It was uncalled for and rude to scream like that even while the male employee sitting by the scanner watched as my husband scanned 4 different cards and told her he seen us scan in. This happened on the same day that my daughter and I just walked out of the restroom and a teenaged guy came walking into the women's locker room like he belonged there (June 16 or 17). The mother followed a minute behind and was complaining that their huge cooler on wheels hit the corner every time they walked through the locker rooms (so how many times has this guy walked through!?). It's disturbing to me that this is a vulnerable place for women yet this clearly male presenting 16-17 year old was comfortable walking in. The women's locker room entrance is right in front of the desk, how did the screaming employee not say a word to him but yelled at me to triple check that I signed in. I will not have to keep constant eyes on my daughter while in the locker room. The place is small, the rules are many, and the other patrons aren't ideal. Some people there expect special treatment and act out of they don't receive it. A lot of mothers dress super inappropriate and don't watch the 4+ kids they always have with them. The weight/machine room is small and people are extra rude by not wiping down anything when they're done and kids often treat the machines like toys. The pool is nice but a lot of kids (the ones being ignored by parents) aren't very well behaved and families very much enjoy blocking the pool stairs. For the cost of a membership, I expected more. I would like to see better enforcement of pool rules (indoor and outdoor), a larger workout room with more/better workout equipment, a watchful eye for the dressing room, open gym time, and just an expansion overall so it's not so cramped all of the time.

Great gym! I do…read morepersonal training twice a week. I was in a bad automobile accident a few months ago. Unfortunately I was hit by a drunk driver. I recently finished physical therapy. And was given the ok to start working out again. Despite my injuries. My personal trainer Alyssa is fantastic. Knowledgeable and so helpful. Great personality. A goal of a workout is for one to be challenged. I can count on her to do just that. She is helping me regain my strength and confidence. Cannot thank her enough!

What cause me to cancel my membership was another member whom I had never seen in the facility before (I assume he is a new member) threaten to "to get his gun and blow my brains out" in front of my (2) daughters and other members. I reviewed the Code of Conduct in the membership agreement and this behavior is against company policy. I asked Kathy the front attendant to contact Union Township Police and reported the incident. I was under the impression Management will deal with the incident accordingly. Following a week of business travel and a week away for the Holidays, my daughters and I was working out in the gym when the girls whispered ... "Dad that guy is back ... I thought they said he would not be allowed back!" They both started to feel extremely uneasy so I went to the front to ask the attendant (Beverly) why was he allowed back. She had no clue about the initial incident or what I was references. I told her I need to make arrangements to cancel. She told me when the GM would be in the office again and I said I will speak with her (Terri) as the next step. I then waved to my girls to come along so we could exit the facility. While in the car pulling away, my daughter mentioned that the gentleman commented to her (once she walked by) ... "Tell your dad I will see him later!" I immediately turn the car around to report the matter to Beverly. As I was entering the building the gentleman appeared behind me combative with additional words and threats to cause harm. I am a 14 year U.S, Marine and it took every fiber of discipline within my being to not engage this person and take the high road approach. Terri was on vacation and wasn't available for the next 2 days. I learn this when I returned as Beverly had suggested when Terri would be in again ... only to learn she was still on vacation. Kathy was there and she chimed-in on the conversation. Kathy stated "Yes what I didn't understand is the guy seemed to be concerned about his daughters and I was thinking all along "Then, why don't you just leave!" I had to explain to Kathy in front of her co-workers that her facts may be mixed ... that I am the one with the daughters. No one in the building had any account of the threat and incident with specific knowledge and facts. From someone whom has opened and managed 7200 Starbucks and 60+ Apple Stores, I was shocked to learn and realize their cavalier attitude over someone's threats of shooting one of their regular members. Once Terri and I connected face-to-face, I was shocked to learn that she knew very very little of either occurrences. She mentioned to me that she had no (0) report or documentation from Kathy on the original incident 3 weeks ago, no (0) police report from 3 weeks ago, and she had just received Beverly's report today from a few evenings ago. Adding insult to injury, Terri commented to me along with another MHP employee that UTP should have arrested both of us! Once she noticed my mouth falling open with shock and surprise from her remark and her employee's (witness) look of shock, she immediately attempted to back track. Clearly this organization did not take the gentleman's threat serious and didn't bother to document the situation. Terri (General Mgr.) attempted to assure me that she was planning to now conduct a thorough investigation into the matter by gathering statements, reports, and etc. now (3) weeks and another incident later. This organization should avoid putting regular members through such an experience without immediate and swift actions to honor and protect the membership agreement.

