It was my first time visiting the store because I typically purchase online. In terms of trying on clothes, shopping in the store is much better. I tried on a few outfits before purchasing anything. Surprisingly, the dressing room was dirty. There were used tissues/napkins on the wooden seat and floor. I almost did not want to touch anything that is the level of uncleanliness that was going on in there. I tried on my outfits and placed what I did not want in the restocking area. Since one of the dresses was too big, I went to the rack to look for the smaller size. I never looked at the dress to inspect it for damages etc., I only looked at the size. I purchased this item for an upcoming vacation, so I did not remove the items from the bags until about three weeks later while I was packing. At that time, I observed that not only was the slit in the back ripped straight up the seam, but the tag appeared crumbled almost like someone had worn and returned it. I tried calling the store, but they do not have a phone. I called Zara's customer service and the mall to determine if they had a direct number. The bottom line is that Zara stores cannot be contacted directly. I knew that the item was still eligible for return, but I still wanted to speak to someone about it. Thankfully, I returned the item without a problem, but not being able to reach someone locally was frustrating. If I purchase in store again, I will be sure to fully inspect all items before purchasing. read more

So what's different about this Zara from others? 1. There are more clothes on the floor than the hangers, it's beyond crazy- just check the pictures. 2. It's impossible to find someone for help, maybe they are under staff but that's not the customer's fault tho it's makes for an unpleasant shopping experience when you can't find assistance. 3. I'm not sure where to begin here. They are having a very big, clearance, markdown sale so items are thrown all over place. They are on the floor, balled up on the tables and a total mess. But, the staff seems competent and friendly - and working. It wasn't always a high-end shopping experience but it has been reduced to a Marshalls or TJ Max. (Sorry two places). As other reviews wrote, the clothing is somewhat cheap. They have good fits that aren't easy to find other places. The clothes are definitely made small, so if you're fortunate enough to fit into these, it's worth standing in line to get 75% off I suppose. After I finally got to the front of the VERY LONG line on a Saturday, they were pleasant and competent. That's all I ask for. The problem seemed to be caused by two very complicated customers using two of the registers. WHY ARE the four empty registers on the mens side of the store always sitting idle? They don't even have "Closed" sign on them. You just have to "know" to walk to the other room to check out. Very odd. Also, WHY is there a frumpy "security guard" always wondering around staring at his iPhone? Very odd in this mall. read more

The vibe of this store made me feel like I walked into zombie land. They seem to be fully staffed with a nice selection of clothes but even the people at Spencer's have more life & personality to them. I don't know if that's just the culture of Zara or if the staff is just genuinely miserable but my goodness. Cute cloths, but very disappointing customer service. There were several sales personnel on the floor yet only 2 registers were open. Slow day at the mall but line several people deep. No additional staff came to open other registers, no staff greeting or offer of assistance such as directions to to the changing room or directives to an open register. Honestly, i dont know why i still shop at Zara. i dont know how im not scarred after all the cheap material clothes that rip or break on my first wear, which has happened several times. But clearly i havent learned until now. I have bought two separate items on different days that i brought in fro a return. The woman at the register puts both return items on the same receipt, but i only received a refund for half of the total. I drive from bowie all the way to this store for them to tell me that the refund was made which the manager energetically circles over the receipt to show that the refund was divided in half and this has to be taken up with customer service over the phone. so i call and they say i have to go online and go through the chat to send my receipts and i will hear back from them within 24-48 business hours. i dont hear anything back and i call, they tell me they can pull up the receipt from my mastercard number. they then begin to tell me they cannot transfer me to the manager. they out source the customer service to a different country that hardly communicates. they refuse to transfer me over the the manager. I am truly done with Zara. I hate to say they can keep the refund but at this point its more trouble trying to speak to an actual person that can help me. read more

You want to hear the most ridiculous story ever? Zara does NOT have a price adjustment policy. I purchased a skirt for $80 and it dropped to $19 three days later. I go to the store to return the skirt. I ask to repurchase the skirt. They say that can't resell it to me because of covid. It has to sit on a return rack for 24 hours. I've never heard such nonsense in my life. So take the inventory and place it back in your store creating further risk and exposure and deny a sale because of what safety precaution exactly? This is by far the dumbest store policy ever. The store is ALWAYS a mess. The cashiers ALWAYS have a disgusting attitude. The lines are ALWAYS long and staff does not care. I visited this location on a Friday afternoon to pick up an online order but noticed there was a clearance sale so I decided to explore a bit before picking up my items. The clearance items were not very organized but I was able to find a few items to check out. I went to stand in line but it was nearly halfway to the front of the store because only one register was open. Imagine my surprise as I waited in line for over 45 mins as I saw multiple employees working throughout the store, "organizing" the racks but none of them ever came to the front to open another register. The young lady at the register had a positive attitude despite the circumstances, it is the poor management of the store that needs to be improved. read more

