I have been a type II diabetic for 10 years now. I've been on insulin for the past 5 years, but last summer, my diabetes went spiraling out of control, so I was referred to an Endocrinologist. I chose Dr. Salomone because she was associated with Baptist Hospital and also because she of her office location. I am so happy she's the doctor I chose. She is absolutely wonderful! She has one of the best bedside manners I have ever seen. When she walks in the room, it's like I'm the only patient that exists. She takes the time to listen to me and actually hears what I'm telling her. She explains things in detail to me and in ways I can understand. She is also open to any and all questions I have and never rushes me. I know that she genuinely cares for my well-being and that really means a lot. I feel 100% comfortable putting my full trust in her! It took a few times seeing her before we got my diabetes back under total control because she tried me on a couple of oral medications to go along with my insulin (which I ended up being allergic too, unfortunately). Then she had to adjust my insulin to the right levels. I am happy to say that since I began seeing her, my A1C has been below 7.0. Before seeing her, it was always over 8.0. I have definitely seen results with her! The office is very clean and modern. The waiting area has comfortable seating and is very esthetically pleasing. It makes being in a doctor's office not so bad. =) The staff here are also wonderful. I have yet to encounter one person who didn't have a smile on their face. The front office staff... the assistants... all of them just wonderful. I generally hate to think about going to a doctor's appointment. But I never seem to mind coming here. If you need an Endocrinologist, I cannot recommend Dr. Leslie Salomone highly enough! I know you will not be disappointed with your choice to see her!

She does not take my insurance but I was willing to pay 100% out of pocket because I did not want to be limited by my PPO or have to visit someone that did not have the right speciality. I was told they won't take anyone whose insurance they don't take and won't allow me to pay out of pocket, because I actually have insurance. It's sad to see yet another doctor perpetuating the problems with our healthcare system, and putting business over the welfare of their (would be) patients.

Whenever my labs showed concerning results, she would blame the issues on medication or tell me I had anxiety. Even after I stopped taking all medications for months, my concerns were still dismissed. Over time, my symptoms and conditions worsened. I eventually found another endocrinologist who actually listened to me and took my concerns seriously. After reviewing my labs and ordering additional testing, he confirmed that my results pointed to the issue I had been concerned about for years. When I brought those results back to this doctor, she still dismissed them. Instead of acknowledging my concerns, she accepted payment for the final appointment and then told me she would no longer see me because I had found another doctor. I feel like I wasted years trying to get help, only to be made to feel like I was imagining things. I suffered for a long time while trying to figure out what was wrong on my own. I began seeing Dr. Constant last year with the recommendation by a friend. His office is located in…read morethe Carr building off of Executive Center Drive nearby Colonial and Maguire. While the office itself is fairly large and on both occasions I've seen a few folks waiting, patients are brought back fairly quickly. The nurse I've seen twice is personable yet professional. Dr. Constant is incredibly thorough, organized and has a great "bed-side manner. He made knowledge pertaining to my thyroid highly accessible to me without ever being condescending. While he is working with a patient, he has someone in the exam room transcribing for him. I believe this allows him to spend more time addressing patient concerns as opposed to documenting. I would highly recommend Dr. Constant for care of your endocrine system.

I would have loved to have come in but I never got notified about this place being open. I came back recently due to their REFUSAL to refill my insulin. They refused to fill my insulin to force me to come in when they hadn't attempted to reschedule my appointment when they reopened! When they refused to refill my insulin I went to make an appointment and it was schedule 7 weeks later. I had to buy my insulin on the open market even though I had health insurance. I was most frustrated because if they had simply told me they were open I would have been in. Do they forget that nearly everyone has phones? They certainly knew I had a phone due to their prior pandemic reminders, and their text message asking me to confirm my appointment earlier today. Did something happen to create an atmosphere of apathy here? Is there some new research that says denying diabetics insulin is helpful? Is denying diabetics insulin the most efficient way to contact their patients? If you're a diabetic with a predictable life then this might be the place for you. But if your life is chaotic I would recommend going to doctor who swore an oath to do no harm. They get two stars because they've done good work in the past.
