My go to place whenever i crave for fried chicken burger. It is very similar to KFC fried chicken burger in China which is my favourite. The burger $9.49 is huge, fresh and tasty. I can also add extra tomato and lettuce, makes it even bigger and mouth full. AiTaiker is a small store (although quite clean and nice) more suitable for take out or single person quick meal. Service is fast and accurate. Will go back to try more of the items on the menu, they all look delicious.

My first visit here was a number of years back when they first opened. I remember wondering how long they would last as it didn't seem very busy and while this is considered fast food you don't get it very fast (they do not have food precooked warming under heat lamps). There are a handful of tables to eat in but takeout is the preferred option. Everything on the menu is deep fried. Monster flattened chicken in different flavours, deep fried tofu, squid rings, chicken bento boxes (options of popcorn chicken or chicken tenders). They have a daily special menu (like Popeyes) where everyday is a different menu item at a daily special price. We ordered the popcorn chicken bento box (10 minute wait) and the daily special. Unfortunately they had just run out the daily special and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait so we passed on it. Portion of the bento box is incredibly generous, in addition to the popcorn chicken and rice you also get corn and broccoli. Chicken was tender and moist. Bento box was $11.99 and if you pay in cash you get 10% off. Really good deal. If price is no issue you can always use one of the food apps to order ahead and then pick up but you won't be paying $11.99 -10% for paying in cash. The alternative is to pop in, order and then wander over to the supermarket in the same strip mall and then come back to pick up, you can grab a seat and stare at your phone until your order is called, which is something most people were doing.

We ordered the VOLCANO CHEESE CHICKEN combo that came with fries and a pineapple drink. We just couldn't leave without trying the cheese pull! We also had the SQUID BALLS and SQUID TENTACLES. They were INKREDIBLE!

Nice Taiwanese fried chicken fresh from the fryer. Wish they'll open for dine in again as the drive home smelling the chicken was tortuous haha We got 2 of the chicken cutlets combo, one original and one cheesy. The cheesy cutlet with black pepper season was by far the better one, as the black pepper adds a nice bit of spice while the lava cheese inside was so tasty! We also got the snack sampler which was a giant box of popcorn chicken, fried fish cake, and calamari. This is also very good as well and it's great to share some with friends over some cold drinks

Found this gem and absolutely love it. The boys come here when they can. The food is always fresh, popcorn chicken obviously my favourite. The client service is fantastic. We love that we can call ahead and pick up the order hot !

Everything tastes better when deep fried! We ordered a appetizer platter to share and love the deep fried squid. Lightly breaded with salt and pepper seasoning. I will skip the pineapple drink as it was really watered. It is ok to be light and refreshing but there was just tasteless. Extra star for open-mindedness of social media and quick in addressing issues. This is great customer service.

So York Region finally has it's own Taiwanese Fried Chicken place. It seems like you can't walk 110 meters downtown with out walking pass one. We got a pretty good one!! Location: At Rutherford and Bathurst on the Richmond Hill Vaughan border. It's hidden in the plaza with TIm Hortons. Parking: the Suburbs so you know, lots and lots. Decor: It's a smaller place but there's still 7 or 8 two tops. You can push tables together if there's 4 or 6 of you. It's still new and had a wall of big windows that face south so it's nice and bright and shiny . It's mostly meant for take out i think it's nice for a take out place. Food: Taiwanese fried chicken place - so fried chicken. The flattened chicken breasts that you get with different seasonings, light and fluffy looking battered fried chicken, calamari, tofu, fries!. I've heard that the fried chicken sandwich is fantastic. i tried the New Orleans Chicken Sandwich, Fries, deep fried tofu and strawberry juice. The chicken was grilled! So there is a healthier option. It was thick and moist and juicy, not stringy and dry. woo. The sauce wasn't spicy. It was described to me as a bit sweet, but I didn't think so. The tofu was good. It wasn't super crispy more soft, but it is sauced (mmmm the sauce) but I think that was how it was supposed to be. The fries were the cooked but soft ones that I looooooove so much. The strawberry juice was the only thing i might not get again. It was just ok - a bit watered down tasting but someone there said the pineapple juice was really good! Staff: Really nice. they easily answered all my questions! I would definitely go back. the food came quick and tasted good and didn't cost a lot!