I have been coming to this gym for the past year or so and it seems like the past 7 months some…read morethings have changed. In a good way. It always is clean and the bathrooms smell amazing. Several staff members have always been a help. Jamie is always smiling and helping me with any questions I have. And the enormous guy with dark hair at the front desk comes off as intimidating by his massive size but went out of his way to show me how to use several machines. I also saw him cleaning the entire time I was here today. Im grateful for this gym because they make me feel like they ACTUALLY WANT ME HERE!

My daughter and I have been a part of Fuse Martial Arts & Fitness (Maineville location) for about 3…read moremonths now. Recently having relocated from Texas, it was important for my wife and I to find a martial arts studio where we felt good about the environment and teaching style that our daughter Isabela (7 yrs old) would be training under. We cannot be happier that we decided to give Fuse Martial Arts a try. From the first day she completed her trial class, we knew it was the place for us when my daughter said "I belong here!" This will be my daughters third martial arts studio and she absolutely loves it! Coach Dave is great with his students, and I appreciate his coaching style and his commitment to the development of everyone who walks through that door. My experience at Fuse Martial Arts & Fitness has been GREAT! What I can share about my personal health journey, is that when I started at Fuse I simply had one goal; to begin a path to a healthier me so that I can be there for my family. I have been doing the Muay Thai classes and they really provide me with the full body workout that I haven't had in a long time. When I started 3 months ago, I weighed just under 340 lbs. I have now lost 34+ lbs and continue to feel better and more capable as each week passes. Coach Dave has a great balance of pushing me with the intensity that I need while making sure I have a healthy approach to continuing my fitness journey and not get discouraged. One additional benefit of the Muay Thai training I can share is that not only does it help me get in shape, it has also instilled a sense of confidence that I was unaware of until I found myself in a unique situation at work. A couple of weeks ago, I had an employee become very disgruntled with me at work (this is employee was 6'2" and about 320 lbs. I'm 5'11"). I still don't how the situation escalated as quickly as it did, but by the time I knew it, this employee was cussing me out and suddenly in my face. I share this situation, because I can say, that throughout this event, I felt incredibly calm, was able to maintain control of the situation. As I reflected about this event, I was surprised that I naturally found myself position my feet in my Muay Thai stance and then pulled back to a safe distance when dealing with this employee. It was a reminder for me, that not only does Muay Thai for me serve for fitness, but it also serves as a means to help defend myself. Had it not been for the time I had training under Coach Dave, I honestly do not know how I would have reacted or dealt with this situation. I am now a healthier and more confident person as I continue on my journey. Knowing that at the end of the day Fuse Martial Arts & Fitness is playing such as crucial role in helping to keep my family safe, improve confidence and discipline of both my daughter and I, and help to improve our overall health, I cannot be more satisfied. Originally, one of the biggest perks of the Cincy Y membership was that it allowed you to use all Cincinnati branches. Now, you can go to any Ohio YMCA with your membership! Way to go! I know the membership pricing varies based on economic conditions, and while the Y certainly isn't the cheapest option, I will say they offer a lot of bang for your buck if you are willing to take advantage. Pools and saunas at most locations, fitness classes offered at all of them and at varying times, ActiveTrax to customize your fitness regime, weight rooms, workout facilities, personal coaching, and various free training programs from weight loss to competitive running to healthy eating make the YMCA not just a weight room, but a comprehensive facility for better living. I will say that while the Y offers a wonderful program for synchronized and competitive swimming, it wreaks havoc on the pool availability schedule. During the school year, expect the pool to be occupied whenever the children can be there. Even with 3 pools available at the Powel Crosley, it is difficult to discern from the schedule when the pool is open to the public. The good news? You can always call and talk to a human being.
