He did a fantastic job as always and when I left, my way too long hair was trimmed to a manageable and stylish length for the summer. I love Salon Elle. It's an old house that has been converted into a salon and the layout is just gorgeous. There is plenty of natural light that flows into the place and everything is clean and well organized. That means some hair in the back should be cut a little above the rest, so that it's not so thick. Well, instead I got angles (face framing, very short around the face) and SHORT layers. I didn't know why for months on end why I felt uncomfortable wearing my hair completely down. I kept wearing the sides up, because in every photo of myself, it looked like I had a short bowl cut with long strings coming down!! It was a very big year for me, and after one event's photos were ruined because of this haircut, I decided to switch salons. The hairdresser there said he couldn't believe how short they had been cutting the back. He showed me with a mirror, and my "long layers" were at eye level!!
