They dont take in consideration travel or anything. Event was Saturday. Returned on Monday. Less than 48 hours after the event. This is the second Mens Wearhouse that I have been too, the first one was at the Bowie mall. I walked in and was looking at suites about 10 min. later a man comes over and helps me out with the fitting of a jacket, then he walks away doesn't say Ill be rite back or nothing. I waited about another 10 min. and walked out, on the way out the same man says have a nice day. \\\ Drove to Annapolis MW and as soon as I walked through the door there was a gentleman that asked is there something I can help you with, I said yes I need a suit for a wedding on Oct. 1. He asked what color I needed he looked me over picked out a few jackets and came back I tried them on, one was a too big and the other just a little too big. He said no worries you have plenty of time for alterations he then went and picked out pants, the person doing alterations had gone for the day so he put the suit away and said come back for the fitting.. I'm not sure what is up with the negative reviews for this location. I have been to this location three separate times within the last month, with different employees working, and all employees have been nothing short of professional and attentive. Have to give a major shout-out to Al! My fiancé and I have zero experience when it came to knowing where to even start when choosing a suit. Al walked us around the store, and found exactly what I had in mind. He then had my fiancé fitted for alterations, and he even helped us pick out a tie and a shirt! My fiancé and I were kind of nervous about a process that seemed so intimidating, but Al was so kind, personable, and efficient that I knew I had to reactivate my old Yelp and send a review. Such a top-notch experience, and we won't ever forget Al and his kindness and expertise. I would not hesitate to send friends and family to this location. read more

My fiancé and I came in excited to rent suits for our wedding. The man helping us, while polite enough, offered no greeting, and seemed confused about what he was doing from the beginning. I found it awkward he didn't say anything at all about it being our wedding like congrats or even when is it perhaps... We are looking to rent for 9 people so I'd think it'd be a good sales opportunity. And we might buy my fiancé's suit too. But he barely spoke to us and the vibe was just awkward silence the whole time. Which was a long time, even though we want something basic. At one point there were 2 other groups waiting for rental assistance so he called the other worker in the front for help. I kid you not when his coworker (50ish, long gray hair) yelled back across the store, "what do you want?? No. I'm so tired man." And didn't come help. I almost laughed it was so crazy, and rude. So I felt bad for our guy. But then he couldn't even give us pricing and it was just dragging on and on for no reason. This was something we were looking forward to doing. And I would have rather gone to the dentist. So we're going to rent from somewhere else, which hadn't been even considered before today. Also a note for anyone else in the same boat, it looks like the Annapolis Jos A Banks has the same management because the same customer service person responds to the reviews on both. I'm am extremely disappointed with the service at this branch. When I came in to get fitted the guy that I had my appointment never pulled a tape to measure me... Nothing... When I asked he said he knew what he was doing. Welp he ordered the wrong suit and style even after I tripled checked with him. We paid so much money for our suits. Now we have to spend an extra $300 for alterations... I'm irritated and Do not recommend this branch to anyone. The tall older rental guy was so sweet tho. I had a wedding party that rented suits from men's warehouse and 50% of them were wrong. Two of my groomsmen weren't even sized, they just guessed. None of them were ready until the 1-2 days before so there was little time for fixing the incorrect suits. The costumer service was absolutely terrible. The amount of money that we spend to RENT a suit and it was a terrible experience. I will never recommend men's warehouse to anyone ever again. read more

The employees here must not work on commission. I experienced miserable customer service. There was certainly no shortage of employees to offer help. However, these employees were far too occupied on there phones. I wish my groomsmen suit wasn't a MW number, because I would have left immediately if I had entered to make a personal purchase. But Men's Wearhouse in Annapolis really made me download this app. I came into the location, walked up to the associate and said "I really need a suit for a wedding but am pretty inexperienced in buying a suit. Would you be able to help me?" The associate looked at me and said "sure." And then walked me over to the suits section and walked away without a word. I'm the type of person who totally understands if a retail location is busy but I was one of two potential customers in the location. To top it all off I could hear the associate listening to Tik Toks on their phone while sitting at the register. Safe to say, I was fully prepared to buy a nice suit, a few shirts, and a pair of shoes tonight but instead walked out and intend to go elsewhere with my business. read more

