We did not get the bear, but the bear showed us how comfy the couch was. Lol.

Hello everyone. I am Tiffancy and thank you for choosing "A Fancy Review." I've always been into thrifting, yard sales and enjoying a "good find." The saying, "One mans trash, is another mans treasure," is certainly still relevant today. I visited this store often and decided today to review it. I have always been in support of anything positive. Be positive is my motto. My blood type is B + so I'm a just Be Positive. "Goodwill" the name alone is positive and so is what it stands for. Outside of second hand items at low cost, including the popular 99 cent Mondays (which is when I visited this time) Goodwill's profits goes towards putting people to work and that's something I can get behind. This particular location is always clean and the staff work really hard to keep the departments stocked. Because of its popularity, senior discount Tuesdays, and half off color of the day tags the shelves are cleared out pretty quickly by "eager" shoppers. I always see Sharon the store manager, she always greets me and she's always on the floor. Sharon is very hands on. Often she has been my checkout cashier. At check out I always do the round up because the money goes towards Goodwill's career center which benefits those looking for work, and they offer other daily classes on many things from resume building to learning social media. With everything happening this year (2020) I am grateful to have a place like Goodwill in my community. Please be kind when visiting my Goodwill location, leave your problems at the door. Some people can mess up an enjoyable experience over items they are already getting at a discounted price. You have to remember goodwill is 100 percent donated items. Goodwill only sorts them and organizes the items to allow searching more convenient for you. Encourage your neighbors to drop off items in better condition verses being upset at people doing their jobs. Thank you Goodwill, Panola Rd Ellenwood, Ga.

I am by no means a thrifter. Thrift shops have a weird smell and I'm way too impatient to sort…read morethrough them. Which is ironic because I have no problem spending 48 hours in a Banana Republic outlet. Not to mention Dillards but I digress.. Granny wanted to go to The Goodwill so we did. It's a fairly new location right off of Flat Shoals Pkwy, in the plaza with Family Dollar. There's parking galore and the store is huge! There's bad music playing (like in most stores) and it's brightly lit. Items range from toys to clothes to furniture. New inventory arrives every fifteen minutes so as you can imagine, there's a lot of stuff! The store is very organized but in a weird, savant sort of way. Shirts are sorted by type (t-shirt, blouse, uniform) and color (pink, rose, fuscia), but not by size. The denim section is just as crazy. They have rows and rows of jeans that aren't sorted by size. We were looking for petites. There's no petite section :(. But the selection is vast, the fitting rooms are clean, there are cool shopping carts and some pretty good sales if you can figure them out. Tiny plastic tabs are attached to each item. If you get a certain color tag (and the color changes weekly) you get a percentage off! I thought the prices were a little high. But my brother (a card-carrying member of Thrifters Anonymous) explained that Goodwill Industries is non-profit. Items are more than they would be at a Value Village because 83% of their revenue is spent on programs. The Goodwill helped over 300,000 people find jobs last year so you're shopping for a cause. A random sample of prices: Slippers $3 Ties $3 Women's pants $5.75 Women's blouses $5.75 Shoes $6 Women's jeans $7.47 Overpriced piece of gym equipment $350 Yes, there are a lot of questionable items. But if you take your time, I'm sure you will find some diamonds in the rough. Happy treasure hunting!

So, please tell me why they didn't mention they would only accept one (1) 13 gal trash bag of items! To make things worse they had five (5) employees working and only one (1) sorting bags for the buys. The others were on their cellphones and having idle conversations with each other. One (1) young lady was playing with her belly button while on the phone! The customer service here is awful. So sad because the concept of this place is a money maker. I'll be sticking with Poshmark.

I came back less than 2hrs later and was told they couldn't find my bag of clothes and that they must have been sent out with donations. I ask where is that, I'm told "I don't know". Everyone moves on as if it's no big deal. The "store manager" checks the computer and says they never even inputted my information into the system. So I'm asking what's the recourse in this situation and she looks at me blankly. After some back and forth she suggests 20% off an in-store purchase. I ask for the owners information and she directs me to the Plato's website. I feel like this situation was not handled properly at all. How do you just lose someone's items and have no solution for them??? I brought in a lot of bake brand items and items that still had tags on them and I'm just shrugged at about my items being given away. I could see if I didn't come back in time but I was back within 2hrs. There's no excuse for how this was handled or the lack of care and concern that was given to me after losing my items

The service was excellent and very attentive. Since it was our first time visiting, our server took the time to explain some of the most popular menu items as well as their personal favorites. Based on their recommendations, we ordered the seafood platter, which was just enough for two people to share. If you have a bigger appetite, though, you may still want to order an additional entrée alongside it. The only downside was a noticeable odor when walking inside the restaurant. It smelled like a mix of bleach water and stagnant or dirty water. It's something they should definitely address, but it wasn't enough to negatively impact our overall experience. We will absolutely be back and will probably choose the patio again if the weather cooperates.

I had to say excuse me twice to get in. There was probably two other patrons inside the restaurant and 4 at the out door bar top. The food was subpar. I ordered the king crab legs as it came on the menu with broccolini and mashed potatoes. Cost $110. The only thing that came out hot and seasoned was the broccolini. Both the potatoes and crab legs were cold and unseasoned. There was a side of butter sauce which was slightly warmer. I had a $10 Coalition Margarita it tasted more like a mocktail. I ordered a dozen chargrilled oysters. The first round came out over cooked. The second round was better but 2 were just shells with no oyster inside just baked on toppings. They were otherwise good. Cost $24 (happy hour). I did voice my concerns to both my server and management. The female manger came over and ask if I wanted the crabs & potatoes "reheated". I declined as I was short on time and a remake would be more appealing. She stated she would work something out for me. Shortly after, I requested the check. There was no adjustment & I was not offered a dessert, or anything for my next visitShe never came back over to me. I paid the check plus 20% cash. Total cost $190 (rounded up). I went to the restroom. The manager was at the hostess stand as I left. We made eye contact. She turned to avoid me. This was Thursday 6/4/2026 between 4:30-6 PM. Overall the experience was not as advertised on social media. Again it was subpar. Maybe the second time would've been better, but I guess I'll never know. I do not recommend.
