Do not go there. Massacred the nachos, restaurant smells of dank wet carpet and to top it off it was quite expensive!

Finally, today, when in a fit of panic over deciding how to fill our bellies with happiness and warmth, we discovered it was finally open. Not knowing where to start, we went for a burrito and chimichanga (a.k.a DEEP FRIED BURRITO), both vegetarian, and a serve of guacamole with warm corn chips. Noticing the veto stuff didn't have a surcharge is always nice and this menu is very vego friendly. Then the waiting time began. Roughly 40 mins later, our food arrived hot and fresh. It was awesome. So much better than I had anticipated. The serving sizes were generous, the filling was amazingly fresh and altogether it was tasty and light. Each also came with its own personal serve of (again, massively generous) sour cream and Guach to add to our taste! All we had to do was lavish a ton of cheese on top and then the ascent to nirvana began. We devoured it all, like lions dining on an antelope carcass. I feel full and warm with a happy Mexican belly. It wasn't greasy, fatty or carby. It was light, tasty and epically fresh. I love making my own mexican food but i knowing there's a place out there that will bring me a burrito We will definitely be back for MORE. Especially in the deep cold of winter, when I'm chained to the study books. Thanks for making our Sunday night!

A quiet little Mexican place full of Culture with a warm, relaxing atmosphere…read more I enjoyed the culture throughout the restaurant displayed through painted walls of Santa Muerte among other things and little idols scattered about the dining. Although this did not hold my attention for the duration of the 1 hour & 45 minute wait before our meals were served. This is my first time eating at this place so i am not sure if this is a usual occurrence and am happy to give it the benefit of the doubt (hence the 3 stars) However i did notice that others were also experiencing long wait times and it was not all that busy. The meals tasted authentic and were enjoyable if not a little underwhelming. Definitely not the best i have had and were rather small in portion sizes than i have come to expect from other Mexican Restuarants. All in all a fine little place but the service and meals did not scrub up to other competitors out there and this really let it down for me. Perhaps this place is not trying to be more than what it is. It seems to me that it would shine mostly for the true authentic Mexican lovers out there rather than the rest of us casual enjoyers of the Mexican Cuisine.

Absolutely delicious!!!…read more Had the seafood burrito, chock full of fish and prawns and cheese toasted to perfection. The rice and salad freshens up the dish. Don't ignore this place on a busy road. It's a tranquil setting inside and the staff are super super friendly. Prices are pretty good. Mexican can be very expensive but $17 for a burrito (a very filling main meal) was good value!

But after a few minutes of good service and chilled out vibe I was able to relax. The place to be on The Parade is thanks to that A-Team the Trims family, who are also responsible for the equally buzzy Sparrow and The Manse. All the carry on and hoo haa about this place I reckon is well deserved, coming here is a unique experience and there's nowhere else around quite like it. You get a little drinks card to hang onto so you can order ten dollar glasses of wine and pricey food without having to actually think about how much you're paying. Last time I came here we had fries, which come out on a wooden block with an accompanying bowl of 'aerated ketchup,' which was absolutely delicious. They appear to be fans of aeration, there are also donuts with aerated chocolate sauce, and scallops with aerated almond cream. We all know how Adelaide folk like to get all worked up over new things, and I reckon this place is worth the hype.

Yay for cute new places to get your cocktail on!…read more There are a few factors that I feel are colouring my review that I should be upfront about: 1. The first time I went here it was a for a launch party. "Launch party" is code word for "free booze". Not paying for booze will give you a good opinion about ANY venue. 2. It's literally 1 minute walk from my house. 3. When I mentioned them on Twitter they immediately started following and chatting. Social media win. The interior is slick, white and modern, stylish but with personality. It's a little too crisp and considered for ragamuffins like myself but overall it's inviting. (They also use a great font for their signage, which design geeks such as myself will appreciate.) The venue itself is surprisingly comprehensive - peeking through the front door you would be tempted to think it's a slip of a place, but you'd be wrong. While it's narrow it extends back from the front area to dining tables, to a huge eating area, to a beer garden. And that's not mentioning the courtyard out the front. They also do deals throughout the week - my fave has to be the $5 hotdogs. I prefer the chilled out vibe of weeknights; on Fridays and Saturdays when the DJs are spinning tunes it gets really packed out and it's pretty expensive. People? Meh. Just give me a $5 hotdog and my bestie any day.

I…read morewas lucky enough to not just get a park but also go on a lunchtime where they weren't too busy. The staff were very polite, attentive and easy to talk to. Music filled the small restaurant and gave it a good theme overall. The longest I have ever had to wait there is 45 minutes and it was definitely worth it. I do wish that they were larger though cause there food should be enjoyed by the masses. I order the empanadas. They were three small, tasty "samosa-like" pieces that were filled with chicken, spices, grilled corn and served with guacamole, mexican coriander and tomato. The flavours were exquisite, rich and the food was well presented in a little bowl. Some of the other people who I went with ordered burgers which also looked quite nice. I have also had the burgers before and they are absolutely fantastic. I was lucky enough to let them share a chip with me, and they tasted amazing, they were seasoned in paprika and served with an incredible sauce that reminded me somewhat of a creamy mustard. The burgers had a nice beef patty seasoned with Columbian tomato - a nice sauce of cilantro and tomatoes. All the salad was fresh and the lettuce was shredded well. There was also seasoned onions and cilantro on the side which were nice along with some oven toasted corn chips. The tastes were so nice. I can still taste the meal even after leaving the restaurant almost an hour ago, however they are most pleasant. The dessert was just as good. My waitress described it as being like "creme" caramel. I am glad I ordered it and it was well priced too at just $7. It was custard (served in a bowl shape) with a caramel sauce poured around the edges. It was served slightly warmed which made it impeccable on the palette. Although I am not much of a sweet tooth, that was a great way to finish after the exquisite spices and guacamole from my main meal. Overall, this restaurant has a good balance of the key things that all restaurants should have. The serving proportions were comparable to the "goldilocks theory", not too big, not too small, just right. Foods and spices used were balanced and added to the flavours of key ingredients positively. Pricing was well adjusted and the atmosphere with the music could make one feel as though they were in Mexico having a siesta if they were to just close their eyes for a minute - albeit the decor did help contribute to such a delusion, as the restaurant is well decorated with blackboards that have key mexican culinary definitions, lamps and mexican objects scattered on the shelves. I will be going back (in fact since writing this review, I have gone back twice). A great dining experience and like few others I have ever had before. One little gripe that I have is that the mexican music was a tad loud for conversation but it was not that bad. I thought that Kwik Stix (in the same block) was good, however Lucky Lupitas just takes dining at Bedford Park to the next level. And at $100 for five people with drinks and dessert, the value can not be beaten.
