing cheese flavour! THe tteokbokki was spicy but tolerable where the rice cakes were nice and chewy. Lastly, can't go wrong with the snowing cheese fries as well. Overall, a great place for Korean fried chicken in the Yonge and Sheppard area!

The fries come in different in different colours , with each representing a different flavour. My personal flavour were the yellow and orange colour chicken fries which was turmeric and tomato flavour. The spice level we picked was light and it was for perfect for me - someone who can't really handle much spice The thing I love the most about these chicken fries is it had just the right amount seasoning and crunch too it . Didn't feel really oily either. Price is a tad steep $ 10.05 for fries but since it's actually chicken , it seemed ok . I will go back to buy the actual chicken cup as that seems like a better value and I'll get to pick my fav flavour !

The colouring on the chicken fries is supposed to be natural from ground up ingredient powders. I'm not sure if the owner is taiwanese or mainlander but he was really friendly. Didn't have any tissues and also no washroom at inside this unit, but he went to his CAR and grabbed me some wet naps to clean my hands which was really kind of him. The cutlet itself was breaded well, crispy and the chicken was juicy. The price is kinda steep so if it would've been a lil cheaper I'd award 5 stars. I'm keen to try some chicken fries with cuttlefish or tomato powder on the batter next time. It's a relatively chill spot and I don't think it's as well known as it's competitors, Monga or Hot Star, but it holds its own imo.

Each container was of premium quality, but the standout was how well the fried chicken was packed. It was absolutely amazing! Here's what we got: Cheez Ball (6 pcs): A perfect appetizer. I tried them while they were still warm, and each piece of fried dough was filled with a savoury, gooey cheesy centre. These chewy goodness never got old, and I could have easily eaten the entire order myself. It was the perfect way to start the meal. Pelicana Fried Chicken Boneless Large (Half): These two-bite boneless chicken pieces had a thin, crispy, and well-seasoned batter. They were juicy inside, and each piece was perfectly cooked. I loved how every bite balanced texture and flavour. Pelicana Signature Chicken Boneless Large (Half): The other half of our order featured the same crispy chicken, but this time tossed in a sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy sauce. The sauce was generously applied, enhancing the already flavourful chicken. The balance of sauce, batter, and meat was spot on. Snow Fries: A great side to complement the chicken. The fries were crispy and topped with a sweet, cheesy powder. However, the seasoning wasn't evenly distributed, so the fries at the bottom didn't get much flavour. I ended up dipping them in the signature sauce, and it worked out perfectly. In terms of value, while the quality justified the price, I felt the portions could have been more generous. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would order again if I'm in the mood for a little splurge.

There was a lineup when I entered but it seemed to be moving quite well. Like a lot of places these days, they offer a special on Tuesdays (and Mondays) for a two piece chicken and fries. I added a small coleslaw and a drink. That's my dinner! It didn't take long to get my order. They kinda had all the food and boxes lined up and ready to go so it was more like an assembly job. That's great for fast service, not so great for getting fresh food. By the time it was my turn, they were out of chicken legs and substituted a wing. I didn't mind, especially since I got the thigh, as advertised. Unfortunately, although the flavour wasn't bad, it didn't taste very fresh. I kinda feel like they cooked a whole lot of chicken and were just filling orders quickly. Same for the fries. They were a bit soggy. After sitting at a table on the patio for a couple of minutes, I realized they forgot my coleslaw. I went back in and got it. No problem. Suppose I had driven away? Hmmm... If they did as I suspect, have all the food cooked and ready to be packaged, it's good for speedy service but not so great for food quality. If they didn't, then...

Consistency this joint has is in bland, unsalted tough fries. It was as if I was eating celery sticks, not fries. Chicken 1st time was mediocre, second time they served me old chicken for 1 day or two, which they re battered and re fried. You can tell when meat is not fresh, as it had a specific taste and smell. Gave some of the chicken to my dog. Didn't even finished the meal and had to run to the washroom, though there was nothing else in my stomach previously. 1st meal of the day. Would I go back to this place? You bet I won't!

I'll try to be descriptive! The restaurant is really pretty. I like the decor and clean look and feel. Servers are really nice and super attentive. They noticed we had a toddler and gave us options for cutlery and cups to make sure whatever they gave him was safe. I loved that! They also were able to easily accommodate a gluten free requirement. We got the grand appetizer platter to share which was really good. Lots of variety and the sauces that came with them were great. I particularly liked the fried calamari and the spring rolls. My family devoured the triangle tofu pieces. The shrimp skewers were also really nice. Well cooked and seasoned. The coconut soup was light and flavorful. It's actually a great portion in those square bowls. We ordered 3 pad thais for our huge table and there was not really much left over. Noodle texture was nice and chewy and the flavors were sweet, tangy, and savory. I kinda wish it was more noodles to meat, which I know is probably opposite of what most people like. But I really really like noodles and basically just want noodles hahaha! We also tried the stir fry glass noodles. I absolutely love glass noodles so I'm very biased to say I enjoyed it a lot. It was savory and a bit spicy. I liked all the veggies they mixed in there for more texture and taste. It has a really good stir fry flavor too. We also ordered the massumum curry which was really creamy and flavorful. I really enjoyed that one mixed with some rice or into my noodles. It's not too spicy, a bit nutty and sweet. I'm a huge fan. We went with chicken for almost everything and my only feedback really about that is that the chicken was really over cooked and dry in some dishes. The few dishes with shrimp were nicer and maybe next time I would try beef. Over all, would come back! Then maybe I can take photos before I eat. Haha!!
