I have been with Zan's ever since we move to the Midlothian area some 20 years ago. Their service has been really great and the folks have been so easy to work with. Just recently they changed my collection day from Monday to Wednesday. On the first day of the new collection day, they failed to collect my trash. I waited until 5 PM and, when they did now show up, I dropped an email to Zan's reporting the problem. The next morning about 8:05 AM I checked my email and had a reply saying that their the crew had missed my pick up due to fact that this created a change in their regular route and that they would schedule pickup of my trash that morning. A little before 8:30 AM, the crew was picking up my trash. I received I call from the Zan's office a little before noon checking to confirm that the trash pickup had occurred. I am very impressed with how fast they responded to the problem and particularly that they followed up with me to assure that their crew had made the pickup. Once again, I found that working with Zan's is a pleasure. I recommend them highly. read more

I got tired of the lies told by the big companies based in N.J. and their fictitious contracts. The companies that bought out or ran out of business the great mom & pop local trash companies . Never knowing if trash was going to be picked up or when. I searched for a local company that was still in business and found Zan's. I have been with them for 1 -2 years now and have had nothing but good service. I can set my watch by my route people, same time every week. I have read the bad reviews from others, it must be the employees on your route, I have had no problems, in fact the 1st. service day, I was in my yard when Zan's arrived, the truck driver got out of the truck to shake my hand, thanked me for allowing them the opportunity to serve me, said if there was ever a problem please let him know. Zan's is 1 or 2 dollars more a month, but I am happy with their service and I know my money is going to someone local. My only regret now is that I am moving to an area that they do not serve. read more

I have been a customer of Zan's Refuse for twelve years! I can count on one hand the number of times they didn't pick up the trash as scheduled--but they picked it up the very next day. This is a small company--surely people can understand that there will be times when a company is short-staffed. If you have an issue, pick up the phone and call them. They will correct the situation immediately. In my opinion, for the back-door service I receive (at the lowest rate I could find), coupled with a very friendly and efficient office staff, this is the best company for your trash removal needs. The worst company to work for Black owned. I was let go because I voiced my opinion for not getting Christmas bonuses. We work our ass off in all type of weather I even came in today when I was sick and at the end of the day I got a phone call saying they don't need me anymore.