I've purchased from this store before and they were very helpful. I guess times have changed. I walked in the store and all the staff were in the back. Eventually, someone came over to me and I said "hello". Their response was a blank stare. Very unfriendly. I explained what I was looking for and was pointed towards a few areas and that was the end of the assistance they provided. I started looking, then decided I would just take my business elsewhere. The salespeople were decent. But when you buy a suit here, I'd recommend getting it tailored elsewhere. After requesting a half break in the pants, I was extremely frustrated to put this suit on and realize she didn't listen at all and gave me half an inch shorter than no break. My fiancé and I didn't have the greatest experience at another local men's warehouse, but wanting the convenience, we decided to give this location a shot. We met Avery upon arrival and he immediately took care of us. My fiancé wanted something different and instead of telling us no, he gave us suggestions and helped us find the perfect tux for the groom and his groomsmen. You know, I didn't write a review immediately but as the process has gone on, I continue to be unhappy with Men's Warehouse and their customer service. As somebody who works in retail, I am thoroughly disgusted at their inability to provide good customer service. I went to MW to look at the swatch of fabric my fiance had selected for the wedding to determine what my dad (the father of the bride) should wear. Upon arrival, my mother and myself were confused as to whom we should speak to but made our way to the back counter where the employee working the computer could not have cared less that we were seeking help. If I had a customer standing across from me at my computer, I would look them in the eye with a smile and say "Good morning, how are you doing today? Is there something that I can help you with?" And proceed to eagerly await their response no matter how annoying it may seem. HOWEVER in this instance we were greeted with blank stares and so I proceeded to fill the silence with, "Hello, I came to see if I could look at the swatch of material my fiance selected for the wedding party so that we could compare the colors of my dad's suit to the color my fiance selected." To which her response was silence as she began clicking through her computer again. I then, awkwardly shared that I had the wedding group number and name to which she responded with more devastating silence. After about 10 minutes of her clicking through the computer in deafening silence, she walked away to where the swatches were hanging on the wall and we decided that meant to follow her and so we did. Then, she flipped through about 100 swatches and laid out 50 on the table proceeding to ask me "is this it?" for each one. Like I'm sorry, but the exact serial number is in your system which should allow you to identify which one it is. Her asking this just made it painfully more evident how much she didn't know their own system works... After a painfully long amount of time watching her flounder through all the fabrics, a kind young gentlemen came over to help after noticing her very evident struggle. Within 5 minutes, this gentlemen was able to find the swatch. While I commend his ability to step in and help, I have to ask... is there not a numerical order that the swatches are organized in? Even the kind gentlemen took almost all the swatches off the wall to check each style # before finding the correct one. This seems like either 1.there is not a good system or 2.the employees haven't been taught how to efficiently use the system. If MW hopes to improve their business, they need to work on training their employees in what good customer service looks like. The product is great but for the service I am receiving at MW I'd rather take my business elsewhere. read more

Many of the employees seem to just stand around and not wanting to help a customer who walks in. Waited almost 10 minutes for someone to helps us and another 15 for them to find our suit. The absolutely worst place to go to. I scheduled a 12:30 appointment for a wedding party of 8 and we were waiting for 45 minutes before any of the stuck up employees would even talk to use. I waited in the check out line to possible assist with getting help and this lady was just ride to me. My fiancé and his brother were still waiting for be helped back at the appointment center, the guy that was on staff walked right past us and started to help another customers THAT DID NOT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT!!! 10/24/19 10.30 am. I rented a tuxedo last year, the experience was good. I called today to get my sizes for my wife so she can do some Christmas shopping. I spoke with Mike and he suggested that I come in and get measured again as sizes change. I said that it was ok I havent changed that much. I was placed on hold and he said he couldn't find my sizes. I asked a couple of different ways and finally asked him who I could speak with to get my sizes, to which he said "oh my God" and placed me on hold. Mike came back and said again that he couldn't find them. You mean you do not have a record of my order from last year, I said. He said he didn't to which I responded when I came in last year to get my rental they were able to pull me up without a problem. Finally, he relented and gave me sizes. This wasted 7 minutes of my life and was a battle. All I wanted was my sizes so my wife could spend more money at your store. We will be going to Joseph A Banks from now on. read more

They are not even worthy of 1 star. The staff of this location are disgusting examples of humanity. This is our second experience with them. The first time he was a groomsmen they gave him a grooms tuxedo. The second time was a special kind of nightmare. They had multiple staff in the store but only 1 person for a HUGE line of pick ups. Three people at 2 registers and someone stocking socks. I had an infant with me and waited an hour to pick up and 20 minutes for them to read (pretty sure she was functionally illiterate, could not spell Scott) and find the tux in front of them. I told the cashier that I was dissatisfied with the customer service and they need a better system. With that an ebonics speaking woman who was not involved starts arguing with me from behind the counter. "You ain't gonna be telling me how the fuck to do my job". I approach the manager Chris. He dismisses me and won't come up front while his very GHETTO staff is threatening me. A male staff member proceeds to place his hand on my boyfriends shoulder while he is holding my infant son. So how does Chris the manager act "get the fuck out of my store or I am calling the police". I told him yes, please do! I have been threatened and called a "white bitch". I have a gang of people pointing out I am the minority amongst your staff and putting hands on my husband. I have taken this to the TOP. Even with a full refund it does not make this ok! We get to the wedding and are missing a piece of the tux. I call and Chris hangs up on me. Tells me call the regional manager he won't help me. They are 2 for 2 on accuracy. They have no customer service capabalities. They are a disgrace to the MW name and to society with their bigotry and vulgar language. They cannot communicate with the educated public. I cannot stress enough how much I urge you to avoid this place. read more

