My boyfriend has had an issue with his prescription EVERY. SINGLE. TIME he has gone to pick it up. The staff has been extremely rude to him and they refuse to pick up the phone or answer voicemails. Everyone says the staff is rude, so that wouldn't go over well with me. My sister told me a couple of years ago she encountered rudi's (my word for rude people), and apparently most his patients encountered the same thing. Bummer because I loved Gary Wright and now he's gone. read more

Unnecessarily rude and curt staff. Called to enquire about an appointment and the process and it was as if the woman on the phone couldn't be bothered with such questions. Very derogatory and unpleasant interaction over such a simple request. If the tone in the office is that miserable I don't have faith they could provide adequate care to my or a loved one. Last time with Dr Cooper was cancer surgery in my ear. 6 months later, had to go to Moh's clinic at Stanford for extensive surgery on the same ear. Dr Cooper did not do a very complete job on my ear. Also took major piece of the other ear. Makes me wonder if that surgery was over kill. If you have Medicare, you still pay $$$. Office staff is not very friendly. I would use the word ( rude). read more

First of all, this is my first time ever leaving a poor YELP review. I've never felt inclined to review until today. To be clear: This was not Dr Cooper, it was a woman who I saw. Here is the scoop: I made an appointment over a month ago to be seen for a blood vessel (red blood dot) on my face to get "zapped". When I called to receptionist wasn't exactly friendly but booked me an appointment and said it was cosmetics and would cost 75.00. After waiting a month and getting a baby sitter for my newborn, I got into the room and the woman told me that they don't do what I needed there and that I needed to see a laser treatment facility. I was literally in the room for 1 minute. Bummer! When I was leaving they wanted to charge my insurance for an appointment and me 30.00. I asked why I was being charged...seemed silly that they messed up on scheduling me in the first place and then having nothing be done. The dr asked to see me in a separate room and explained to me that I took up her time, made the appointment and that "it is ONLY 30.00". Then when I was leaving I let the front desk know that it was super inconvenient and disappointing that they scheduled me there vs referred me to be seen elsewhere AND charged me. When I was leaving walking out, a staff member yelled something on the lines that I was rude. The WHOLE experience from my phone call a month ago to today was awful. I was actually warned by my doctor that Cooper Dermatology was unprofessional but I was hopeful. I will drive many miles to see someone else. It's time you all work on better service. Your reviews thus far solidify my disappointment. Lastly, please don't assume "only 30.00 dollars" is nothing for your patients. That's as a very ENTITLED thing to say. read more

I just read the review from 2018 saying the issues with the unfriendly office staff were resolved...um, no, they are not. It's 2020 and they are rude as ever. Also they have office "policies" which result in paying for medical expenses that are unnecessary which I don't agree with. read more

I love Dr. Cooper! I went in concerned about some skin irregularities, but my mind was set to ease. Friendly knowledgeable staff, expertise in his field and I know he has my back, especially if there is a growth on it! Would recommended him any day as well as having an annual skin checks. Dr. Cooper has been my dermatologist for awhile and has been very good about doing my yearly exam and taking care of any issue's I have had, which have not been many and only minor. The exam's are very thorough and any issue's/concerns I have brought up were addressed and Dr. Cooper explained what was going on. I have never had an issue with the staff and my appointments and reminders are always handled well. Dr, Cooper has always been professional and courteous. read more

The office staff is the rudest bunch of people that I have ever encountered at a physician's office. It really sets the tone when the first thing you see as you walk up to check in is a sign that reads.. "Do not open window. We see you. We will be with you in a minute." When I call to make an appointment I always get the feeling that I'm interrupting something that they would rather be doing. I love Chris Elder, but I will not be going back to this office. I also think that they double bill and are hoping people forget that they paid and pay again. read more

This Dr. Had the worst staff, and the doctor himself has NO BEDSIDE MANNER!!! He came into the exam room, didn't say hello. He asked why I was there and I showed him my ear. He proceeded to do a punch biopsy without warning me. That really hurt!!! Then he gave my ear an injection right on the sensitive spot. I walked out crying my eyes out!!! I love Dr. Copper but he needs to train his office people to not be so rude! My husband experienced it first and I did not but now I have experienced it and I've been in retail customer service for years and they are very rude and need to change their attitudes. read more

So... I see the earlier reviews (from around 2015), and I don't necessarily disagree. At that time, there were indeed problems with office staff. I was, indeed, billed for something which didn't happen, and one of the staff members told me she was "too busy" to wait on the phone with my insurance to give authorization for a medication which was prescribed to me (the pharmacy required this). I came by later for some samples instead. HOWEVER: I have always liked Dr. Cooper, and I have found his (current) staff to be competent and friendly since those earlier problems. As for "bedside manner", well... he's just a matter-of-fact kind of guy -- he looks at a problem and suggests a solution. I don't find it to be lacking at all -- he's not "warm and fuzzy", but he's not at all cold, either. And he has a great sense of humor. He is very responsive to my personal concerns (I have a history of melanoma at a young age, and again in middle age, so any suspicious spot I want taken off he takes care of on the spot, amazingly fast). I won't repeat other patients negative reviews about his demeanor (although I think his brusque and condescending manner is limited to interactions with female patients); what I'd like to say is that in subsequent years, I have had two (2) dermatologists, both of whom commented on the scar that Cooper's MOHS surgery left on my forehead. Both couldn't understand why he would make a jagged diagonal incision rather than a horizontal cut. I don't think this doctor has any expertise in aesthetics. On my surgery day, he was doing 4 patients at once, moving us back and forth from the surgical room to a waiting room, while he checked to see if he need to cut more. Had I known how he was going to cut ahead of time - I would have found a different doctor. I am only posting this now, because I want to warn patients that you can (and should) get a complete explanation from the doctor on how the surgery will be done. read more

I agree with the people who said his office staff is rude. I called to make an appointment, and was shuttled from person to person and left on hold for an unreasonable period of time. Then I was told that to make an appointment, they would have to send me a registration packet by snail mail, fill it out, mail it back. Only then would they call me to set up an audience with the doctor. Ridiculous, and not going to happen. read more

Dr. Cooper was very quick, painless, and nice to work with. All my skin problems have gone away and they aren't coming back!

My daughter has seen Dr. Cooper and was very happy with him. I called today, after a visit to prompt care, and tried to make an appointment. The scheduler, who was very rude right from the start, told me that the first appointment she had was on March 13th for a new patient. I asked for the appointment and told her I would call prompt care just to confirm that waiting until then was ok. She then told me how much work it was for her to put me in the computer, and that if I wasn't sure, she didn't have time. I asked around work and ended up calling Dr. Naude to make an appointment. It's only a few days earlier but the scheduler was very professional and helpful - and told me she would contact me if there was a cancellation. read more
