My partner and I shared yang nyuem chicken with rose dubokki. It was very delicious as the chicken was hot and well coated with the spicy sauce. Rose dukbokki was just as flavourful as well, I was a big fan of the long rice cakes they used which is not really seen at other places that sell the same dish. Dipping the chicken into the dukbokki sauce was definitely a bonus.

I have heard of this place long time ago, and I'm so glad that we tried yesterday. Hands down for this Korean Fried Chicken!! The store itself is pretty small, so it has 5 tables at most, mainly for takeout. We ordered both small snowing cheese boneless chicken and Yang-nyuem bone-in chicken. Boneless is $1 more than the bone-in, we ordered boneless mainly for the boys. It took about 15mins to get the order ready and the surprise comes.. they gave us a box of fries for the kids and it's legitimately HUGE for free stuff and with generously different toppings - it's very flavorful. I know it might be hard to see from the picture , cause I just expected regular McDonald fries but when you eat it, you can tell they added cheese, Japanese style seaweed seasoning, etc. I can't stop eating it, it's so good. They also gave us a can of Coke, and 2 pickled radish in a dip sauce container. Kids are so happy and they love the chicken and the fries. We will definitely come back again! Please open a location in north Markham!!!!

Delicious Korean fried chicken. Portions were big and tasted good. Staff were also very friendly.

Small but bustling for a weeknight dinner! I'm a sucker for rose sauce so I wanted to swim in the rose tteokbokki (rice cake). They had a good chew but kinda random that they were shaped more like noodles. The snowing cheese boneless chicken was a good sharing size, juicy, and slightly sweet. Staff were nice and there's a 10% cash discount.

Excellent food quality- I've frequented this restaurant on multiple occasions and the quality and diversity of the food served never fails to astound me. The chicken platters have so many different flavours but I would say it is lacking a bit in the savoury selection - lots of sweet and tangy choices though. Something to definitely try would be the korean sodas that they have at this location - the melon and plum sodas are my favourite! Service was good- the kitchen had made extra cheese dusted fries and gave them to us free of charge. Unfortunately our server wasn't very attentive of our table so I had to go up to get what I needed. Atmosphere was cozy but a little cramped - we had a party of five people but their tables typically seated four and there wasn't a lot of room to pull up a chair. Overall, good place with great food but the place is a little small to my liking.

Went to the soft opening this weekend. First impressions are pretty good. Got the saucy sweet and sour chicken in a waffle bowl. Decently crispy. With the sauce, I also wanted it to be on rice instead of a waffle bowl. Don't get me wrong, the waffle bowl was really good. But those bowls would be great for ice cream. It's thin and crispy but doesn't soak up the sauce. Anyways can't wait to come back and see what else they have when they officially launch.

Decided to try this place again because they had discounts on their new flavours. I always find their sweet/spicy sauce is a little too spicy for me compared to other kfc places. Adding the white sauce on top is pretty good but not my favourite. I think it was also supposed to come with rice cakes but it came with wedges instead which I found random. I got the bone in version of the honey brown chicken too and liked it way better. The honey sauce was nice and sweet and found the chicken better than the boneless. Would definitely recommend the honey one. The sizes for small lasted more than one meal.

I visited during the soft opening and the line up was insane an hour before it opened. It was a really good deal for $5 you get popcorn chicken in a waffle bowl. We enjoyed both styles (crispy and yang-nyuem - tasted very similar to Catonese sweet and sour pork). The customer service was good. They were friendly and worked very quickly to get everyone their order.

I got their yang-nyeom korean fried chicken, tteokbokki and french fries! The yang-nyeom flavour was very good, you can never go wrong with the classic sweet and spicy sauce! They also have a hell spicy flavour and I heard that one is REALLY spicy . Their tteokbokki was one of the best I've had! The rice cakes were kinda like rice cake noodles which I liked and it was just the right amount of spice! Wish there were more fish cake though. French fries were just average, don't think I'd get again because they were $7...

Those night snack cravings hit and ChickenPlus satisfied crispy chicken yet still super juicy and tender even enough for 2! This was one of those car meals so we didn't want anything too saucy and ended up ordering their snowing cheese flavour this was still super flavourful but I def wanna try their yangnyeom flavour next time

Chicken Plus, a hugely popular South Korean restaurant chain, has opened up in Scarborough in the major dining plaza north of Finch and Midland. I happened to be in line at a nearby establishment and saw the long line to get into Chicken Plus. Curious, I looked them up online and saw that BlogTO had recently posted about their soft opening weekend and so I decided to check them out. They have social distancing measures in place and hand sanitizer available at the counter. During soft opening weekend they are offering a $4.99 (with cash payment) special of popcorn chicken in your choice of one of two flavours in a waffle bowl. What an amazing deal! You have your choice of original crispy, or yang-nyuem, a sweet/sour/spicy sauce. There is a limit of one special per person. My food came out quickly, virtually immediately after I placed my order for the yang-nyuem flavour. The chicken was nicely laid out in the waffle cup, which was packaged in a Styrofoam container for takeout. There was a mini gherkin pickle as well that came with the order. There were about 10-12 pieces boneless chicken bites, which were crispy and flavorful. Each piece was coated with a good amount of the yang-nyuem sauce. The sauce is sweet, a little sour, and mildly spicy -- akin to Thai chili sauce level of spicy. If you follow Chicken Plus on Instagram, you can get a free can of Coke with your purchase. I am excited to try their topokki, pizza, and other options they have once they offer their full menu.