My fiancee and I swung by the Annapolis Festival at Riva location today with the intent of finding the perfect Grooms' tuxedo for our wedding. We Planned to order 8 total tuxedos, but the service was so horrendous that the location has lost our wedding business and any business they would have had in the future. We walked in and it was about five minutes before we were greeted or approached by a salesperson--meanwhile employees chatted idly behind the counter. When an employee finally approached us, he acted like he did not care, and waved us towards a book of options while he left. After looking at the book for about 15 minutes, without any employees coming over to assist us further, we left. There are plenty of other men's dressware retailers in the Annapolis area, many with much better service. read more

I have worn suits four to six days a week for many years and have shopped at this Men's Wearhouse for about eight years. Contrary to Jeffrey H.'s experience, I have had consistently good service and found great suits at a reasonable price. I have never spent more than a couple of minutes browsing before one of their employees offers to help.They set up a small display of shirts, ties, and accessories that match each suit that I select. Which is a great service for someone like me who doesn't want to spend a lot of time shopping. read more

I normally don't give Yelp reviews but have now been so inclined because of our very negative experience with this Mens Wearhouse. My husband and I came in here to get suits for our wedding party and were greeted by Kelvin... The issue I had right off the bat was that we wanted very simple suits with no jacket (just a vest and slacks) and Kelvin kept trying to up-sell us on not only suit jackets but socks, ties and shoes. We kept saying we did not need them but every time we came back there for fittings and such he KEPT bringing it up... Strike 1. Strike 2 is that we told Kelvin all the groomsmen's names and sizes (Since they got fitted at other locations since they live all over the country) via email and he said he would have them "no problem" by the end of the week (at this point we are about 2 months out of the wedding). We believe that Kelvin will have this done (since its not rocket science), so we schedule to meet up with him again about a month out from the wedding just to see that all the sizes are there. My husband goes into the store on this date and Kelvin not only does not know who my husband is but claims he never got the suit sizes from me. My husband calls me and I tell him I am looking right at the email I sent him (from 4 weeks earlier), which proceeds Kelvin to fumble about on his computer (with my husband looking over his shoulder) to see that, yes, the email is indeed there. Kelvin just had managed to completely disregard our meeting time for this day AND, more importantly, did not have any of the suits and sizes in. My husband agrees to come back at the end of the week to check in AGAIN on sizes. Strike 3: My husband goes back and the suits ARE NOT ALL THERE! WHAT IN THE WORLD??????!!!!!! Kelvin again asks if we sent him the sizes... AGAIN! And we said, we had this conversation last time and YES we did send them in! Kelvin fumbles about again and says he will have them in the next day and will call my husband in the morning when he physically has them in his hands. My husband even tried on his vest and the buckle on the vest came off and Kelvin seemed to blame it on my husband saying "it was just there"... but my husband hadn't even tried it on yet. This sort of behavior continues until THE FRIDAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING (we got married that next day) and all the groomsmen show up to be fitted. OF COURSE THE SUITS AND VESTS ARE NOT READY! I cannot even begin to explain my stress level at this point. Kelvin assured us the suits would be ready 2 months ago and the men would only need to be "fitted" that day before when all the groomsmen are in town (which he insisted would only take a half hour or so) but they WERE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO READY! Kelvin would literally look at one of the groomsmen's suit, get them fitted, we'd hand the suit back to him and he would lay it down wherever was convenient and then moved to the next person-- BUT HE NEVER WROTE DOWN THEIR SIZE BEFORE MOVING ON! We had to write down everything ourselves because Kelvin would forget (and that's me being nice about it) to write down each of the fitted sizes-- YOU HAVE ONE JOB, KELVIN! HOW DO YOU NOT WRITE DOWN THE SIZES?!??! We essentially had to do Kelvin's job for him. To sum up, our suits weren't ready until the morning of our wedding. We were about to take photos so one of the Groomsmen had to go out to pick up the suits instead of my husband (which was probably a smart move because he was so disgusted by this customer service by then)-- thank goodness our wedding was in the evening and not earlier. I would NOT recommend anyone go to this store... I couldn't believe the lack of common sense, customer service and complete disregard for our time that this store had for us. And to top it off, they gave my husband the wrong vest so it wasn't fitted correctly... AWESOME. Don't go here. read more

We went in for some professional job interviewing clothes for my son - he had an important interview the next day! Sandra and the staff could not have been nicer, more accommodating, or more knowledgeable. Sandra measured him, then helped him pick out a perfectly fitting blazer (she had him try on different ones to demonstrate the different fits), two pairs of dress pants, two shirts and 3 ties - all coordinating together for lots of professional outfits. She listened carefully to what he liked and did not, and continued to show him lots of different shirt and tie combinations with her recommendations for looking professional and coordinated. It took lots of tries until he found several that he really liked, but Sandra was so friendly and helpful. She explained to him how best to clean everything. She was able to have the new pants hemmed and the new shirts steamed for us while we ran out for a quick dinner, and everything was perfect and ready for pick up by closing time. The same night! Everyone in the store wished him luck on his interview as he left. Such a great experience. He looked and felt great and confident for his interview. If you are looking for men's dress clothes and would like help and professional recommendations on picking things out, I really recommend going here for the friendly and knowledgeable service. read more
