I had a delicate wedding band that needed a slight size adjustment as my finger enlarged a bit over a couple of decades. The ring has a pattern all around it and a delicate engraving on the inside so a couple of jewelries had told me it could not be done easily (they wouldn't do it). I contacted Zaki, took the ring to him, and he was awesome. He told me it could be done and recommended a very small adjustment so that it wouldn't be too loose and risk falling from my finger. I had to resize some of my rings and remake one of the white gold rings into an 18k yellow gold band. He said he could finish the job in 2 weeks. I told him specifically that i'd be out of town and might not be available on phone the week after. But he called me after 7 days saying that the rings that had to be resized were done but he forgot what i had asked him to do with the white gold ring. I was in a different time zone and hence, missed the call then but when i got back i asked him what happened with the paper where he wrote all the instructions. He didn't respond. I told him i'd just come and collect the rings and he wouldn't need to touch that white gold ring. I went, asked him what went wrong. He said the instructions weren't clear to him. If it weren't why did he say they were when i gave my ring to him to do the job? I just collected all my rings, paid him and left. He didn't resize the other rings properly because they were still very loose or tight and it was a complete botched job. I have no idea how this place got so many 5 star reviews. Of course, this jeweller doesn't take his job very seriously. read more