Came to try out korean fried chicken. Ordered the crispy fried and yangnyeum with bone in. Very tasty and moist. I like how the yangnyeum chicken was coated in the sauce yet crispy and not soggy. It wasn't overly coated as well. Each order comes with a side of radish cubes, which other fried chicken restaurants don't provide. Overall, very impressed. Restaurant was clean, good food collecting system as they had a number on the bill and a digital call system where you can pick up the chicken when it is done. Price is comparable to other korean fried chicken restaurants. Would definitely come back to try other flavours.

I saw this on a blogto article "Toronto's first location of famous Korean fried chicken chain is now open" We came around 2:50pm and it was sold out and they told us to come back at 5:00pm. Around 4:26pm, the lineup started. Soft opening event $4.99 cash popcorn chicken. The crispy popcorn chicken was so juicy and I like the flavour and spice. I prefer the crispy one more because I like dry rub and it didn't taste oily at all. It's cute how they serve it on a waffle bowl. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the waffle bowl but love the presentation. Friendly service. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu!

The fries come in different in different colours , with each representing a different flavour. My personal flavour were the yellow and orange colour chicken fries which was turmeric and tomato flavour. The spice level we picked was light and it was for perfect for me - someone who can't really handle much spice The thing I love the most about these chicken fries is it had just the right amount seasoning and crunch too it . Didn't feel really oily either. Price is a tad steep $ 10.05 for fries but since it's actually chicken , it seemed ok . The colouring on the chicken fries is supposed to be natural from ground up ingredient powders. I'm not sure if the owner is taiwanese or mainlander but he was really friendly. Didn't have any tissues and also no washroom at inside this unit, but he went to his CAR and grabbed me some wet naps to clean my hands which was really kind of him. The cutlet itself was breaded well, crispy and the chicken was juicy. The price is kinda steep so if it would've been a lil cheaper I'd award 5 stars. I'm keen to try some chicken fries with cuttlefish or tomato powder on the batter next time. It's a relatively chill spot and I don't think it's as well known as it's competitors, Monga or Hot Star, but it holds its own imo.

We walked into a busy, energetic space that stays lively throughout the day, with a steady flow of customers moving through the line. The dining room is casual and functional, the kind of place where the focus stays on the food rather than the atmosphere, and the bright, cheerful decor adds to the brand's playful identity. The Chickenjoy is easily the star of the menu. We ordered a few pieces and found the chicken had a crispy, well-seasoned coating while staying juicy inside, and it was even better dipped in the savory gravy that comes on the side. The spicy version added a noticeable kick without overpowering the chicken itself, and the balance of seasoning and heat made it a satisfying choice. The Peach Mango Pie is another must-order, with its flaky crust and warm, fruity filling that makes for one of the best fast food desserts around, and we found ourselves wishing we had ordered a second one. The Jolly Spaghetti is uniquely Filipino, featuring a sweet tomato sauce with sliced hot dogs and cheese, and while it is definitely different from traditional Italian pasta, it is worth trying if you want the full Jollibee experience. Other popular choices like the palabok and burger steak round out the menu with more Filipino-inspired flavors, giving you options beyond the standard fried chicken meal. The restaurant stays busy throughout the day, so waits during peak hours are common, but the staff generally keep orders moving as quickly as possible. Service is friendly, and despite the crowds, the dining room is usually kept clean and organized. The team handles the steady flow efficiently, and the turnover is fast enough that the wait does not feel excessive. Prices have increased over the years, making it less of a bargain than it once was, but the portions are satisfying and the food is consistently fresh. Jollibee remains one of the best fast food options if you are craving fried chicken with something a little different. Between the crispy Chickenjoy, iconic Peach Mango Pie, and unique Filipino menu, it is a place that is easy to recommend whether you are a longtime fan or visiting for the first time, offering a meal that feels both familiar and distinct, and a taste of Filipino fast food culture that stands out from the usual chains.

I added a small coleslaw and a drink. That's my dinner! It didn't take long to get my order. They kinda had all the food and boxes lined up and ready to go so it was more like an assembly job. That's great for fast service, not so great for getting fresh food. By the time it was my turn, they were out of chicken legs and substituted a wing.
