Was a happy customer once. Am needing a minor repair done. Can't seem to get any help or respect out of them. Zero quality customer service after the initial sale. I'd highly recommend steering away from this place. The guys just got done doing a repair on tradition pieces. They first replaced only one piece so that the two pieces don't match in color. See photo. I asked them to fix the whole thing, he finally did but now the piece that he repaired has chunks out of it. Not sure if he used a used piece or did that while repairing it. read more

A few months ago they installed some new carpet for us. Garrett was really patient with us as we considered different flooring types and colors. They were prompt, courteous, and professional. The installers did an excellent job and I was really happy with how it turned out. More recently, we had a leak into one of our closets. I quickly pulled-up and salvaged the carpet, but the padding was too wet to save. I reached out to Garrett (after looking at multiple places) and he was willing to provide me with a small piece of padding so I can re-install the carpet. I really appreciate his customer service months after original the install. read more

Do not stand behind their products. We ordered new floors for our entire first floor. We were not told that a dog would void our warranty, the same dog that licked the salesman's shoes when he sold us the floors int he first place. So now we are stuck with scratched up floors. I would not recommend this business. They were scheduled to complete a job with us on Saturday. The laminate was a bad batch of flooring. The worker came to show me. I waited for the salesman to call me but I had to call him even though he was aware of the situation. He was not apologetic but told me I would have to wait until Monday so he could call the manufacturer. I reminded him that I was on a very tight time constraint. This was one of the main reasons we went with them. We were assured they would be able to complete the job. When I asked him why he hadn't apologized, he stated "it wasn't their fault but the manufacturer". I told him I was doing business with them not the manufacturer. The very least I could be offered was an apology. I was staring at a concrete floor with furniture everywhere. Total disarray, and a weak apology that I had to ask for. When I inquired about a possible discount, he acted as if I was crazy. He also reminded me that this was a "small job" as if we were insignificant because we were only doing one room. My husband and I are reasonable people. If he would have called, apologized for the inconvenience. If he would've told me he was going to be on top of the manufacturer to make sure they replace this flooring as soon as possible, we would have let them complete the job. Unfortunately, none of the latter happened so we decided to take our business elsewhere. This was the worst customer service I have experienced from any business here in Texas. read more

Four Years Later and I'm Back!! :) Why? As I have another home now and I want new flooring that reflects me. After trying a local company in Georgetown and Home Depot - I turned to the company I knew and trusted with quality, knowledge and best price (watch those adds for free installs). At the old house, we had the engineered wood floors and tile installed by Floor Centers of Texas and now we need carpet in the new home to start with. I cannot tell you how many people complimented on the floors over the years including potential buyers when we listed the old home. Garrett and Tim are the experts on floor products and understand that Texas foundations do move during seasons (yes they do). Garrett and Tim will do the work the right way and I know they take care of their customers until all questions are answered even if you change your mind on the color of the carpet within 24 hours. Thanks to our animals, and our house flooding twice....yes twice, Floor Centers of Texas has been our go-to flooring guys more than a home owner would like. But these guys have always made it a quick and painless process. They have replaced our carpets (thanks to our dogs & a plumbing mishhap(s)), upgraded us to hardwood floors in our den area, and remodled both our master shower and our boys bath and shower area. From assisting us in picking out the tile and flooring, and most important to me, keeping within our budget, we were more than pleased with the quality and customer service we were given both by the showroom staff and the installers. I have referred both friends and family memebrs who have also used them and they have never disappointed. With hopes that I wont need any new flooring or tile work in the near future for the sake of my pocket book. Rest assure I will be calling these guys again. read more

