I just wanted to get the treads of my stairs refinished to match the floors I just got installed in the rest of my house. Mind you, my floors are luxury vinyl plank and the treads are solid planks of wood (oak or maple, I think? I can't remember). Any way, Nelson came and did an estimate, he assured me he would try to match the floors as closely as possible, but couldn't guarantee anything because the material is obviously different. I went forward with his work because it was better than the bare unfinished floors I had. They did an incredible job. I was told by someone before that the wood from the tread was so badly damaged that the stain could come out splotchy, but Nelson and his team did an incredible job. My floors look brand spanking new. They sanded them down smooth, applied the stain, and finish, everything was completed in two days. It was incredible.