New taiwanese fried chicken place! Visited on a Sunday and it was really quiet. Got a bit of everything to really try them out. What we ordered: Popcorn chicken combo Crispy tender combo Honey crispy chicken Volcano cheese chicken Deep fried corn Fried squid balls Fried tofu Strawberry drink Pineapple drink So the rice combos dont come with a drink. But u can make the crispy chicken a combo and itll come with fries (non substitutable) and a drink. However, both the strawberry and pineapple drinks tasted EXTREMELY watered down. Ure better off getting a can of pop. The rice in the rice combos were mushy and too wet. The broccoli and corn are cold. As for the crispy chickens, you can choose one of the 4 flavours (seaweed, hot chilli, salt and pepper and black pepper) on whichever chicken u chose. Read good reviews on the honey crispy chicken, so i gave it a try. The flavours were there, but it wasnt as juicy as people were saying and theres no honey flavour at all. The squid balls, fried corn and tofu were delicious. They had a promo going on for fried tofu but i wasnt made aware of it at all but i overheard the cashier mentioning it to other customers. Overall, there wasnt anything outstanding about this place whether its the service or the food. Dont think ill be visiting again.

Happy New Year's everyone! 2021 has been a wild one and it's time to move forward to 2022 with my first post of this year! I've been to Taiwan a few years back and I've been craving taiwanese snacks, so when I discovered them. I was really blown away because it really hit the spot! A few items that I got were.... Crispy chicken burger - such a good burger! They use a brioche bun so it's extra fluffy and soft. As a for the chicken... it's so crispy and cooked perfectly. Taiker honey Crispy chicken (w/seaweed) - this was honestly my favourite snack! Again the chicken was perfectly cooked - crispy and juicy Taiwan is crispy tenders - if there's chicken tenders anywhere I need to get it! It did not disappoint Fried tofu - you don't even need sauce for this, it's so bye itself! Deep fried squid balls - usually squid balls are hard but this one's soft which is what I love about it. Way to go and keep it up

My absolute favourite place for Taiwanese popcorn chicken in the area. AiTaiker has always been consistently crispy, hot, and flavourful. The food always takes the same amount of time and I have never had to wait long. I've been here dozens of times and have found my two go-to items- the popcorn chicken and the crispy chicken sandwich. Popcorn chicken - what more can I say about it, it's simply the best I've been able to find in the area. I've found overall it to be seasoned heavily with salt + pepper but has the perfect crunch and optimal size. It's always made with dark meat so it is juicy every time. The honey option is also good, but one I wouldn't recommend for the reason that it isn't distributed evenly and also diminishes the *crunchiness* of the plain fried batter. Compared to Papa Chang's, this wins out by all metrics. The fried chicken sandwich - although nothing fancy or special has not upset me at all over the years. (comparing this to other fast food chains which offer chicken sandwiches like Popeyes and KFC). The batter is similar to what you would find at other chains (not the tapioca/sweet potato starch they use for their Taiwanese fried chicken) and the meat is always juicy. I have to note that it is quite basic but is done well.

Fried squid tentacles - something I'd come back for!

This place is within a plaza that has plenty of parking and easy to access overall. The store itself is small, but the decor is so cute and space is always clean when I visit. The cashier has been the same person the couple times I've visited and she's extremely friendly. I also appreciate her efforts on helping customers navigate through their menu! Polite as well. I've tried various menu items, including their Taiwanese popcorn chicken Bento, volcano cheese chicken, New Orleans chicken burger fries, pineapple juice, and fried squid tentacles. Out of these, the winners are definitely the volcano cheese chicken (which they let you know is a 20 min wait since they make it fresh and requires some time to cool down if you want to enjoy it in house) and the fried squid tentacles (which were so perfectly batters and seasoned, nice and light).

    Crispy chicken burger meal (11.99)

Came by for a Sunday lunch after finding it as a new place in the area. Ordered: Crispy chicken burger meal (11.99) with fries & soft drink (+) Generous serving of chicken Fries were nicely done, not salty (-) The chicken was a bit dry and seemed mainly batter rather than chicken Other notes: - friend ordered volcano chicken and took much longer - not an issue but just to note if you plan to order that - credit accepted Decent value, but considering the main attraction is the chicken it leaves something to be desired.

Heard my friends talking about this restaurant that they couldn't stop from going there. So I wanted to give it a try personally to see if it's really that good. Basically, this restaurant is famous of Taiwanese fried chicken. I ordered items #1 Taiker Honey Crispy Chicken and #4 Volcano Cheese Chicken. After I have chosen my preferences, I was still given an option for the seasoning, I chose salt for item no. 1 and seaweed for item #4. I went to the restaurant at about noon and so it fell on the lunch hour special from 12:00 to 3:00. There would be a can of pop that came with each order without additional charge. Chickens were cooked upon order. I was informed that it would take longer for them to prepare for the Volcano Cheese Chicken and so I waited patiently. The order came out fresh and hot. First bite led me to feel that I was dying in heaven. The batter was well seasoned with flavour. One could hardly stop from biting on it. Besides, the meat was soooo tender. It seems to me the the outer skin of the volcano cheese chicken was more dryer than the regular one and the aroma of cheese did standout when I ate the volcano cheese. The fried chickens from this restaurant were different from the ones in any other restaurant. Now I under why did my friends could not stop mentioning about the fried chickens here.

