Being from Alabama, I usually try to take advantage of good liquor prices when going through other states. Georgia just happens to be one of those states that prices are dramatically better. So on our road trip home, Z and Z obviously spends their advertising and we were lured by their billboards along the way. With their location just off of the interstate, it was a good bet if we were getting some liquor on our way home. The place is pretty big and is wall to wall adult beverages. They had a really good selection. Similar to what I see at the state store here... but with a whole lot better prices. The staff was friendly and they even have a drive thru. Not a place I would go out of my way for. But if it is in your path, I recommend a stop in. read more

I have proudly supported this business for years as a female veteran, and after my last visit, I will never spend another dollar here. I'm not sure what's changed at this location. Maybe they've had issues with theft or robberies, but whatever the reason, I walked away feeling like I was racially profiled the moment I came inside. I usually use the drive-thru, but I went inside because I wanted to browse a new alcohol selection without holding up the line. Apparently that was a mistake. I've been shopping here since 2017 and never expected to be treated with suspicion and disrespect. After years of loyal business, this is how customers are treated? Absolutely unacceptable. Respect is free, and once it's gone, so is my business. I'll gladly take my money to the liquor on hwy 42, where I'm hopeful I'll be treated like a paying customer instead of a suspect. My husband and I pass here often and we decided to check them out! They have A GREAT selection of bourbons. The customer service is outstanding. They really know their stuff! Was looking for the Jack Daniels 14 year! They just sold out and told me that they can give me a call when it comes in again! I drove 12 miles in rush hour traffic to get to this place. Store picks 3/5ths bourbons I've never heard of. Had pretty girls and weird airplanes.. no one could tell me about the bourbons only that the store picks were on the barrels. I visited 3 different liquor stores within a 20 mile radius as I'm a bourbon collector from out of town. This is the only one out of the three I did not buy a bourbon. read more

I had to pick up something for a birthday party in Macon, and could not bring anything with me on the plane. So I decided to stop at Z&Z following a red-eye from the west coast, just after they opened in the morning. I had seen their billboards on I-75 previously and figured it was worth a shot. It was. Friendly folks, wonderfully decorated store. They know their whisk(e)y. And even though it was early in the morning, they offered me some tasting (I declined). My daughter and I stopped in this morning for champagne to make mimosas. The vibe in the store was WAY off. It was apparent that we weren't exactly welcome however our money was. The sign in the window (that I saw as we exited) indignantly indicated that we could leave if we didn't like their philosophy. We will NEVER return. The billboards all over 75 drew me in on my way home to Cincinnati. I checked out their website and was sold. They advertise as having individual craft beers you can buy. However, it is false advertising. They won't let you break 6 packs off for individual purchases. You have to buy whatever loose brews are available. The ladies working here said they don't have a UPC to scan. I was like... umm, not true. As a business you will earn more money that way and many stores do this from New Jersey to Florida. As a craft beer lover I was hoping to buy 6 to 12 Georgia brews. I ended up only buying one 4-pack. Their loss, the brewers loss, and mine too. What a shame. Get with the times z&Z and hire a new business manager. read more

There are airplanes in this package store. Z & Z Package store will henceforth be remembered as "the most incredible liquor store ever" in my book. Located randomly right off the interstate, this is more of a liquor warehouse than a mere 'store.' Every, every possible thing you could ever want. So large, there are life size model airplanes hanging from the ceiling. And yes, i did say plural 'airplanes.' If ever a place deserved five stars, its this place. They should change the name to the airplane liquor store. In fact I had to ask the girl what was the name of the store, it just says "liquor store" on the outside. Everyone I know calls it the airplane liquor store. My first time in the store. I could have spent hour upon hour here. I was in the beer kinda mood and Z and Z doesn't disappoint. I didn't have time to look over ever thing. Definitely a huge selection of microbrews. By far the best selection for adult beverage making that I have ever seen. This place is ginormous and the folks are friendly. They have a very large selection of smaller bottles too behind the counter so you can try new stuff without breaking the bank. I have never used the drive through and wouldn't suggest it, you would miss seeing the cool airplanes and getting to check out all they have to offer. I must admit I am a sucker for neat bottles. It can be a pain to get to since it it located at the Tanger outlet exit that sometimes backs up into I-75 Northbound. read more

This place is exceptional --the only drawback is they have to close early (in my opinion). We always stop here to pick up supplies for New Year's Eve on the last leg of our journey back from the Keys. We found this place by accident because (this year being the exception) every previous year, the traffic was so bad going North, we decided to stop and take a break. That was the beginning of at least a four year tradition. This time, we stopped on Sunday, Dec 30th, 2012 and they were just about to close but they let us in. They ALWAYS have a HUGE selection of products. Picked up our standard bottle of Veuve Clicquot and a few bottles of moderately priced wine. The staff is always very helpful, nice, and knowledgeable and (as others have stated) the interior decorations are pretty cool. It makes me wonder what kind of volume they have to produce to get those promotional items. I've never seen a store like this. They also offer a military discount --I always enjoy getting that 10% off. read more

I walked in the store with my African American sister and boyfriend when an associate approached us and asked for ID and told me to remove my hood. ( it was raining outside ) . A Caucasian man walked in directly after us with a hood on and the associate greeted him with hello. Didn't ask for ID and didn't ask him to remove his hood. We all felt very uncomfortable so we left. I will never visit this location again read more

This was my first time in this store. The lady asked my if I was ready and I said yes. She proceeded to the counter to ring me up and something at the counter caught my attention and I looked to buy it. When I looked up she had huffed and walked away and left me standing there. This is the only reason they didn't get a 5star. Customer service is major in today's world. The other lady named Liz was super sweet and professional and rang me up. Stopped here after seeing literally dozens of billboards on I-75 for this place. I figured it had to be huge and I was right, this place is enormous! I'm a craft beer fan so I was very with their large selection of craft beer. The staff is made of a bunch of hot chicks which is awesome, that is until you ask them for help. They are pretty clueless about every question I asked them. My biggest gripe though is there was a sign up advertising a free glass with the of any 2 Jailhouse Brewing 22 oz beers. I asked one girl where they were and she clueless. She got a coworker and this girl pointed me in the direction but they were sold out. She then tells me they've been out of the glasses for awhile now and that was just old sign that needed to be taken down. I asked if there was any other similar specials and she just said no and walked away. Needless to say I was not very impressed with the costumer service, however I'll probably be back just because of their large selection. read more
