Oh yeah! Yet another new addition to Baggot Street Upper. We stopped in for dinner on the way home from work a few days after they opened. Greeted with a smile and seated right away. Flavoured water dropped to the table and some herbal tea after that. There is a lot on the menu to choose from and what we ordered was absolutely amazing. The food came out quickly and portion size was perfect. To top it all off we received a glass of beer on the house. We're looking fwd to heading back to try more from the menu.

Smaller than the other one, the inside is cosy and the gyoza still very good! I also really live their avocado/salmon sushi roll, they are excellent!! I always eat very well at Zakura, I think is in my top 3 japanese restaurants in Dublin

Their teriyaki beef were unreal. The place could be so busy in lunch time and dinner tho so you may need to book table in advance!

Welcome to Baggot Street! This new addition to the upper end of Baggot Streer is fantastic! Great Japanese food, Great Sushi, Great Ambience and Great Staff. The dinning room is a really nice space and love the table seating at the window, perfect stop to unwind, enjoy some authentic food and watch the world go by. During their opening week they were giving complimentary Asahi beer which was a nice gesture.

I was one of the first customers through the door for the 1st Zakura in town a couple of years back it it was all a bit basic but you could see it was going to be great once they got into the swing of things... and so it has turned out with this iteration of the chain.. the place is constantly packed and comparing some of their dishes to that of Wagamama - like the Chicken Ramen, Zakura wins every time. Booking is essential, we have tried to walk in several times and only managed to get past the front door once, it's really that good and really not expensive!

I love this place. I know all of the Japanese restaurant in Dublin is owned by Chinese or different nationalities. To me, Zakura is the best. Consistent good flavour and service. Also cheap.

Excellent bento box and great salmon and avocado sushi. Was busy but the service was still really good. Happy with the prices, the lunch deal is decent. Says 7up but it's actually sprite, not a bid deal though as I prefer sprite.

    Dessert is amazing!

The ambiance of the restaurant felt authentic. From the art to the decor to the serving trays/dishes and utensils. The restaurant has a nice intimate feel like you're having dinner with your family. We were seated quickly and our server was attentive and helpful. We all started off with the sake pornstar martini. It was really good, a bit on the sweeter side. For all appetizers we had the edamame and gyoza. The gyoza included chicken and a nice sauce. It was a nice size portion (~6-7 pieces). Both were really good. For our main dish we had the Kimchi ramen, Maneki yaki soba and the spider roll. The ramen was a nice size portion and was packed with a variety of meats. My friend said the broth was really good and spicy. The Yaki soba was a perfect portion for me. It included roasted chicken, prawns, roasted pork and veggies. It was very flavor and good. It also came with a side of miso soup which was perfect. The spider roll was massive. There were 8 giant pieces and it was tasty! I also snapped photos of our neighbors Teppan salmon teriyaki and beef teriyaki. They said both were amazing. I've seen a few reviews mention the pricing is a bit higher but it was worth it in my opinion. The portions were a bit larger than what I've experienced before, the food was tasty, the drinks were good and service was great. They also do karaoke upstairs and it was actually pretty entertaining listening to them while we ate. There is an automatic 12% gratuity/service fee included but there is a note that you are not required to pay. Definitely keeping this on my list for the next visit.
