I was told that because I purchased the store warranty (which was recommended to me), I couldn't exchange the product at the store. It gets worse: the warranty company informed me that since the product was defective at the time of purchase, the manufacturer--Black & Decker--was responsible for replacing it. After navigating through customer service, I was finally told that the store itself was responsible for replacing the vacuum cleaner. This entire experience has been frustrating and confusing. Do yourself a favor: don't waste your money on the warranty. It's not helpful and only adds more hassle. I shop at Big Lots frequently, but this experience has really soured my opinion. It's clear why so many people choose to avoid them.

So sadly, it's broken twice at the clasp leaving my little anklet bare and me super bummed. Lucky for me, the team at Kay Jewelers was on it. I decided to pop into this location as it's set among some of my other fave shopping spots like Target, Bath & Body Works, Old Navy, Dollar Tree, etc. Easy way to spend a day and a lot of money! When I went, it was a chill Saturday morning and it was surprisingly easy to get a parking space close to the door (before the Target moms came out the house!) Upon entry, Kay was very quiet, with only one other customer in the store along with a security guard and two employees who greeted me when I walked in. One employee was working with the other customer and the other seemed to be working out some information on the phone. I wasn't in a huge rush and enjoyed taking some time to window shop at their beautiful display cases. Less than 10 minutes or so later, a young man came over to me and we chatted about my needs before he led me over to the counter to submit my request. He was very clear about the timeline, suggested possibly changing the length and made the process extremely smooth. Pictures were taken of my anklet before it was placed in a fancy jewelry box to be shipped off for fixing. Just weeks later as I was promised, my anklet was ready! When I picked it up, the staff was even more helpful than before and my anklet was better than ever. Definitely going to check them out when I'm looking for my next piece of jewelry!

One young girl (thin with long black hair) walked right past- I asked her if she could help me. She kept walking said "I will be right back". I finally left the cutting table (which was not nearly big enough for them to cut fabrics) to look for someone to help me. I found sweet Imani who immediately came to cut my fabric after she finished with her current customer. (The young thin girl finally returned and walked right past us as Imani was cutting my fabric - she never said a word to me after being gone for a long time. I will shop elsewhere for fabric - next time I go to Joanne's! I won't make this mistake ever again.

However, Erick, a young gentlemen (cashier) welcomed me near the entrance and immediately asked if I needed assistance. He directed me to the aisle I needed and then I headed to the next aisle where Daniel (floor staff) came over and asked if I needed assistance. Not only did Daniel assist, but he gave me tips on the baskets best suited for my gift idea and encouraged me to pick out a few for the future; and I did just that. At check out Erick asked if I found what I needed and when I shared that I had not, he checked in to see if stock may have had the item. I haven't had such great customer service in a Michaels location (or other stores actually)in years! I was thoroughly impressed and had to pause to share my gratitude before I forget. Management at this Goodwill location is denying customers access to the public family and disabled…read morerestroom by placing a CLOSED FOR CLEANING sign the entrance even though the restroom is not being clean. The sign has been posted for more than eight months however; the security officers and employees have full access to this restroom despite the CLOSED FOR CLEANING sign. Coporate needs to investigate this issue and correct it.