I went there like a week ago, I was just looking for a outfit for my kid and then we saw that the fitting room area was a mess so my sister ask if my kid could try something on and one on the lady's say yes so i was outside waiting to see if it was going to fit him , when a man came to me and say do you know the person inside I say yes and he say because this fitting rooms are close I told him that a lady say it was fine since it was just one try on ( for my kid) and he keep telling me that the area was close the lady came out of a door that it was near the fitting rooms and he ask her if there were open and that the last thing he knew it was that there were close and she told him as long as there is someone in this area they're allow to use them.A couple of minutes went by and a police officer came in to talk to another of the girls about investigation that they have going on and the same man came in to the conversation that they're having and say the same thing again that those fitting rooms were close and that the other lady say it was fine and the girl respond with when she's here we do what she say. My jobs have always required to give a good costumer service and in my opinion sometimes when you're not in the same page is better to discuss that in private that doing it in front of costumers I did feel like he was trying to take my sister and my son out of the fitting since he keep asking people the same thing over and over I did feel a little discriminated I was like maybe because we're Hispanic he think we're going to steal or maybe not buy anything I thing he was the manager not sure if area manager or just a new transfer manager but he made me feel so uncomfortable to the point that I didn't event shop for myself after the fitting rooms we went straight to the check out, in which the don't event say hello or nothing they do need better costumer service in there. read more

I have never seen anything like this in my life. I came in on a Monday night and they decided to close down the main register in the women's store but keep the men's register and the kids register open. Not a big deal right? Well, the men's side only accepted card transactions and the duo on the kids side was conducting training. The associate doing the training clearly saw the line wrapped around the store but opted to sacrifice customers time patience for training. The young lady attempting to learn was clearly frustrated and not able to catch on. The trainer finally relieved her of her duties to finally get the line down. read more

We just moved here and I since have never heard of ZARA, we decided to check it out. They have some unique styles, and the prices are pretty decent... it didn't take long to find a cute little outfit and head to the check out counter. We walked up to the register and three Zara employees continued their conversation with each other, glancing at me & then walked off in different directions without acknowledging our presence. So, we walked over to a different section of the store where there was a pretty long, wrap-around line. My husband and I looked at each other, like, 'do we really want to do this?' but I thought, maybe it'll go fast. It didn't. At least ten minutes went by and we didn't move. There were again three people at this register. One was having a personal conversation with another employee about headphones, and someone that looked like a manager, came in briefly to say something to someone and left. Another was on the phone for an extended amount of time. No one was actually checking anyone out -- kind of mind blowing. When you work at a place like this, you basically have ONE JOB: take care of the customers. If you're not doing that in any way or another, what are you actually doing?? Furthermore, this section of the store was a hot mess. It looked like Ross can look at times, but actually worse... Clothes strewn about all over the place. Customer service is actually the easiest thing to fix at any establishment, and the smartest, for obvious reasons. After our 20-30 minute weirdly super bad experience, I was quite compelled to open up Yelp to write a review. @Annapolis Mall, MD-USA I have been a customer FOR YEARS (even before Zara was in the mall). The Annapolis location is the worst. Ever since the pandemic, the dressing rooms have been closed. When asked, the cashier said that there are multiple reasons why the dressing rooms are closed to include short staff and that it is full of product (It looks an entire mess back there), WHICH IS NEVER ON THE FLOOR. The line here is always insanely long, I suppose that you get what you pay for since it is a discount store. More concerning is ZARA's deliberately misleading signage regarding pricing and sales. Items are strewn about and it is impossible to tell what items are on sale. Signs advertise sales but when locating items marked as sale, a sales associate informed me that those items are not on sale. The sale items are unmarked. Annapolis store is a total mess. Store hours are listed online as opening at 11. They don't open until 12! They see people standing outside waiting to return or shop but they do not come out to inform folks that they do not open at 11. Epic fail. I remember when Zara first came to New York back in theand it was a stellar establishment. Now it's just a horrible experience. You can't blame everything on COVID. If you are going to have limited hours just inform customers and change information on the site. Matter of fact, have shortened store hours so that you can keep the place tidy and worth the shopping trip. I was going to exchange items but now I'm just returning. This location is okay. I come to this store because it's super convenient close to my house. The current sale is good, but in those areas are messy. The lines can get long which is very annoying especially when there's only one register open. Everytime I come here, there's one staff that's always helpful I think her name starts with an E or A she is amazing otherwise no one would pay me any mind in the store. I was so happy to see that a Zara opened in Westfield Mall in Annapolis, MD... only to be super disappointed when I tried to purchase items in the store. The ONE cashier closed down [DURING LUNCH HOUR!] because she said it was time for her break, EVEN THOUGH the only other line open (in the men's section), who only had ONE cashier, had a line that was wrapped around the store. Even after mentioning to the first cashier that the other ONE cashier desperately needed help, she shook her head and said she was going on break. I dropped on her counter all of the things I was going to purchase and told her that I was shocked by that kind of customer service and refused to stand in that long line that would clearly have taken over an hour to get through. I visited this store today (7/1) to retrieve an order that was placed online. This store was scheduled to open at 11:00, but the store did not open until after 11:00 with the manager arriving late and no apology to anyone waiting. In addition, after receiving my order (from the store manager) and wanting to return part of the order, the manager indicated that I had wait again in line to return the item....totally unacceptable. While waiting in a growing line to return the item I decided not to keep, the manager decided to walk away from the register leaving only one associate to handle several customers. Customer service in this store needs improvement. Customers should be the first priority, and having everyone wait in line with only one cashier is poor management of the store. read more

I would like to start by saying I never ever leave reviews and also - Zara is one of my favorite clothing brands. This specific store location has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Within the past year, each I have visited I have spent approximately 20 minutes shopping, and at least 30-40 minutes in line. This store typically has one register open while the four to five other store associates stand around folding/organizing clothes and act unprofessionally if you ask them about opening another register. I am currently going on 35 minutes standing in line - with still six customers in front of me. Everyone in line is frustrated to the point of laughter. This happened to me last week here as well.