Also, it's just dark meat so that is a plus if you dislike dry fried chicken breast. Gravy is flavourful and their peach mango pie is always yummy too. What I appreciate is that their spicy chicken is actually spicy! When they had the Korean BBQ limited sauce that was awesome too. Kinda sad they didn't keep that menu. Tip: Earn Jollibee rewards with every purchase…read more I have a mini goal to visit every Jollibee in the greater Toronto area. I have known about this Jollibee location at Promenade Mall for a while. I finally got around to visiting it on Monday after work, which completed my visiting Jollibee locations in the suburbs of Toronto. I like this Jollibee. It's by mall entrance 2. You have access to this eatery from the mall or through its own entrance when the mall is closed. Most Jollibee restaurants have washrooms with a numeric code that you need to use to unlock it. This one does not have this code, which is nice to not bug staff for the special code. I used the washroom before I left. It was decent. You press a button to lock the door and press the larger button to unlock it. I spent a bit of time at the mall. I worked up an appetite and headed over to Jollibee for a bite to eat. It's across from Firehouse Subs, which I'd like to visit someday. I walked through the mall entrance to get here. The downside to looking at the menu is that there's so much that I want. My usual is often not listed right off the bat. I have to wait for the screen to change to see it. I got a nice man at the counter who greeted me and took my order: - Two-piece burger steak - Adobo rice - Peach mango pie - Pineapple quencher I got my Jollibee rewards QR code scanned. I then paid with a credit card. I tapped, but didn't see that the credit card had prompted me for my PIN. It was incredibly random! I got my pineapple quencher. I love this drink so much. It is sweet. I'm glad that I don't have it regularly, so it ends up being a treat. The pineapple is so good. It's also icy cold. I got a buzzer to let me know when my food would be ready. I found a table and sat there, sipping my drink and people-watching. My order was number 19. The buzzer had 19 on in. It buzzed and lit up like I had won the lottery. It was kind of true. I was fetching my winnings in the form of dinner. I thanked another man at the counter who had my order nicely presented on a tray. I then headed back to my table to eat. I find the two-piece burger steak to be comforting. It's so good with sliced mushrooms and gravy. Adobo rice was new, so I went for it. It was flavourful. I hope it stays on the menu, as it's a fancy step up from the plain steamed rice! I mixed the adobo rice with the mushroom gravy. It was fantastic! I capped my meal off with a peach mango pie. It was excellent. There was plenty of fruit filling. The pie was crispy and hot. Yum! Before I left, I filled my empty cup with Diet Pepsi. I still don't know if I should be doing this fill-up, but I run out of pineapple quencher quickly that I genuinely need another drink. Maybe I need to suggest a larger quencher cup size, but I'd be on a massive sugar high than I already have with the current cup size. I'm glad that I can finally say that I've been here. Staff were helpful and great. The food and drink were yummy. I'll be back soon. (224)

I got a whole dr. pepperoni slice with extra cheese and it came piping hot, cooked perfectly and so delicious. Also got slices of their spicy vodka which is my favourite and a full 5/5 for me. Frank's best is a great change in flavour with goat cheese, mozz, caramelized onions, rosemary, organic honey and a sesame crust. Don't forget to also get their spicy creamy garlic dip and mix it well! Overall, I love this spot and think their pizzas are so good! Their crusts are delicious as well, especially the sesame crust.

Pizzas come in 12 (4 slices) and 16 inch (8 slices). There is also a square pizza called a Tavern Cut. Pizza is on the more expensive side. What was ordered: 16 inch Fred's Best - white pizza with béchamel sauce, goat cheese, caramelized onions with a sesame coated crust attached with honey 12 inch Dr.Pepperoni - fresh tomato sauce with generous topping of pepperoni 1 spicy creamy garlic dip The verdict? The crust was decent and pizzas are thin. We did find both pizzas a little too greasy for our preference. The flavour of Fred's Best was a combination of sweet from the honey and caramelized onions and salty from the cheese. Dr. Pepperoni was better with spicy kick from the chunks of tomatoes and pepperoni. Salty is the other descriptor I would use. Would we order again? Maybe. At these prices I would consider this special occasion pizza!