We had most of our floor installed over two weeks ago - they under measured leaving a 17 sq. ft gap - They have told me TWICE that the rest of the product is ordered and will be delivered - but nothing has yet to arrive. Sent two emails today (01/04/12) - no response. If they ordered according to industry standard - they would have ordered an extra 5 - 8% to cover for shortages and waste - so they should have extra product already at the store. I emailed TIM twice to verify the sq. ft. and he NEVER responded. When asked, he said he didn't think he needed to respond - I told him we were not going to pay for the extra sq. ft that he under measured. Also trying to charge us for 7 bags of floor prep that we DID NOT authorize. Went downstairs to check progress - saw carpet was removed - asked if floor was even - was told they would let us know. An hour later I go back downstairs and the ENTIRE AREA is "prepped" and I was told they used 7 bags (at $50/bag). The installer did not come talk to us about what extras needed to be done to the floor and DID NOT show us the empty bags before leaving. So according to GARRETT KOCH, we're supposed to pay for something we have no proof they used. He was extremely rude when he called on 12/28/11 and used phrases "customers like you" and stated that we are only the second ones to dispute the floor prep. Maybe we're only the second ones to catch them at their little game. He basically told us that we have no right to questions any extra charges and said if we do not pay for the bags of floor prep - he would take further action. I told him that when I talked to TIM, I told him that we would agree to meet them half way and pay for 3.5 bags, without question and TIM said he would only charge us for one bag because they damaged my wall and baseboards. Apparently GARRETT didn't like that and is trying to have a stand off. IF you do business with them - MAKE SURE you know EXACTLY what you are being charged for and they measure correctly!! I would not recommend you doing business with Garrett Koch - He is a rude, nasty man who will try to bully you into seeing things his way. Tim Dunahoo was the nicer of the two and we preferred dealing with him directly. The floor looks great but their customer service sucks because of Garrett Koch! read more

Spending thousands of dollars replacing your floors can be painful. Garret and his team made it a downright pleasant experience. He and his team were fast and professional. This was our first experience replacing a large portion of our flooring. Garret helped us pick the right flooring for our home and explained the process in detail. When we compared Floor Centers' quote to others it was by far the best, with no extra charges for measuring etc. It was evident that Garret and his team really cared about the final product. We had one issue after the install, a closet door that wasn't seated correctly. Before I could even ask, Garret said "Can I come over and take care of that for you?". After getting the repair it was discovered that is was really a problem in the house. Garrett called and had it taken care of which we would have paid for but weren't charged. I had initially called 4 business for carpet quotes (including Floor Centers of TX). I had decided on a Mohawk low VOC carpet and only two places in town carry it. I can't remember what the other business was called but the woman there was short with me on the phone and made me feel as if I was bothering her. I called Floor Center and worked with Garrett. I was in sales and was impressed by his friendliness; he was extremely easy to work with. Turns out he is the owner of this small/local business. His quote was beyond significantly less expensive than his competitor (not to mention a great attitude...which goes far with me). The carpet was delivered within a week and his guys came out to install yesterday. They even swept up the dirt under my old carpet (which I really appreciated). They also remembered to offer me the bit of carpet they had left. They were going to glue the carpet down (as I saw them walking in with a large bottle). I asked if they could possibly nail it down (again....prefer to keep chemicals at a minimum) and they nailed it down with no problem. I just had to leave a review for them because I was hesitant since they only had one review on Yelp. I highly recommend them They do backsplashes too so I will definitely be coming here for that when the time comes. Garrett is a good business man! read more

My husband and I have been wanting to replace our floors for quite some time. We began looking into different flooring companies and asking friends and family for referrals. Our neighbors recently had their floors replaced with wood floors, and they look incredible. They told us about their experience with Garret and his team, and we called them right away. Keeping our budget in mind, we also called several companies and received multiple quotes to ensure we were getting the best service/product at the best price. I can't put into words how frustrating the process was. We used several "big" companies to come measure and give us quotes (that we had to pay for). Everyone who came to the home seemed clueless! It was impossible to find anyone knowledgeable with the product and process. Garret came to our home and made us feel completely confident. He showed us great product, explained EVERYTHING in detail, walked us through the process and answered all questions. He sent us a quote within 24hrs, and responded to all emails promptly. We decided his company was definitely the way to go. I'm due to have a child next month and gave them short notice for the install and stressed the importance of having it done in a very timely manner. His team came out early in the morning and did not leave until the entire project was done late that night!!! Completely blew us away! I am beyond pleased with the way the floors turned out, and couldn't be happier with the team and process as a whole. From start to finish it was a breeze!!
